Sedona Prince has gotten a lot of attention for her social media posts, drawing attention to gender equity questions at the NCAA Tournament in 2021, and her status as a lead plaintiff in a landmark antitrust lawsuit standing up for college athletes.
On Monday night, her name wasn't mentioned as the WNBA rolled through 38 selections in its 29th draft.

The only place her name was mentioned? As a potential draft pick during the draft by analysts.
Prince just finished her final year of college basketball at TCU where she helped the Horned Frogs reach the Elite Eight for the first time in school history.
She first hit the spotlight with her viral video back in the NCAA Tournament bubble in 2021.
That pointed out the stark inequities between how the NCAA treated men and women during its basketball tournaments. Her post helped prompt an NCAA-commissioned report reviewing gender equity, which led to the use of the phrase March Madness and the start of paying women's programs units for participating in the tournament. Prince started playing in 2019 at Oregon before graduating in May 2022 and transferring to TCU for the past two seasons.

She later was a lead plaintiff in a landmark antitrust lawsuit that will help get money for college athletes. Prince attended a hearing April 7 where a federal judge in Oakland, California, heard arguments for the landmark House settlement.
The 6-foot-7 center earned honorable mention AP All-America honors. But Prince was not among the 16 prospects invited to attend Monday night's draft at The Shed.
The question now is does she get invited by a WNBA team for a tryout or is playing overseas her best option. The center from Liberty Hill, Texas, averaged 17.2 points a game this season and started all 58 games played at TCU. She started 86 of 108 games played over five seasons.

Liberty-Eylau falls in state title game
ROUND ROCK, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Liberty-Eylau baseball team fell in the state title game 4-3 Thursday night against Corpus Christi London. The Leopards led 3-2 in the 5th inning but gave up a pair of runs in the top of the inning to give up the lead. Liberty-Eylau struggled at the plate, finishing the game with just two hits. The Leopards tied the game at one when Collin Evans grounded out in the 1st inning, scoring Eli Jarvis on the fielders choice. In the 2nd inning the Leopards would take the lead after a sacrifice fly that would score junior Maddax Moore. The Leopards weren't able to score a run the rest of the game, falling short of back-to-back state championships. Zach Fowler's crew would go on to finish the season with a record of 36-5. Local boxing gym hosts event honoring late teammate
ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – It's been almost a year since Argen 'Lil G' Garcia passed away in a tragic car crash. Garcia was a member of the local boxing gym Gorilla Heavy Hitters, learning the fundamentals of boxing while getting his first taste of combat sports. Child killed in Gardendale crash, several others injured To honor and commemorate his life, Garcia's parents asked Gorilla Heavy Hitters if they could hold a yearly event to celebrate their son, who was passionate about the sport. Without hesitation, Owner Iram Sanchez put the event together and called it 'Lil G Amateur Fight Night'. 'We want to hold this memorial event do it once a year. In memory of him,' says Sanchez. 'It's going to be a good event. He was full of life as soon as he walked in, and the whole room would get excited. He was just a special kid, very brave, a great fighter. He had a bright future.' For the special event, Sanchez ordered multiple custom belts that display Garcia's picture and say Lil G. Sanchez tells us every fighter who wins during the bout will receive a belt.
