Bengaluru startup employee calls CEO 'satan', alleges daily mental torture, HR harassment even after resignation
A former employee of a Bengaluru-based startup has shared a harrowing account of psychological abuse and harassment on Reddit, painting a grim picture of workplace toxicity that persisted even after his resignation.
The employee, who worked as a Junior Data Scientist, claimed he suffered seven months of relentless micromanagement and emotional abuse from the CEO, whom he referred to as 'Satan himself.' According to the post, the CEO had no technical background but constantly imposed unrealistic deadlines, changed project requirements without notice, and subjected employees to intense verbal abuse.
'He would explode in rage if he didn't understand something technical. Screaming, personal insults—daily mental torture,' the employee wrote. Despite working 12–14 hour days, including weekends, and taking just two sick days in seven months, he said his dedication was never acknowledged—only criticized.
The situation reached a breaking point during a Google Meet, a week after the employee resigned. The CEO allegedly excluded the reporting manager from the call and confronted the employee directly with aggressive questioning. The stress triggered a physical collapse mid-meeting, leading to a hospital emergency. 'My chest tightened, I couldn't breathe, and I collapsed in my chair. My mother rushed me to the hospital,' he recalled.
Even after leaving the company, he alleged that the harassment continued. The HR head reportedly downplayed his medical emergency and framed the final settlement as an act of charity. He claimed his experience letter was withheld as a 'favor' and his PF transfer was deliberately delayed, harming future job prospects.

He also described a disturbing incident where the CEO publicly berated a 21-year-old intern to tears, reinforcing his belief that the toxic culture was deeply rooted and targeted vulnerable individuals.
'I still have flashbacks. It took a severe toll on my mental health. These people weren't demanding—they were psychological abusers,' he wrote, encouraging others facing similar abuse to prioritize their mental well-being.
In closing, the employee wrote: 'To the ones who nearly broke me—karma exists. And I hope it finds you.'

Infosys-backed GalaxEye plans new satellite to meet global demand for geospatial data
ETtech (L-R) Rakshit Bhatt, Suyash Singh, Denil Chawda, Kishan Thakkar, Pranit Mehta, cofounders, GalaxEye Infosys-backed space tech startup GalaxEye said it will develop another imaging satellite given the growing demand for geospatial data globally for agriculture, mining, and defence. The new satellite will have a near 0.5 metre resolution for quality insights needed in critical sectors. The Bengaluru-based startup said its first satellite, Mission Drishti, scheduled for launch later this year from SpaceX, has a resolution of 1.25 both the satellites, GalaxEye will be using its proprietary technology by combining synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical multi-spectral imaging (MSI), aiming to provide all-weather information. The startup said the second satellite will not only deliver improved spatial resolution but also reduce revisit time to under three days, improving the responsiveness and utility of its constellation.'The world's first SyncFusion SAR-Optical satellite, originally designed in India, will now also be fully built in-house, highlighting GalaxEye's growing manufacturing and systems integration capabilities,' the startup said in a statement, adding that it will also expand its current manufacturing capabilities. IIT-Madras alumnus and CEO of the startup, Suyash Singh, said the two satellites will give a big boost to data collection and the evolving needs of defence customers. 'Our sensor stack has already been tested on over 500 aerial test flights, backed by a proprietary signal processing toolchain, the success of the POEM payload, the Drishti (1.25 m) launch, and purpose-built software to extract actionable insights,' the CEO said. Singh added that the startup will also focus on vertical integration as the clients demand more persistent eyes in the sky, expecting detailed analytics data. 'GalaxEye's vision to bring reliability and Service Level Agreements to satellite imagery—all-time, all-weather imagery—is a game changer. We've believed in their mission from the start, and with the technology now de-risked, it's time to scale,' said Vishesh Rajaram, Managing Partner at Speciale Invest, an early investor in the startup. To date, the startup has raised $22.09 million over six rounds, with Infosys owning a minority stake worth $17 crore. The firm is currently undergoing mission concept and preliminary design reviews and is strategically positioning itself to expand into high-priority international defence markets, including the United States, West Asia, and Europe.

Bengaluru land sold for ‘marriage?' Daughter now demands compensation from buyer, 19 years later
A land transaction that took place nearly two decades ago has now become the centre of a legal dispute in Bengaluru, after the daughter of the original seller sent a legal notice to the current owners, alleging the property was sold without her consent. The matter came to light after the current owner, whose father bought the plot in 2006 under BBMP jurisdiction, shared the details on Reddit. According to the post, the sale was executed directly by the seller without any Power of Attorney (POA). The buyer stated, 'There was no POA involved' and added that they have 'been paying property taxes regularly since the purchase of the property.' The Khata certificate is also reportedly in the buyer's father's name. Despite all legal paperwork being in order, the seller's daughter is now demanding compensation, claiming she was not consulted during the sale. The buyer pointed out that 'the seller's daughter was not a minor at the time of sale. In fact, according to the seller, the property was sold off to get her married.' The situation has been further complicated by the shifting stance of the seller's son. Initially, he dismissed the matter as a 'family issue' and told the buyer they were 'trying to resolve it amicably.' However, after several months, he informed the buyers that the family would be 'going through with this legally' and advised them to get a lawyer. The buyer revealed that the tone has changed again in recent days, with the seller's son now pushing for an out-of-court resolution. 'It's now, i.e. in the past few days, he is saying to settle things with her, as even they're also trying to do so and to not go ahead legally,' she wrote. She also alleged subtle intimidation, adding, 'He also indirectly threatens by saying, 'What if the judge rules in her favour? What will you do then and all such things.'' Screengrab from the viral post. Legal advice has reassured the buyer that they have a strong case and can proceed through the proper channels. However, the seller's son reportedly continues to pressure for a private settlement, allegedly citing other cases where '2-3 buyers have settled' similar disputes. The Reddit post has since gained traction, prompting a flurry of responses. One commenter wrote, 'Not a lawyer: but if you have the sale deeds from 2006 and surveys in your name, then you should be fine legally. (The same has to exist in the government records, first check if it's there).'* Another user warned against settling, suggesting that the situation could be part of a larger inheritance dispute: 'Do not settle. It seems to be a scam or shortchanging of inheritance division of assets. Daughter seems to not have received anything and is willing to be a nuisance until son shares or buyers pay extra.'
