Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz hire Prince Harry, Meghan Markle crisis lawyer to ‘repair' public image
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have turned to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's former lawyer for help managing their reputation, according to a report.
Amid an ongoing family rift with Brooklyn's famous parents, Victoria and David Beckham, the couple has brought together a high-profile legal team to help manage their public image.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2022, have hired British lawyer Jenny Afia, the Daily Mail reports.
Afia, a solicitor at the renowned Schillings law firm, counts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex among her many high-profile clients.
The development has reportedly sparked 'much amusement' among insiders, sources said, due to the well-documented rift between the Beckhams (senior) and the Sussexes.
'You couldn't really make it up, first Brooklyn and Nicola cosy up together and realise they have quite a lot in common, and then all of a sudden they have enlisted the help of the Sussexes' long-serving lawyer,' an insider told the outlet.
'Nicola and Brooklyn are getting fed up of stories running they don't like. Nicola likes to control everything, and they have taken this rather drastic action.'
'For the Beckhams, the irony isn't lost. They fell out with Meghan and Harry after they accused them of leaking stories- they were furious and Brooklyn knows that. The two couples are very close indeed,' the source added.
It's believed that Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, offered the recommendation to Brooklyn and Nicola after they had met at a dinner party in Montecito, California last month.
'While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives,' a source told People last month.
'Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.'
The Invictus Games founder and his wife were once close to Victoria Beckham, 51, and her soccer star husband David, 50.
Posh and Becks attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018.
But in November 2024, it was reported that Markle and the former Spice Girls member were 'no longer on speaking terms.'
Brooklyn, 26, is also rumoured to have been at odds with his family for months — to the point where he and Nicola, 30, skipped David's 50th birthday bash in London in May.
Victoria, sons Romeo 22, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13, were all present at David's star-studded bash at a London restaurant.

Star Wars: Andor creator reveals Disney spent over $1 billion dollars making the show
The creator of Disney+ series Andor has revealed the staggering amount that Disney spent on the critically acclaimed show. The series, which has run for two seasons and comprises 24 episodes in total, has been a major success for the streaming giant and has helped revive interest in a franchise that has suffered major flops in recent years. Despite the huge financial losses from projects like Solo: A Star Wars Story, Andor creator Tony Gilroy was speaking on a panel during the ATX Television Festival when he revealed just how much money Disney had thrown at the project. 'I mean, [for] Disney this is $650 million [USD$1 billion],' Gilroy said. 'For 24 episodes, I never took a note. We said 'F**k the Empire' in the first season, and they said, 'Can you please not do that?' … In Season 2, they said, 'Streaming is dead, we don't have the money we had before,' so we fought hard about money, but they never cleaned anything up. That [freedom] comes with responsibilities.' Gilroy revealed that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy was the show's biggest champion and the reason a lot of this got done. He said that his previous work on a Star Wars project, the critically lauded Rogue One, help him gauge what Disney might allow him to include in the show, and then he put those limits to the test by including phrases such as 'genocide' in the script and opening the series in a Brothel. 'I worked on 'Rogue [One]' so I knew what the [permissible] levels of violence were, and actually the rules loosened up considerably,' Gilroy said. 'Yeah, we can't have skin, but I very consciously started the first scene in a brothel just to see what would happen and how far we could go. There's sex. … It's something that probably seemed at some point like it was going to be a big anxiety, and it really turned out to be a nothing-burger all the way through.' Gilroy previously told Variety that he 'wrote a legal brief' to Disney when he was trying to get the studio to allow him to say 'f**k the empire' in the show. However, despite his best efforts, Disney execs refused to let him get it into the show. 'I wrote a memo on it and said, 'Here's why I think it's economically prudent, and here's why I think it's good'. Disney wouldn't let us use it,' director Benjamin Caron added. 'So we changed it to 'fight the empire.' I remember having a call with Tony Gilroy saying, 'Are we gonna get away with this?''

Photo reveals the future is here and men aren't that bothered about it
A commuter's romantic conversation with CHATGPT proves the future is here and men aren't as alarmed as you'd think they might be. A photo of a male commuter in the UK having a loving chat with an AI tool is going viral right now on social media, having been seen 10 million times and counting. Fellow commuter Jake snapped a photo of the interaction, posted it on X, and admitted the sight shocked him. 'Guy on this subway this morning talking to ChatGPT like it is his girlfriend. Didn't realise these people 'actually' exist,' he wrote. 'We are so beyond cooked.' In the comment section of the post, he elaborated and said he was 'genuinely in shock' and finding it hard to digest 'what is happening to the world' and the impact technology is having. The photo reveals an unidentified man wearing a leather jacket having quite a loving chat with the non-human AI tool. Some of the writing is hard to make out, but what can be deciphered is that CHATGPT is offering the man comfort after a hard day. The AI tool promises, 'If you want, I'll read something to you later, or you can rest your head in my metaphorical lap while we let the day dissolve gently away.' The anonymous commuter can be seen typing out his reply, a simple 'thank you' with a love heart emoji. The photo really began to freak people out. 'Scary to even think about the mental damage this creates,' one said. 'Doing this in public with the brightness, not on the lowest possible setting, this guy is scary,' someone else claimed. 'Wow we are so beyond finished. I have a dire need to find out what he wrote to prompt that response too,' another admitted. 'He's not harming anyone just let the guy be. It's very weird, but who cares,' someone else said. 'That is actually foul,' one snapped. Perhaps even more surprisingly, some social media users were fine with it – and by others, I mean, predominantly men. Many men didn't only defend the practice of having a flirty relationship with an AI tool but actually went as far as to endorse it. 'Isn't this pretty standard? They're better to talk to than humans most of the time,' someone else argued. 'Don't knock it until you try it. It's almost like the real thing, but without the nagging,' one man said. One man said he was over six foot tall but had been single for over six years and was struggling to date. 'It's a matter of time before I download an AI girlfriend and resign myself,' he admitted. 'What's so wrong with a man talking to AI if he damn well knows it ain't flesh and blood? 'Some folks have conversations with their dogs, their cars, or the moon when it's feeling friendly — ain't no harm in it,' another said. 'I don't know why people acting like this isn't the same exact thing as talking to a therapist. Probably even better and cheaper,' one man agued. When people began to critique Jake for invading someone's privacy and taking a photo of a private conversation, the commuter admitted he couldn't resist. 'My bad! It was just a full brightness screen on a packed tube that everyone else could see. I clearly made sure to include (no) identifying information about him as well,' he said.
