Kamal's oops! moment…
Kamal Haasan should know that by his comments he has deeply hurt the sentiments of Kannada speaking public. He commits faux pas often. Previously he had made derogatory statements in Big Boss reality show. Hassan has a habit of slip of tongue and he goofs up in giving speeches in public and in reality shows. He often uses cuss words , derogatory statements and unparliamentary language in his reality shows. Due to this habit, he has even faced the rage of the then Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha . Previously also he has done a blunder by naming the name of sexual assault victim and even compared her with ' Draupadi'. So, it will be better to Kamal Hassan to talk less in public speeches and in reality shows.

Kamal Haasan's 'Tamil gave birth to Kannada' has stirred up a hornet's nest. Now, the people of Karnataka will have their pound of flesh, no less. Benjamin Franklin had rightly said -- 'A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.' This is a classic case of speaking before thinking. Confucius was right when he said -- 'The tongue must be heavy indeed, because so few people can hold it.'

Bollywood unites entire nation
Apropos the article 'Stalwarts from the world of entertainment...' as human beings evolved their inner emotions and desires needed some sort of self- expression, and all the fine arts are nothing but a desire of the human race to project itself. Theatre was the first entertainment in the olden ages and only after the motion pictures were introduced and developed did the film industry in India begin to prosper. Every region has its own film industry but Bollywood or the Hindi film industry towers above them all because of its reach.
The fame of Bollywood stars has touched many other nations too and it is gratifying to note that even in places in Europe; the likes of Shah Rukh Khan has thousands of eager fans awaiting his films release. Bollywood is also the single largest factor that unites the whole nation; even though in recent times the Southern films are finding audiences in the North too. The likes of Satyajit Ray, Dilip Kumar , Lata Mangeshkar and others have enriched the lives of not only Indians but internationally too.

Develop infrastructure for film industry in AP
The controversy over the bandh of cinema hall in AP has become a talking point today as Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's 'Hara Hara Veeramallu' is going to be released in the theatres from June 12 across the Telugu-speaking cinema halls. As it is being prominent person's film both in politics and Tollywood naturally the issue got focused among public.
In the past both politicians and the people in the entertainment field helped each other in times of troubles . The prominent figures and yesteryears heroes helped the government by mobilizing funds from the public as well as from their own pockets especially disasters like cyclone and famine. With that mutual cooperation the Tollywood base was shifted to Hyderabad. Meanwhile the state was bifurcated.
As result of it Tollywood is in typical condition in which shootings in TS and marketing in AP. Thus, it is time for AP government which has roots in Tollywood must develop infrastructure for shootings in AP particularly in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati. At the same time government must give equal important to big budget films as well as small budget films. Similarly the government ponder over how to make entertainment to common people by focusing on facilities, ticket prices , prices of eatables in the theatre premises.

