Boots to make major changes to 150 of its stores
Boots will introduce dedicated 'menopause zones' to 150 stores this summer, Retail Gazette reports. The move will see signage added to guide shoppers through a range of products designed to treat or alleviate menopause symptoms.
The menopause zones will also feature new products as well as increased customer services and expertise related to menopause. Products in the collection include hair products, sleep aids and food supplements.
Menopause is when your periods stop due to lower hormone levels.

It usually affects people between the ages of 45 and 55, but it can happen earlier.
Perimenopause is when you have symptoms of menopause but your periods have not stopped.
According the the NHS: 'Menopause and perimenopause can cause symptoms like anxiety, mood swings, brain fog, hot flushes and irregular periods. These symptoms can start years before your periods stop and carry on afterwards.'
Part of Boots' new 'zone' system will include signposting sections by symptom including 'vaginal dryness', hot flushes' and 'low energy'.
Products already in Boots' menopause collection include Dr Wolff's 'V-san' moisturizing cream, Boots' evening primrose oil capsules and Pantene's 'hair biology' mask.
There is also a hot and cold compress on sale which is aimed at alleviating discomfort from hot flushes.
The new menopause zones will feature 35 new products including from the brands Balance Activ, Luna Daily and Canesmeno.
The brand M-Club also has an existing range of products such as caffeine shampoo.
Menopause has received increased attention in the media and health reporting in recent years with many women pointing out a lack of awareness surrounding its symptoms and wider impacts.
According to the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development: "Three in five workers experiencing menopause believe it has had a negative impact on them at work.
"But only a quarter of workers, who have missed time due to menopause symptoms, have felt able to tell their employer the real reason for their absence."
Columnist Sarah Sandison wrote for the ECHO in 2023 that 'women are suffering in silence during the menopause and perimenopause'.
She said: 'Everybody needs to be educated on perimenopause and much more needs to be done to recognise any issues and difficulties caused by changing hormones in women, during this time.'

From glow-boosting skincare to mood-lifting fragrance and hydrating must-haves, this curated collection has all your holiday minis sorted. Whether you're jet-setting or stay-caying, these minis are bound to come in handy and will ensure your skin stays hydrated, glowing, and smelling like summer. All housed in a reusable see-through zip pouch, it's also incredibly practical for going through security and will keep your items safe. For starters, let's talk about the excellent value - you're getting seven premium skincare and make-up minis from brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Rituals, Laneige, Floral Street, and more for just £32. That works out to just under £4.60 per mini. There's no denying the value in this box, as the same travel-sized Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser usually retails for £19.50. The Milk Makeup Multi-Use Lip + Cheek Cream Stick retails for £22 and the Floral Street Sunflower Pop Eau de Parfum retails for a whopping £29. Now, let's get into some of my favourite items. Firstly, I'm a massive fan of the Milk Lip + Cheek Tint - it has been one of my holy grail make-up products for years. This shade is a lovely light blush that would look great on all skin tones, and I love that it's two-in-one, so you can use it on both your lips and cheeks and be ready to go. It's ideal, especially when you're on your summer holiday and prefer lighter make-up. I also wasn't expecting to like the MAC mascara as much as I do. It has a great dual-sided curved brush that captures every lash for enhanced lift, and I found it offers a buildable, clump-free finish that had instant results. Shop now The Laneige moisturiser was lightweight and fast-absorbing - two standout qualities of a great moisturiser - and I found it kept my skin well hydrated. It also paired well with the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base primer that is infused with glow-boosting vitamins and hydration heroes. Next onto scents, while the Floral Street Sunflower Pop Eau de Parfum has over 100 five-star reviews with shoppers saying it 'smells amazing' and like 'summer in a bottle', it was a tad too strong for me. It's described as a 'vibrant, sumptuous citrus blend', designed to bring to life the beauty and optimism of Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers'. Milk - Lip + Cheek In The Shade Werk Full Size (6 g) MAC - Stack Elevated Mascara Mini (8 ml) Bobbi Brown - Vitamin Enriched Face Base (15 ml) Laneige - Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser (20 ml) Floral Street - Sunflower Pop EDP (10 ml) Sol De Janeiro - Cheirosa 62 (30 ml) Rituals - The Ritual Of Karma Shimmering Body Oil (30 ml) I much preferred the extremely popular Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, which also smells like summer with warming notes of pistachio, almond, salted caramel and vanilla. Lastly, the Rituals Shimmering Body Oil refreshed my dull-looking skin with a subtle shimmer for a healthy, luminous glow. I'll definitely use it when wearing skirts or for special occasions to add a little extra radiance. Shop now Get your hands on 10 luxury skincare and body care heroes from big-name brands like No7, Liz Earle, Byoma and more, and enjoy some well-deserved TLC. Keep your skin fresh, hydrated, and protected this summer with nine super-charged skincare favourites from the likes of Inkey List, Byoma, Beauty of Joseon and more.
