Stalin also underscored the importance of explaining key welfare schemes like the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai, Pudhumai Penn, Vidiyal Payanam, breakfast scheme and Naan Mudhalvan, especially to women, students and farmers.
The Udanpirappe Vaa initiative to meet party functionaries from all parts of the state has so far been held over 12 days. During this drive, the CM interacted with over 1,000 party administrators from branch, union, city, and area levels.
Meanwhile, the Information Department released a jingle on social media introducing the Ungaludan Stalin scheme to be launched by the CM in Chidambaram on July 15.

Tamil Nadu will see through fructification of Anamalayar and Nirar-Nallar multipurpose projects for optimal utilisation of water from the west-flowing rivers of Anamalayar, Nirar, Sholayar, Parambikulam and its tributaries Peruvaripallam, Thunakadavu and the Palar and Aliyar, Chief Minister M.K. 'We are holding talks with Kerala Government for materialising the dream scheme of farmers in the Western districts,' the Chief Minister said while taking part in the government functions at Udumalpet in Tiruppur district and Pollachi in Coimbatore. At Pollachi, Mr. Stalin named the complex housing the Chief Engineer Office of Water Resources Department after C. Subramaniam, former Minister. The Chief Minister inaugurated on the occasion a two-storey building constructed at a cost of ₹4.29 crore. The ground and first floors were named after former MLAs V.K. Palanisamy Gounder and Pollachi N. Mahalingam. He also unveiled the statues of these leaders, and those of late Chief Minister Kamaraj and former Minister C. Subramaniam in the WRD complex, in honour of their efforts for conceptualisation and implementation of Parambikulam Aliyar Project (PAP) scheme. Besides, Mr. Stalin commissioned a photo gallery on the PAP scheme, and inaugurated a memorial dedicated to workers who had lost their lives during the construction of Parambikulam-Aliyar Dam in Pollachi. It was established in Aliyar Dam park at a cost of ₹ 2.83 crore. At Udumalpet, the Chief Minister inaugurated 61 projects completed at a cost of ₹949.53 crore, and laid foundation stones for 35 projects entailing expenditure of ₹182.06 crore. Mr. Stalin also extended assistance to the extent of ₹295.29 crore to 19,785 beneficiaries, under various government schemes. The Chief Minister was accompanied by State Ministers S. Muthusamy M.P. Saminathan, R. Sakkarapani, N. Kayalvizhi, MPs and MLAs, and senior government officials.

EPS frustrated by success of DMK govt's welfare projects; his defeat will begin from western TN: Stalin
M K Stalin Coimbatore: Chief minister M K Stalin said on Monday that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami was frustrated by the success of DMK govt's welfare programmes and that his defeat in the 2026 assembly election would begin from western Tamil Nadu. Stalin said EPS presumed himself to be on a par with late AIADMK leaders M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa, but the fact was his own partymen mock him, Stalin said at a welfare distribution event at Udumalpet in Tirupur district. Announcing a slew of projects for Tirupur district, Stalin said the DMK was implementing multiple development projects in western TN whereas the AIADMK had only scuttled projects that were brought by DMK in the past. Nainar Nagenthran flays DMK government for ‘stopping' distribution of free textbooks to Tamil Associations outside State
BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagendran on Monday alleged that the DMK government, citing financial crunch, had stopped a four-decade old scheme of supplying free Tamil textbooks to Tamil associations outside the State. In a post on X, he alleged that the DMK government had splurged crores on empty advertisements and now cited a lack of funds to distribute Tamil textbooks free of cost to Tamil Associations outside the State. 'Is this what the Dravidian model's commitment to Tamil looks like? Is this the focus the Dravidian model has towards Tamil Development?' he wondered. 'If the DMK government truly cares about the growth of Tamil, beyond politics, it should immediately revoke its decision and continue the free distribution of textbooks to Tamil Associations outside the State,' he said.
