Rishabh Pant's back-flip seems to have inspired Harry Brook as the latter was spotted cartwheeling in The Hundred.
The Indian cricket team may have left England after a successful Test series but their impact seemingly hasn't. The Shubman Gill-led side ended the 5-match tour in a 2-2 draw following a thrilling 6-wicket win in the final match at The Oval. It was the second consecutive Test series on English soil drawn by India.
One of the star performers of the series was vice-captain Rishabh Pant, who missed out on the final and decisive Test due to a foot injury but returned with 479 runs as the fourth-highest scorer for India. More than his flamboyant batting, what amused the spectators was his backflip celebration after scoring centuries.
Pant's celebration seems to have inspired Harry Brook massively as the English batter was recently spotted trying the act in The Hundred. The cartwheel performed by Brook prompted the broadcasters to talk about it on air.
'One thing that he does do quite consistently is how he works through his warm-up. It's a fairly unique one. We don't see many cricketers doing cartwheels, do we? He always looks quite proud of himself as well when he finishes it," said the Sky Sports hosts, asking former captain Eoin Morgan.
In response, Morgan stated, 'He's clearly trying to prove a point there. They might have even had a bet that you can or can't do it. You know, it's definitely a new thing. We've seen Rishabh Pant do it for his hundred in the celebration needed a full frontal flip. So maybe this is just a progression."
Brook's performance in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
Harry Brook featured in all five Tests for England in the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, scoring 481 runs in nine innings with two centuries (158, 111) and two fifties (99, 53).
He began with 99 at Headingley but made a duck in the second innings. In the second Test at Birmingham, his 158 and a 303-run stand with Jamie Smith (184*) couldn't prevent a 336-run defeat. Brook struggled in the next two Tests with scores of 11, 23, and 3.
However, he finished strongly in the final Test from July 31 to August 4, delivering solid performances in both innings.

Former Indian cricket team batter Ambati Rayudu revealed an incident where 'Captain Cool' MS Dhoni lost his patience and gave him an ultimatum. Jack Grealish Joins Everton On Loan From Manchester City In Bid To Reignite His Career
England midfielder Jack Grealish will look to reignite his career after joining Everton on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Grealish, one of the poster boys of English soccer, became the country's most expensive player after a 2021 move from Aston Villa to City for 100 million pounds (then $139 million). He was a regular pick in City's historic 2022-23 season when the team won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup. However, Grealish has fallen out of favor over the last two seasons, not even making City's squad for the recent Club World Cup, and has chosen to move to Everton for a season ahead of the 2026 World Cup in North America. 'I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton — it's massive for me, honestly,' Grealish said of a team without a major trophy since 1995. 'This is a great club, with great fans." The loan switch removes not only a high-earner from City's wage bill but also one of the many attacking midfielders built up in City's stacked squad. Grealish often had a free, roaming role when making his name at Villa, but had to be more disciplined and restricted as a left-sided forward in City manager Pep Guardiola's system of play. Everton manager David Moyes will try to get the best out of Grealish again, with the team's first match of the Premier League season at Leeds on Monday. 'So, as soon as I knew this deal was close, I had a look and No. 18 was free, so that was perfect for me and it was the only number I was going to take from that point."
