Revealed: Surprising real identity of glamorous former Miss England contestant's sporting hero grandfather

A former Miss England contestant who has gained social media fame is the granddaughter of cricketing legend Lord Ian Botham. Botham, 69, is one of the greatest players to ever represent his country with the all-rounder playing 102 Test matches and 116 ODIs. He was known for several game-changing performances with bat and ball and is a two-time Ashes winner, while England's triumph in 1981 is even dubbed as 'Botham's Ashes' in some quarters. After retiring, Botham - who also had a football career at Yeovil and Scunthorpe - moved into the media and was a pundit on Sky Sports until recent years. He received a knighthood in 2007 and a peerage in 2020. He has three children, but it is his granddaughter, Imani-Jayne, who generated traction after being crowned as Miss Yorkshire in 2021. Following her triumph, she competed for Miss England, although she was unsuccessful. At the time, she was juggling work as a model with a fashion degree at the University of Nottingham. Imani-Jayne regularly posts photos of various holidays and other activities on her social media page, with the cricketing legend's granddaughter possessing more than 7,000 followers on Instagram. And in a recent post, Imani-Jayne shared snaps from a holiday to Mallorca where she seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and scenery. In one shot, she was relaxing on the beach, while she also documented her trips to various locations on the island. The post was captioned: 'I like it here.' Imani-Jayne, who is one of Botham's eight grandchildren and is based in Yorkshire, has four brothers and she has previously joked that she gets 'spoiled a bit' as a result. Meanwhile, since his departure from Sky Sports in 2019, Botham has rarely been spotted in public. However, earlier this summer he was seen at Wimbledon and spent time in the Royal Box where he received a rapturous reception. Botham, nicknamed as 'Beefy', similarly runs his own charity, while he is currently the chairman of Durham County Cricket Club and also has a successful wine business.

The £20 M&S trousers that flatter every body shape – they have five length options and thousands of five-star ratings

FASHION fans have been rushing to pick up the 'perfect' flattering trousers as they finally get restocked. The £19.50 bestselling M&S trousers have racked up over 3,000 five-star ratings, and they come in three versatile colours. Marks & Spencer's Jersey Wide-Leg Trousers are back in stock in black, chocolate brown and navy, with five leg-length options including extra short, long and extra long. Featuring a stretchy fit and an elasticated high waist, the comfortable fashion find is perfect for office styling, and will suit every body type. Versatile enough to wear with trainers and knitwear, or dressed up with heels for formal occasions, the trousers are a capsule wardrobe staple. Racking up thousands of glowing reviews on the Marks & Spencer website, one high-street shoppers branding the £20 buy a 'wardrobe warrior'. They wrote: "I've bought three pairs of these trousers previously (black, navy, & patterned). They're my 'wardrobe warrior' trousers as they're comfortable, look good, wash well, & don't need ironing, and the price is great value for money." Another added: "The fabric is beautifully heavy and hangs really well, with tailoring that gives a great, flattering fit - all in a very stylish way. The elasticated waistband makes them easy to slip on and super comfortable to wear, they're effortless, high-quality, and chic." Finding breathable outfits that are comfortable to wear all day is challenging at the best of times, and even more so during the UK heatwave. The loose-fit design and wide-leg means they cover the leg without being too tight, and the elasticated waist is bloat-friendly. In the hot weather, the trousers could be styled with a white tank top and ballet flats for a stylish ensemble that doesn't compromise on comfort. M&S has plenty of heatwave-friendly fashion pieces available online. The retailer's £35 scallop swimsuit was branded by shoppers are 'the most flattering swimsuit ever', and the black colourway has just been restocked. New Look also stocks a summer dress that flatters the figure and hides chunky arms, which has just been slashed by 43% in the sale. Shoppers can now pick the ruched midi dress up for just £17, and it comes in black, white, green, navy and red. The hot weather is the prime-time for chafing, and fashion fans have been rushing to buy a pair of 'life-changing' £36 cooling anti-chafe shorts. Thigh Society's shorts look similar to shapewear, with a breathable fit that works to smooth out lumps and bumps. The heatwave saviour has brought in over 11,000 five-star ratings online. Marks & Spencer's Wide-Leg Trousers are an item to wear on repeat.
