Peachtree City police use ‘pursuit yeet technique' on fleeing car, caught on video
Police in Peachtree City said they used what they termed a 'pursuit yeet technique' on a car after a man fled a traffic stop on Thursday.
Police said Paul Orndorff had a 'habitual violator' revocation of his license but was driving. He also has pending felony charges from a neighboring jurisdiction.

Orndorff fled when officers tried to stop him, police said, making the forcible stop necessary.
Video shows the police vehicle colliding into the car. The car spins 360 degrees and slides against the concrete median.
The police vehicle is shown hitting the car again, and it goes over the median and into the oncoming lanes. It eventually comes to a stop in a turning lane on an intersecting road.

Police said they deployed K9 Draco when Orndorff refused to follow officers' orders. He was then arrested.
Officers said they found a firearm, methamphetamine and mushrooms in the car.
Peachtree City police said they have encountered this person before.

Orndorff fled from officers on Nov. 7, 2019, leading to a pursuit that ended with his vehicle crashing, police said.
Authorities said he was caught by K9 Ejmyr, and officers found methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Loterbaugh of Roseville, Ohio, killed in World War II, was accounted for on Sept. 20, 2024. In January of 1944, Loterbaugh joined the Army and served in Company C, 774th Tank Battalion, during World War II. In December 1944, he was a crewmember on an M4 Sherman tank. On Dec. 11, his platoon was separated from the rest of the company during a battle near Strauss. Germany in the Hürtgen Forest. By midday, the entire platoon, including Loterbaugh's tank, was reported missing in action, according to his Obituary. He was not reported as a prisoner of war, and Army personnel who searched the battlefield found no leads regarding his fate. An presumptive finding of death was issued by the War Department in December 1945. On Sept. 20, 2024, Loterbaugh was identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) using DNA and anthropological analysis and accounted for. His name is inscribed on the Walls of the Missing at the Netherlands American Cemetery, along with others still unaccounted for from World War II. A rosette will be placed next to his name now that he has been accounted for. A public visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, June 2, at Routsong Funeral Home located on E Stroop Rd in Kettering. 2 Fulton County Jail inmates die in past week in unrelated incidents
The Fulton County Sheriff's Office announced two inmates had died in the past seven days. Fulton County detainee Shon Disola, 53, experienced a medical emergency while on free time in the evening of May 17. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The sheriff's office said Disola was taken to the hospital for treatment and was pronounced dead on May 25. According to the sheriff's office, Disola was arrested on Feb. 2, 2023 by the Atlanta Police Department and was being held without bond. Separately, Benjamin Pike, 55, was found unresponsive in his cell on May 27. The Atlanta Police Department is conducting a death investigation, the sheriff's office said. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct autopsies on both men to determine exact causes of death.
