Hailee Steinfeld made the latest stop on her 'Sinners' promotional tour with an appearance on 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday in New York City. The actress stars in the forthcoming film alongside Michael B. Jordan.
For her 'GMA' appearance, Steinfeld opted for the utilitarian trend styled recently by such stars as Leslie Bibb, among others. Steinfeld wore a covert twill utility jumpsuit courtesy of Michael Kors Collection. The gray jumpsuit featured an exaggerated, sinuous collar and angular lapels.

As for her glam, Steinfeld kept her look clean and simple. The Oscar-nominated 'True Grit' actress opted for a serene makeup look with soft features, including a pink lip. Her hair was styled with a side part and featured soft curls.
Prior to her 'GMA' appearance, Steinfeld joined members of the 'Sinners' cast and creative team for the film's premiere in Mexico City on Monday. For the red carpet event, the actress wore a high-low black dress with long sleeves courtesy of Fendi.
Steinfeld accentuated her modern gothic look with a pair of pointed toe heels courtesy of Rodo. Steinfeld's hair was styled in a tight, sleek look courtesy of Ricky Fraser. Her makeup included dark glamour inspiration by Ash K. Holm. Steinfeld collaborated with stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi on her 'Sinners' promotional looks.
'Sinners,' directed by Ryan Coogler, follows twins Elias and Elijah Smoke (Michael B. Jordan). In an effort to leave their past behind them, the brothers return home, only to find an even greater evil awaits them. The film hits theaters April 18.

Vampire horror movie Sinners is now available to buy, and fans are rediscovering their favorite moments, from its killer soundtrack to Remmick's line delivery

Sinners is now available on digital, and fans of the vampire horror flick have wasted no time in watching the movie again and sharing their favorite moments online. As of June 3, 2025, Ryan Coogler's horror hit is ready to buy and watch at home on Prime Video and other movie purchasing sites. This has led to a resurgence of Sinners discourse online, with many fans sharing key scenes they loved in the theater that they are now able to watch again and again – including that iconic music sequence. "Sinners exploring the past, present, and future of black music is one of the most magical moments in cinematic history," said one fan on Twitter. Upon Sinners' release, this scene in particular proved to be a hit with viewers, painting a powerful tapestry of African American culture throughout the decades. Another detail that fans have picked up on, which you may have missed in theaters, is when Smoke goes to visit Annie at her house. There, she strikes a match, which lines up perfectly with the backing track. "I was sold from the start with Sinners, but the moment Ludwig synced these guitar hits to the match strikes,' said one fan. 'I knew this movie was really something special." Of course, fans are not forgetting about some of the more horrific scenes that come later in the film. When Smoke, Sammie, and the others are hiding out at the Juke Joint, Remmick and his vampire army wait outside. In one jumpy moment, Remmick appears at the open door shouting, "Sammie!" Remmick's line delivery in this moment has reminded fans of star Jack O'Connell's rather underrated take on a vampire. "Finally, the Adam Sandler line delivery from Sinners has hit the timeline," said one Twitter user, adding that this is very much a compliment. "It reminded me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining," said another, with many other fans adding that they just cannot stop saying 'Sammie' just like Remmick. Sinners is certainly in the running to be the best movie of the year, and the reaction to its digital release just proves it. The movie hit theaters on April 18 and was met with rave reviews and a near-perfect 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, pulling in over $350 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Ryan Coogler Never Planned To Make A ‘Sinners' Sequel But Social Media Debates Decision Amid Film's Success

Source: Gareth Cattermole / Getty Ryan Coogler shook off the naysayers who thought his most recent movie, Sinners, would have an unclear path to profit. After $200 million and counting in global box office receipts, Coogler's film helped revive in-theater moviegoing after its release on April 18. But he says, despite the success of the movie, he never intended to make a sequel. In a resurfaced interview with Ebony, Coogler said that he always saw Sinners as a standalone project. 'I've been in a space of making franchise films for a bit, so I wanted to get away from that,' he said.'I was looking forward to working on a film that felt original and personal to me and had an appetite for delivering something to audiences that was original and unique.' However, now that Coogler's film has blasted way past projections, the filmmaker may reconsider. After all, before Sinners, most Hollywood observers thought Coogler could only carry a franchise flick – one whose intellectual property was owned by others. His deal with Warner Bros. to own the movie after 25 years now looks like a genius move and a sure path to generational wealth for his (almost) three young children. (Wife Zinzi, who co-produced the movie, is pregnant.) 'I'm not the first filmmaker to get any of these deals,' he told Amy Goodman of Democracy Now. 'And Warner Bros. is not the first studio to provide these deals to a filmmaker. I think that a lot has been made of my deal in particular. I'm not totally sure why, but I have my guesses, but I've been in the industry long enough to know what deals are possible and nothing about this deal is a new thing.' Coogler said that while he knows why the attention is on him for making the deal happen, he preferred not to say why he thinks the industry was so surprised by it. So we'll say it for him: nobody thought a Black filmmaker could negotiate such a rich deal. But all of Coogler's films have been either critically acclaimed or blockbusters or both. Sinners just proved Coogler can do a wholly original film that hits cultural touchpoints and puts butts back in movie theater seats. 'I've been in a space of making franchise films for a bit, so I wanted to get away from that,' he told Ebony. 'I was looking forward to working on a film that felt original and personal to me and had an appetite for delivering something to audiences that was original and unique.' So, coming off a film that has proven to be lucrative for him and a story that audiences embraced might mean a change of mind. Maybe. But he initially said that for him, Sinners is a one-and-done. 'I wanted the movie to feel like a full meal: your appetizers, starters, entrees, and desserts, I wanted all of it there.' He added, 'I wanted it to be a holistic and finished thing. That was how I was asked all about it. That was always my intention.' Sinners is now available on-demand for purchase for $25 on Prime Video and Apple TV+ and can be rented for $20 from the same platforms. Social media is debating whether Sinners should get a sequel.
