‘Spider-Man '94' Comic Will Pick Up Right Where the Animated Series Left Off
Spider-Man: The Animated Series remains a fan favorite nearly 30 years after its conclusion—and it's not just that giant cliffhanger ending that makes people wish it would return, though that's certainly a motivating factor. While the first season of X-Men '97 did wink at the Spidey ending in its own finale last year, Marvel's current animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has its own continuity going. However, a new Marvel comic will dive right back into The Animated Series story proper, starting where it left off.
IGN reports four-issue limited series Spider-Man '94 (so named because Spider-Man: The Animated Series debuted that year on Fox Kids Network) will show that Peter's search for MJ (the real MJ, not her clone) was indeed successful—as X-Men '97 suggested with that MJ cameo—and they're both back in New York in time to face a pair of notorious, new-to-them villains.
Here's how Marvel's press release describes the story: 'After searching to the ends of the Multiverse, PETER PARKER – the AMAZING, the SPECTACULAR, the RADIOACTIVE Web-Head himself – A.K.A. SPIDER-MAN, swings back into the streets of New York City with his beloved Mary Jane WATSON in tow! But what's this? One of these villains is not like the others: Witness this universe's debut of not one, but TWO of Spider-Man's greatest villains from the comics!'
'Legendary Spider-Scribe J.M. DeMATTEIS and rising star artist JIM TOWE bring you the return you've all been waiting thirty years for! And you're never going to expect the twists and turns ahead for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Break out your action figures, and post up in front of the TV as we bring you back to the greatest era of animated super hero television in history!'
DeMatteis told IGN that 'We're treating this as the next season of the show,' staying true to the spirit of the series while also introducing new adventures and bringing fresh foes into the mix. Spider-Man '94 #1 arrives September 3. Will you be checking it out?

Jenna Bush Hager Finally Debuts 'Strange' New Bob Haircut On ‘Today': 'I Feel A Little Embarrassed'
Today viewers finally got to see Jenna Bush Hager's exciting new look after the daytime host underwent a dramatic transformation live on the show, all thanks to Leslie Bibb's hairstylist. Like many other White Lotus fans, Bush Hager was inspired by Bibb's signature bob, cut and styled by celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan. So, they had McMillan stop by the show Monday to cut Bush Hager's hair during the live broadcast. Bush Hager debuted the new look during Tuesday's (June 17) broadcast, during which she admitted she's 'feeling a little strange.' 'You know that '90s movie Single White Female where you try to copy somebody to such an extent. You made this hairstyle so famous and then I used your hairstylist to get the same haircut and I'm feeling a little strange,' she told Bibb. Much like she did during the haircut, Bibb gave Bush Hager an empowering pep talk. 'No, you don't look strange. You look sexy, and powerful, and glamorous. And I kept saying it yesterday, you're a badass! You look so great!' the actress told Bush Hager. 'It's a big deal to do that.' Bush Hager went on to admit that she's feeling 'a little embarrassed' by all of the attention she's gotten for the haircut. She even shared that there were a lot of 'fake tears' and criticisms from her children when they saw her new haircut. 'Are those real tears? Your children are monsters! They're monsters,' Bibb jokingly responded. She later asked Bush Hager if she felt 'lighter' after getting the haircut. 'I felt lighter. There's a lot of change happening and I feel a little embarrassed by the attention. And I know the people who work for me are like, 'Mother loves attention,' but I felt a little embarrassed,' the Today host admitted. Just before getting her haircut on Monday's show, Bush Hager joked that the new look will help her shed all of the changes that happened this year – including, for example, Hoda Kotb's shocking retirement and exit from Today. 'I've been through change, I'm gonna wash the Hoda right out of my hair!' she joked, before quickly adding, 'I love her and she's still my friend, but maybe it's time for a whole new look.' Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Justin Baldoni Drops Taylor Swift Extortion Claims, Blake Lively's Lawyers Respond
Justin Baldoni's legal team has dropped its subpoena against Taylor Swift, which previously claimed Blake Lively's team was trying to extort the music star. The subpoena dropping was confirmed by a spokesperson for Lively (via TheWrap), with Lively's legal team saying they were 'pleased' that Baldoni's team stopped a 'harassing' probe into Swift and Lively's relationship. 'We supported the efforts of Taylor's team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process,' the spokesperson said. 'The Baldoni and Wayfarer team have tried to put Taylor Swift, a woman who has been an inspiration for tens of millions across the globe, at the center of this case since day one,' the statement continued. 'Exploiting Taylor Swift's celebrity was the original plan in Melissa Nathan's scenario planning document, and it continues to this day. Faced with having to justify themselves in federal court, they folded. At some point they will run out of distractions from the actual claims of sexual harassment and retaliation they are facing.' In a letter filed in court last week (via THR) from Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman, Baldoni's team alleges that Michael Gottlieb, who is representing Lively, reached out to the legal firm that represents Swift, Venable. According to the letter, Gottlieb 'demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature' would be released. Freedman's letter went on to say that Swift's legal team responded to the request in at least one written message. The letter Freedman entered into court is looking to have those communications released, claiming that they prove that Lively's team is essentially trying to intimidate a witness in Baldoni and Lively's ongoing legal battle. In response to the letter, Gottlieb said that the accusations are 'categorically false,' and that the use of anonymous sources is 'cowardly' from Freedman.
