Nova 93.7's Nathan Morris of Perth's wildly popular breakfast show Nathan, Nat and Shaun has revealed the reason behind his noticeable absence.
Speaking on Monday morning on his first show back after more than three months off, Nathan explained he had been dealing with some legal issues.
'Something happened in my personal life that was one of these monumental things that happens that you can't really process,' he said.
'Something comes in that's so different no one has gone through it, no one can give you advice. The return of beloved Perth breakfast radio host Nathan Morris has finally been confirmed after an extended absence from the airwaves. Credit: Nova 93.7
'It started back last year and reared again this year. I can't speak too much about it because there is legal proceedings that's got nothing to do with me but I cannot speak about it because of that.'
Joking that he also spent a lot of time at hardware store Bunning's and brushed up on his DIY skills during his time off, Morris said it was like forward projecting to what his retired life would look like.

Albo slams popular Aussie tradition that he can't understand

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese considers himself to be a man of the people, but there's one very Aussie tradition that he insists he'll never partake in. Appearing on Nova 93.7's Nathan, Nat & Shaun breakfast show in Perth on Tuesday, Mr Albanese was asked if he did a 'shoey' after claiming his recent Federal election win over the Liberal Party's Peter Dutton. 'I was at my local rissole, the RSL at Canterbury. It was a bit of a loose night from the troops,' he said. 'There were hundreds and hundreds of people. It was nice…I had a beer on the night of May 3.' If you'd like to view this content, please adjust your . To find out more about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Guide. While he might have taken the opportunity to curry favour among younger members of the community, the Labor leader was emphatic in his disapproval of the 'shoey' after being pushed by the radio hosts. 'No chance of me ever doing a 'shoey'. None,' the PM insisted. 'We're gonna keep this, I reckon at some stage, someone will get ya,' host Shaun McManus said. 'Not gonna happen,' Mr Albanese quipped. Namely, one largely responsible for the unsanitary celebration's status as a national pastime. '(Daniel) Ricciardo might be over at The Lodge at some stage and you'll do a 'shoey' with him,' McManus suggested. 'I would just find... nah, disgusting,' the PM doubled down. Ricciardo, a gregarious former F1 driver from Perth, introduced the 'shoey' to the world during his successful stint at Red Bull Racing where he would pour champagne into his race shoe following a victory and drink from it. It became a popular act among crowds over the years, with Aussie MotoGP rider also partaking — and other celebrities have since followed suit. UK rappers Pete & Bas performed at Jack Rabbit Slim's in Northbridge on Tuesday, and drew rapturous applause while doing a 'shoey' on stage. The celebration also has several ties to Aussie bar culture from the 20th century. 'A shoe is sacrilege, you know? A beer should be in a glass or a can. Not in a shoe,' he added. 'It could be a 0 per cent beer?' Wallman followed up. 'Even worse,' the PM scoffed. Mr Albanese was in town for a Cabinet meeting, and has a made a habit of stopping by the Nova studio in Subiaco during his visits to Perth. In March, the PM declared he'd become a fan of reality show Married At First Sight, despite holding off on progressing with his own wedding plans until after the election. Sharing a photo online with stars Jeff and Rhi who were in the studio, followers found it odd that the PM would align himself with a TV show under investigation by NSW Police and SafeWork. The investigation was triggered when an alleged off-air incident between contestants Carina and Paul resulted in Paul punching a hole in the wall of their apartment. 'Nice to see you support a show that is currently being investigated for violence against women…… why won't you address the femicide that is ongoing in our country????' one person asked. Another wrote, 'Yeh, nah. This isn't it. Supporting a show that clearly falls well short of protecting their participants. Nah.'

‘Trying to kill us': Ruby Rose makes troubling claims

Australian actor Ruby Rose has sparked concern among fans after claiming people are 'trying to kill' her and making a chilling comparison to Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre. The 39-year-old made the troubling claims on Monday while responding to an innocuous question on Threads. An American radio host posted a question on his own account, asking: 'Who is a celebrity that gave it all up at the height of fame to go live a 'normal' life?' Ruby re-posted the question, writing, 'We just leave when people try to kill us. When we are illegally debanked and (redacted). Hope that helps'. She continued: 'I don't want to be labelled 'crazy' and I don't want to pretend to know how Virginia Giuffre died — but DOZENS of people including a school bus, have tried to run me off the road in the last few years. The posts Ruby Rose made on Threads. Credit: Threads 'I have been followed almost every time I leave my home, since the day I broke my neck back and ribs on Batwoman. Since then I have doubled down on (redacted) and Epstein. 'This has resulted in some seriously wild attempts on my life. Believe it or don't. But I might as well update you.' Virginia Giuffre was a high-profile victim of billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein who died on her farm in Neergabby, about 80km north of Perth, in April in circumstances that were not deemed suspicious. Just weeks before Giuffre's death, she claimed she had just days to live after being involved in a crash with a school bus. However, police later confirmed the collision was minor and no major injuries were reported after the crash. Australian actress and television presenter Ruby Rose in 2023. Fans took to the comments section to express their concern over Ruby's safety. One person said: 'If you're truly being followed and targeted, staying put is dangerous. You need to move ideally to another country , where you can be safe and off the radar. Trust no one unless you're absolutely sure of them. Change your routine completely. This isn't about fear, it's about survival. Your safety comes first act now !!!' 'I really hope that from now on that you have are able to stay safe and live a happy life,' another said. Ed Sheeran: Global English pop star teases return to Australia for ‘Start of 2026' in casual TikTok comment

English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has casually confirmed that his much-anticipated return to Australia will take place in early 2026, three years on from his last run of stadium shows. In May, the globetrotting 34-year-old launched The Mathematics Tour in Europe, and has been leaving traces of his travel antics on TikTok as fans beg for the star to appear in their location. Dropping his most recent adventures in Madrid to the platform, the Lego House hitmaker responded to one particular comment regarding his plans to return Down Under. 'How does coming back to Australia soon sound to you?' the fan asked. Nonchalantly, Sheeran responded, 'Start of 2026'. PerthNow reached out to the star's management, who preferred not to double-down on the announcement but hinted at potential news later in the year. 'We aren't in the habit of pre-announcing announcements — but there will be news on our plans for 26 later this summer,' a representative for Sheeran said. Remarkably, the four-time Grammy winner's most recent Australian campaign in 2023 featured an earlier version of The Mathematics Tour — which launched globally in Dublin in April 2022. The former busker's singular Perth gig at Optus Stadium became the highest ticketed event in WA's history, with more than 70,000 fans flooding the precinct to hear his signature sound. Written as '+–=÷×', the same name was given to a compilation album Sheeran released in September 2024, and follows a theme of mathematical numbers and figures from previous works. On social media, the star has been met with encouragement from Aussies as they anticipate his next venture to their country. Pleas of 'Can't wait to see you in Australia' and 'We miss you' are a common theme. Sheeran's next album — titled Play — is set for release on September 12, which would likely usher in a new tour campaign and chapter in the star's 15-year professional career. Releasing tracks Azizam and Old Phone in recent months, the project marks the father of two's eighth studio album. With iconic songs Shape of You, Perfect, and Photograph all boasting in excess of two billion streams respectively on Spotify, Sheeran is the platform's third-most followed global artist with 90 million monthly listeners. The singer has collaborated with the likes of Adele, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Beyonce, punctuating his status as a pioneer of the pop genre.
