Rescuers race to reach injured German Olympic champion stranded on mountain
Ms Dahlmeier, who also won the 2017 women's biathlon World Cup, was climbing Laila Peak in the Karakoram mountain range when she was struck by falling rocks.
Climbers including two Americans attempting the same ascent are trying to join the rescue operation.
Military helicopters were on stand-by but have been unable to deploy due to low visibility and ongoing bad weather and rainfall, Mr Faraq said.
Ms Dahlmeier, 31, will be brought to the city of Skardu when she is rescued, Mr Faraq said.
Local authorities launched the rescue mission on Monday after receiving a distress signal from Ms Dahlmeier's climbing partner, Marina Eva, who managed to descend to base camp with help from rescuers on Tuesday.
Ms Dahlmeier was injured at an altitude of about 18,700ft on Monday at noon local time, according to her management team in Germany. German broadcaster ZDF reported she suffered serious injuries in a rock fall.
'There is still no clarity on her condition,' Alpine Club of Pakistan Vice President Karrar Haidri told The Associated Press.
'She sustained serious injuries, but she has oxygen with her, and injured climbers have been known to survive for days.'
Ms Daimler won gold in the sprint and pursuit biathlon events at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Newcastle United have reportedly informed RB Leipzig of a deadline in terms of their interest in a possible move for striker Benjamin Sesko, who is also a target for Manchester United Newcastle United have provided a 48-hour deadline regarding their interest in Benjamin Sesko. Eddie Howe's side have identified the RB Leipzig striker as a target as the club look to add reinforcements in attack. The Magpies, who are preparing for a Champions League campaign, currently have limited options up front. First-choice striker Alexander Isak has been the subject of a rejected bid worth up to £120million from Liverpool, while the expiry of Callum Wilson 's contract leaves prospect William Osula as the club's only other recognised centre-forward. Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Brentford star Yoane Wissa, who scored 19 league goals last term. However, the club are determined not to allow their pursuit of Leipzig forward Sesko to emulate Manchester United's earlier transfer strategy. talkSPORT have reported that Newcastle have informed Leipzig of their desire for clarity in terms of Sesko's next steps by Wednesday. It is said that the club are confident of reaching an agreement with the German side. Leipzig are thought to value the 22-year-old striker at around £70million. However, the report also claimed that Newcastle feel they must have a clear idea of Sesko's intentions before the latter half of the week. Despite the club's public interest in Mbeumo, Man United had several offers turned down before the striker finally arrived at Old Trafford in a deal worth up to £71m. Newcastle wish to avoid replicating a similar scenario with Sesko. The Isak situation provides Newcastle with extra motivation to accelerate negotiations for Sesko and any other transfer targets. With Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid in the summer, this season is viewed as the one that Bradley can nail down a regular starting slot at right back though he faces stiff competition from new signing Jeremie Frimpong who has come in from Bayer Leverkusen. Before tonight, former Dungannon United Youth player Bradley had featured in all four of Liverpool's pre-season fixtures scoring in the first one against Preston North End.
