Peppa Pig's mum gives birth to baby daughter as she shares sweet name
The joyful news was shared on Good Morning Britain, where it was announced that the newborn, named Evie, was delivered at 5:34 AM. Fans of the beloved animated family have been following the pregnancy journey closely ever since Mummy Pig stunned viewers back in February, making the surprise announcement live on Good Morning Britain that she was expecting again.
Since then, the buzz has only grown louder. The excitement hit new highs last month when a spectacular gender reveal party was held at London's Battersea Power Station, leaving fans squealing with delight when it was revealed a little girl was on the way.
For those wondering where baby Evie made her grand entrance - the Peppa Pig family spared no expense. Mummy Pig welcomed her third child at the Lindo Wing in London - the same location where Kate Middleton gave birth to all three of her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Mummy Pig delivered at the ultra-exclusive maternity ward at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, where a single night starts at £5,900, with top-tier deluxe packages priced at £7,500.
Back at home, big brother George and big sister Peppa are said to be 'over the moon' and counting down the moments until they can cuddle their new sibling. As for the proud parents, Mummy and Daddy Pig shared that they're 'looking forward to lots of happy snorts and sleepless nights.'
And fans won't have to wait long to join the celebration themselves. A brand-new cinema special, Peppa Meets the Baby, lands in over 2,600 cinemas across 19 countries on May 30. The hour-long musical event will include 10 brand-new episodes, following Peppa and George as they get ready to welcome their baby sister.
Ahead of the big screen release, the gender reveal episode premiered on the Peppa Pig Tales YouTube channel on May 3, giving fans an early look at the moment that had everyone squealing with excitement.
With Evie's safe arrival, celebrations have erupted across social media as long-time fans welcome the newest member of Peppa's piggy family. One fan wrote: "Evie is such a beautiful name. Peppa and George will be so happy to have another baby sister and my children are going to love watching it even more."
"Why am I emotional over a cartoon pig giving birth. This is so sweet," someone else quipped. "Peppa and Evie!!!! That is the cutest thing ever. Love this for Mummy Pig."
Since its debut in 2004, Peppa Pig has become a global phenomenon, airing in 180 regions, translated into 40 languages, and spawning a billion-pound empire of books, toys, and theme parks.

Good Morning Britain star's future 'sealed' amid ITV's major reshuffle
Good Morning Britain star's future 'sealed' amid ITV's major reshuffle it has been claimed that a Good Morning Britain star has signed 'a short-term deal' to remain on the ITV breakfast show GMB star has reportedly signed "a short-term deal" to stay on the ITV breakfast show. (Image: ITV) Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has reportedly put pen to paper on "a short-term deal" to remain with the ITV breakfast programme. The 69-year-old television personality first became part of the show in 2021 after Piers Morgan's exit. MailOnline has reported that Madeley has committed to a "six-month contract that is to begin in September." The publication also stated that this forms part of a "temporary arrangement while ITV reviews its presenter line-up". They further revealed that main presenter Susanna Reid remains the sole anchor "guaranteed a longer-term deal", reports the Express. This development comes amid news that ITV plans a major shake-up in January 2026 aimed at cutting costs by millions, with executives reducing programmes like Lorraine to a mere 30 minutes. Richard joined Good Morning Britain in 2021 following Piers Morgan's exit (Image: ITV) A source revealed to The Sun: "Richard is one of the biggest names on the show, but even he hasn't been offered a long-term deal. He's signed for six more months and will then re-consider how the show looks. As things stand, almost every prominent face on the show is in talks. "Some are going to go in the reshuffle, so it will depend on who rates well with focus groups and how much money each of them is insisting on." Richard Madeley's representatives have been contacted for comment. This follows the earlier announcement this year that Lorraine and Loose Women have seen their regular broadcasting slots dramatically cut in a harsh decision by ITV, taking effect from January 2026. Under the revised daytime programming, Lorraine will no longer occupy its traditional hour-long 9am time