'All Kamal Haasan films to be banned in Karnataka', says minister after actor refuses to apologise on Kannada remark row
Karnataka Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi on Friday made it clear that actor Kamal Haasan's films will be "banned" in the state, as decided by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC), if he does not apologise for his remarks about the Kannada language. Meanwhile, KFCC president M Narasimhalu said exhibitors and distributors themselves have voluntarily decided not to screen his movie if he doesn't apologise. KFCC on Thursday said that it will not allow the release of Haasan's film Thug Life in Karnataka unless he issues a public apology by May 30 for his controversial remarks about the Kannada language. Actor-politician Haasan's recent statement claiming that "Kannada was born out of Tamil" during a promotional event for his upcoming film has sparked widespread outrage among pro-Kannada groups and cultural organisations. "I have written a letter, After that, the film chamber of commerce has also taken a good decision and held a press meet yesterday saying that if he doesn't apologise in two days his film will be banned. I extend my compliments to the film chamber of commerce as the Minister for Kannada and Culture," Tangadagi said. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, he said that irrespective of how big the person is, who has spoken against -- Kannada, Kannadigas and Karnataka's land and water -- it will not be tolerated. Haasan has to apologise, if not as decided by the film chamber of commerce, his films will be banned. "We will not allow it, if he doesn't apologise. He should apologise. Any light comment against Kannada will not be tolerated. If he doesn't apologise, we will take our decision," he added. Asked if his films will be banned in case an apology doesn't come, Tangadagi responded, "Yes". Responding to a question on actor Shivarajkumar's response to the controversy, the minister said he has asked the Kannada star to talk about it with Haasan. "I spoke to Shivarajkumar about this when we shared the stage yesterday. Dr Rajkumar (Shivrajkumar's father and Kannada thespian) and family have worked a lot for Kannada cause, likewise Kannadaiga's have also nurtured them. As a senior actor you (Shivarajkumar) make him (Kamal Hassan) understand. I told him on the stage. We cannot tolerate it. Let Shivarajkumar or another senior actor speak to him," he said. Further pointing at a controversy involving singer Sonu Nigam on Kannada issue, he said if actors from other languages come and speak about Kannada, should we tolerate it? "It cannot be tolerated. I support the stand taken by the film chamber of commerce. The government is with them on this matter." To a question on reported statements by some actors against the move to obstruct Haasan's movie, Tangadagi asked, "...should we keep hearing such comments about Kannada? We want to see Kamal Haasan as an actor, but not as an actor limited to one language, because he has acted in all languages. Respecting actors is our duty, but when it comes to language, whoever it is-- language is first, rest all later. So there is no question of compromise." Speaking to reporters separately, Narasimhalu said if Haasan doesn't apologise, exhibitors and distributors have decided not to go against Kannadigas. "The industry is with Kannada organisations and the people." Kannada organisations have expressed anger over his statement. There is demand that his movies should not be released here. "Political leaders have also condemned his statement-- whether those in the government or those from the opposition. We are not taking any action legally, but the exhibitors and distributors themselves are saying that they will not screen the movie and will screen other films. They have taken the decision by themselves. We are not saying don't release or ban," he said. Stating that KFCC is in touch with the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, and its president Ravi Kottarakara is in touch with Haasan, Narasimhalu said the actor may be adamant on not apologising due to political reasons, but hope that there is a clarity in one or two days. "During such incidents, star actors in the past have apologised, such things have happened, nothing new," he added. Meanwhile, in Chennai, Haasan, yet again, declined to apologise and said he believed in law and justice and his love for Karnataka was true. He claimed that the alleged warning by pro-Kannada groups threatening to boycott his film if does not apologise for his remark, was not new and that he had been threatened in the past.

Back to glory: Literary Park to celebrate Prayagraj's rich legacy
In a move to preserve and promote Prayagraj as a centre of literary and cultural heritage, a dedicated literary park is all set to come up in Sangam city soon. Prayagraj, previously known as Allahabad, was once known as the influential centre of literary creativity in Hindi and Urdu. The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) has already initiated the process in this regard, and the Construction and Design Services (C&DS) division of Jal Nigam has been designated as the implementation agency for this project, said officials. The proposed park would come up near the existing Shivalaya Park in the Arail area of Prayagraj, and the land for it has already been identified. Being constructed over two-and-a-half acres of land, the park would come up at a cost of over ₹12.03 crore. The funds have been sanctioned, and the first installment of over ₹6.01 crore has been released. 'The park's construction will start in June and will be completed within a year,' said Rohit Kumar Rana, project manager, C&DS. Prayagraj has been known not only as a religious city but also for its literary and cultural heritage. It has a rich literary history, serving as a major centre for Hindi and Urdu literature, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries. It has been home to many literary giants and has a strong tradition of book-reading and literary events. Many prominent writers, including Munshi Premchand, Mahadevi Varma, Sumitranandan Pant, Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala', Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Upendra Nath 'Ashk', and Harivansh Rai Bachchan, are associated with Prayagraj. But in the last few decades, not much effort has been made to develop or conserve it, concede officials. The construction of a literary park is an effort in this very direction so that local citizens and tourists can get information about this heritage, they maintain. C&DS project manager Rohit Kumar Rana said that first, a Saraswati Pavilion will be constructed in the park, in which statues of 16 major Hindi litterateurs will be installed. A Triveni Amphitheatre will also be constructed here, where cultural events will be held. There will be a huge library-cum-convention hall inside the park, which will have a collection of literature created by these litterateurs and their memories, he explained. The official said that there will also be a book-selling centre inside this park so that literature lovers can buy the books of the noted litterateurs to take with them. There will also be a kids' zone for children in the park. A food plaza will also be constructed for snacks and beverages like tea, coffee, fruit juices, and soft drinks, he added.
