Music legend Gloria Jones Keynote at Beckenham Conference
Legendary Motown singer-songwriter and composer Gloria Jones famed for her song ' Tainted(*) Love,' (s keynoting at the trailblazing 'Evolution of Finance,' conference aimed at transforming women's relationship with finance at Beckenham Spa on Thursday12th June 2025,( https://www.mytimeactive.co.uk/locations/spa-beckenham
Hosted by the Queen of Connection Jackie Groundsell from the 1230 The Women's Company,
a leading UK's business women's network; the conference is designed to tackle the often tainted relationship which women experience in business finance, investments and long-term wealth building and how all this impacts their relationships and vice versa.

Lessons from a music legend:
Since the age of 17, Gloria has always found a way to stay creative and has been writing songs since 1968.
She has written for Gladys Knight and the Pipps,
Marvin Gaye, the Jackson Five, Diana Ross and many more. She bought her first home at the age of 21, funded by her creativity.
Gloria's advice for women in business:
' As long as you have an idea, as long as you can
create, you can stay afloat. As well as your health and your right mind, and your ideas, and you are creating, and you are living, and when you are excited about life, because that is all in financing'
She believes that only reason people give up is that they cannot deal with change, or they cannot deal with life experiences, women have learned to become stronger now,
' It's having the confidence the knowledge and the experience to take the risk, you can't do any of this if you don't trust yourself to take that risk.
This is why I want to promote hope, and why I am launching a perfume, because I can! ' (**)
Her new perfume called ' Revenge,' out on 7th June.
' Most of the time when you hear the word it sounds negative but I look at it, it's about never giving up and to keep on going! ' Gloria Jones.
Finding deeper meaning with money and life.
Despite all of her incredible creative success when she started to do all of her charity work, it gave her life a deeper meaning and it still does.
She got involved in charity work which helped her to learn how to be human again, after seeing a child eating out of a trash can, and not understanding that that's how that child lives and survives.
When she was in South Africa, and wanted to help the street children, who did not have any food she simply did not know what to do. So she asked her Lawyer who said go to the market and find out the days that they are just throwing away food. She went to the market and they said to her that the spare food was going to the farmer to feed his pigs.
They said to ask the farmer if they would give her a day for her to give the surplus food to the children and they said yes on Wednesdays and that was the start of the Gloria Jones Foundation, in 1990.
Then she travelled to Sierra Leone which she instantly loved, as she saw her family's features and there was such acceptance of her and ten years ago started the Marc Bolan School of Music and Film. Now this year when she went she has 5 college graduates who came to the school when they were ten years of age.
The importance of women helping each other
' We have to encourage each other as women, it's very important, especially in America right now women are really coming together, in sisterhood and at one time it wasn't like that it was like I have to get my own, I hope that the Evolution of Finance Event will go around the world. Financially, women didn't know that we had this power, to acquire money and to build wealth.

Alongside a slideshow of images of the pair, Pip wrote emotionally: 'Two years ago you asked me to be your girlfriend. 'It was the easiest thing in the world to say yes... No one has ever looked at me like you do'. She continued: 'Everyday you help me grow into a person who is happy, proud and excited for the future. Thank you for seeing me and loving me anyway. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Happy us day my love' she concluded. Natalie replied in the comments: 'My love, you have given me strength beyond belief... 'You have held my hand, wiped my tears and shown me that anything is possible. 'You are the most extraordinary human to friends and strangers. How lucky am I. My heart is full. I LOVE YOU. Two years and counting.' It comes after Natalie sent her fans into a frenzy after posting a loved-up picture with her partner Pip. The Aussie actress, 49, who hard launched her relationship with Pip in 2023, shared a sweet snap of the two on Instagram. However, the candid photo sparked controversy online over its various bridal elements. First off, both Natalie and Pip wore white in the picture, with the Neighbours star donning an elegant sleeveless dress in a chiffon-like material. She continued: 'Everyday you help me grow into a person who is happy, proud and excited for the future. Thank you for seeing me and loving me anyway' Natalie replied in the comments: 'My love, you have given me strength beyond belief... 'You have held my hand, wiped my tears and shown me that anything is possible' Natalie added: 'You are the most extraordinary human to friends and strangers. How lucky am I. My heart is full. I LOVE YOU. Two years and counting' She looked regal as she paired the ensemble with some impressive diamond earrings and swept her golden lock in a messy bun. Her partner decided on a white suit for the occasion, which many assumed meant wedding bells for the two. The caption didn't help when it came to fuelling marriage speculation. 'Doing this life with you my [heart],' she captioned the post, while tagging Pip. She added: 'Thanks for putting [on] the most beautiful event @thecalilehotel @zenakdor we adore you.' Fans flooded the post with love for the couple, with one writing: 'Beautiful. Wishing you all the love.' Another wrote: 'Total cuties, you two' while some questioned if the pair had wed. It came to light that the couple were, in fact, attending an event for House of K'Dor, a diamond and gemstone boutique, where they were asked to wear all white. It comes after Natalie sent her fans into a frenzy after posting a loved-up picture with her partner Pip that led to fans thinking they had wed Natalie has previously opened up about her relationship with her partner Pip. The Australian singer described her romance as 'beautiful' and said that Pip 'understands' her more than any other person who has been in her life 'They get me more than I understand myself,' she told Stellar. 'It's been the wildest time in my life and it's beautiful.' Shedding light on her experience coming out and the fear that often comes with it, Natalie said it was more of an internal battle than one she was facing with the people around her. 'What I've learnt over this time is that I think I had internalised homophobia myself, so I was terrified about what people would say and think and feel,' she told host Sarrah Le Marquand for the podcast. 'That's just ingrained in growing up in a certain time when you weren't allowed to be.' 'It doesn't mean I don't get scared sometimes but that debilitating fear has gone. And it's beautiful. 'I feel heard, I feel safe, I feel connected.' Natalie and her estranged husband Cameron McGlinchey split after 13 years of marriage in August 2023. The pair, who married in 2011, share daughter Harper, 13, and son Hendrix, 10. Natalie made her public debut with new partner Pip Loth during a low-key outing in Queensland in April 2023. Natalie then revealed she was dating a woman in a 2023 interview with Stellar magazine and later disclosed Pip's name on Instagram 10 days later. 'I'm in a beautiful relationship with a woman who makes my heart smile and makes me really happy,' she revealed to the magazine. Before finding love, Natalie and Pip worked together on the Melbourne production of Jagged Little Pill in 2021.