slot, instead broadcasting from 9.30am to 10am on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks annually. ITV will undergo a drastic reshuffle in January 2026 (Image: ITV) Additionally, Loose Women will maintain its one-hour duration from 12.30pm, though this too will operate seasonally for 30 weeks each year. Reports from MailOnline suggest that Loose Women is preparing to eliminate its live studio audience as part of cost-cutting measures. When sought clarification regarding these programme alterations, a spokesperson responded: "While there is a proposal to not have a studio audience for Loose Women from 2026, that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll never have a studio audience again; it just won't be in the same way as it is now. "At this stage, we are still exploring new ways of working and producing the show when we move to a new studio next year." ITV Good Morning Britain presenter 'signs short-term deal with show' after budget cuts
Richard Madeley has been a regular presenter on ITV's Good Morning Britain since 2021, however, he has reportedly only been offered a "short-term deal" to stay on the show Richard Madeley, the host of Good Morning Britain, has reportedly inked "a short-term deal" to continue his stint on the ITV breakfast show. The 69-year-old first joined the programme in 2021 after Piers Morgan's exit. MailOnline reports that Madeley has agreed to a "six-month contract set to commence in September." An insider told The Sun: "Richard is one of the biggest names on the show, but even he hasn't been offered a long-term deal. Under the revamped daytime lineup, Lorraine will lose its traditional hour-long 9am slot and will be trimmed to a 30-minute programme running from 9.30am to 10am on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks annually. NBA 2K25 player spends £24,000 on microtransactions: ‘It's not worth it'
A fan has revealed how much he spent on in-game currency in NBA 2K25, as he warns others about following in his footsteps. Free-to-play games have paved the way for predatory microtransactions in a litany of titles, and while it's easy to blame companies for enabling these practices, sometimes you have to turn the mirror on ordinary players. Microtransactions are often associated with skin cosmetics in titles like Fortnite, but there are plenty in full priced games too – especially sports games like EA Sports FC 25, which still uses what are essentially loot boxes for the Ultimate Team mode. These virtual collectible cards are prevalent in other sports games like NBA 2K25, and for one player they've cost him upwards of $32,000. In a video posted on his channel, YouTuber 2KOG breaks down his transaction history in NBA 2K25 over the past year. Within 11 months from September 4, 2024 to August 5, 2025, he claims to have spent $32,831,68 (£24,384) on the basketball sim. As seen in the video, the bulk of these transactions have gone towards virtual in-game currency for MyTeam cards – NBA 2K's equivalent of Ultimate Team – along with season passes. 2KOG isn't proud of this number though, and clarifies he's in an unusual position where he can afford to spend this amount of money. 'Most of you know I have a normal 9-5 type job, I also own my own business,' he said in the clip. 'And I do make a little bit of money off of doing these YouTube videos, so my situation is probably a lot different to most people who watch and play the game.' Despite his financial position though, 2KOG warned others from investing this amount of money into a game. 'It's absolutely not worth it,' he added. 'Even if I was breaking even [through YouTube videos], that's still a lot of resources that were put into this.' Incredibly, despite spending over £24,000, he still doesn't have all the cards available in NBA 2K25 , due to the amount of duplicates he's pulled from packs. 'I should have pretty much every card in the game, and I don't,' he added. 'And all I can do is sit here and think about how much money I've wasted. This man spent $32,000 on NBA 2K25…. — Troydan (@Troydan) August 8, 2025 'I did create a [YouTube] channel but it paid me a tenth of what I spent. So there's no way anyone can tell me it was worth it.' 2KOG's financial woes have since gone viral on X. At the time of writing, 2KOG's YouTube channel dedicated to NBA 2K25, which he started a year ago, has 3,5000 subscribers. If you need another reason why spending this amount of money on NBA 2K is a waste of time, none of these purchases will carry over to the series' next instalment, NBA 2K26, which is set to come out on September 6, 2025. Instead, they'll all have to be bought again for another £24K+. Submit Stuff page here.
