Video: Sawiris criticizes unofficial promo for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Businessman Naguib Sawiris criticized an unofficial video promoting the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
The promo, generated using Artificial Intelligence, features a host of stars, including Yousra, Karim Abdel-Aziz, Mona Zaki, and Nelly Karim, in addition to the Egyptian international football superstar Mohamed Salah and Argentine legend Lionel Messi.
Sawiris commented on the video: 'When we have the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, then we don't really need Messi, right?'
The Egyptian Cabinet announced that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi approved the opening date of the Grand Egyptian Museum, set for November 1.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly earlier stated that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi approved a date for the opening of the GEM.
In response, the Prime Minister has instructed relevant ministries and authorities to prepare for the event.
Madbouly confirmed that the museum's opening is being planned as an exceptional event, adding to Egypt's history of unique national occasions.
The opening is expected to attract prominent official attendees from many countries around the world and will include a number of accompanying activities, the Prime Minister noted.
The GEM is poised to be a global cultural and tourist landmark, showcasing the greatness of Egypt's ancient civilization and attracting visitors from all corners of the globe.

Palestinian PM Arrives in Cairo to Discuss Gaza Ceasefire, Reconstruction Efforts

Nada Mustafa The media office of Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mohammad Mustafa announced his arrival in Cairo to discuss halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza. He is scheduled to meet today with Egyptian PM Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during his official visit to Egypt, where talks will focus on ending the assault on Gaza and advancing reconstruction plans for the Strip. According to the statement, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty at the Cabinet headquarters to discuss the catastrophic humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza, as well as Egypt's ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire and secure the entry of humanitarian aid into the enclave. The media office further revealed that Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty will hold a joint press conference tomorrow, Monday, at the Rafah border crossing, following an inspection of the crossing facilities and warehouses designated for humanitarian and relief aid storage for Gaza. The visit will also include a tour of the field hospital operating in the area. Both sides are expected to discuss preparations for convening an international conference on Gaza's reconstruction once the aggression ends, while updating joint plans to ensure rapid humanitarian response, economic recovery, and rebuilding efforts that would thwart any displacement schemes. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

4 Movie Endings We're Still Arguing About

Movie endings have a way of sticking with us sometimes because they feel perfect, other times because they leave us wondering what could've been. They can wrap up the story with a neat bow, leave a door open for imagination, or completely flip the narrative in the last few minutes. Egyptian cinema has given us plenty of these moments, where the final scene sparks endless debates, rewatch sessions, and 'do you remember when' conversations. From heartfelt choices to sudden twists, here are four endings that we'll always start a debate with. Which of these endings do you find yourself arguing about? Taymour w Shafiqa She became a minister, he stayed a walking red flag, and after he got hurt protecting her, she dropped her career, ambitions, and everything she worked for, just to marry him. It looks like a romantic ending, but not a realistic one. Asal Eswed A comfort film that feels like home until you remember the plot is that he wants to leave Egypt. He actually gets on the plane, only to turn back last minute. You just want to scream, 'Why did you want to leave in the first place?!' Rasayel El Bahr Aesthetically beautiful and refreshingly different until the ending. The letter's meaning? Never explained, and after everything Noura endured, Yehia ends with 'No matter what, we'll stay together.' Sweet, sure, but not the ending we expected Sana Oula Nasb A romcom we'll always love, with couples that we root for, but they're still con artists. Somehow, after all the lies are out in the open, they walk off into a happy ending. Yes, it can be heartwarming, but it's nowhere near true in real life
