End-of-terrace house looks normal from the outside but hides bizarre secret in sprawling basement – would YOU move in?

The house has nine en-suite bathrooms SECRETS BENEATH End-of-terrace house looks normal from the outside but hides bizarre secret in sprawling basement – would YOU move in? A BLACKPOOL guest house has undergone a jaw-dropping transformation and now contains a private nightclub, cinema room, and space for 24 guests. Wayne and Katie Anne Mylroie have spent nearly two years converting the modest semi-detached property into a high-spec holiday home. 7 Wayne and Katie Anne Mylroie turned the Blackpool guesthouse into a private nightclub Credit: Facebook 7 The house has a cinema room, pool table, hot tub room and private basement nightclub Credit: Facebook Just a short walk from the promenade, the couple named the property The Fun House. Announcing the launch on Facebook, the couple said: "After almost two years in the making, we're finally live and we have had our first guests." Described by the owners as "the perfect party house", the property boasts a "large sociable lounge with custom seating and pool table, a cinema room, a hot tub room and your very own exclusive private basement nightclub." Inside, the house features nine en-suite bedrooms with 15 beds, offering space for large groups looking to celebrate in style. "The Fun House has 9 bedrooms all en-suite with 15 beds that sleeps 24 guests," the post reads. One standout feature is a uniquely designed bedroom with dramatic lighting effects: "It also has the coolest kids/adult room with a light-up lightening clouded ceiling." Every inch of the property has been carefully designed and finished to an exceptionally high standard. "It has been completed to the highest standard so you would never want to leave!" the Mylroies added. With its bold interior, private nightclub and close proximity to Blackpool's attractions, The Fun House is already turning heads as one of the seaside town's most striking new holiday rentals. The couple might have their work cut out to win the locals over though who claim Airbnbs and short term lets are "ruining" the town. People living in Blackpool, Lancs, say their lives are being blighted by anti-social behaviour. They raised their concerns as tens of thousands of holiday-makers are set to flood Britain's resorts and tourist hot spots for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. In England, the short-term let sector is unregulated, except in London where there's a 90-day per year cap on letting out properties. Blackpool City Council says it's received just one complaint about short-term lets since 2019 – but the council doesn't know how many are in the area. A total of 16 planning enforcement notices have been issued in the same period. Residents of the seaside resort town, known for its traditional B&Bs, tell a different story. One resident said she has operated three hotels in Blackpool's town centre for eight years. She says the proliferation of Airbnbs and other short-term lets, where owners are not present, have brought the character of the street down – with rooms being used for parties until the early hours of the morning and even prostitution. She said: 'The ones now, there's nobody there. If somebody's booked a double room, they know the code. 'If they meet friends with a girl, they use that code, go in, use the room, and go out. 'It's like one person's booked the room, a couple who's out for the night and give the code to another couple. 'They use the room and just go out after an hour.' B&B owners Sandra Spriggs, 52, and husband John, 69, have owned the Bianca Guesthouse on Blackpool's Palatine Road for 20 years. The couple says they have heard loud stag and hen parties inside unattended AirBNBs. Sandra said: 'My friend lives next door to an AirBNB. It's bloody noisy, especially in the summer – she actually goes to her daughter's for the weekend so she hasn't got to put up with the noise.' 7 There is a hot tub room with bright green LED lighting Credit: 7 The cinema room offers up a variety of films for guests to watch Credit: 7 Katie Anne said that the house had taken the couple two years Credit: 7 The couple said it had been finished to the 'highest standard' Credit: Facebook

Tom Felton was asked about JK Rowling and immediately showed his privilege

It must be great to be Tom Felton. He's lived a fairly quiet life since the Harry Potter films wrapped up when he was 21 and he's already made his fortune. Even better, as a straight, white, male millionaire, he heaps of privilege – which means a lot of the world's troubles are unlikely to directly impact him. Last week, it was announced he would be returning to the Harry Potter franchise. While its lead actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have gone on to launch successful careers worlds away from Hogwarts, Felton will be reprising his role as Draco Malfoy in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. Of course, even if Radcliffe and Watson wanted to return to the world of Harry Potter, JK Rowling has clearly implied she will not forgive them for standing up for trans people – a tiny minority of men and women who just want to exist with the same rights as everyone else yet find their lives being made harder and harder every day due to voices like Rowling's. Felton was at the Tony Awards on Saturday night, his first red carpet since it was confirmed his career has come full circle as he reprises the role that made him a household name almost 24 years ago. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Whether you're a Potter fan or have any strong feelings about the trans community or not, Rowling's gender-critical campaigning has been inescapable. Or at least, it appeared to be – unless you're lucky enough to be Felton, who, it seems, is able to turn a blind eye. With thousands of members from all over the world, our vibrant LGBTQ+ WhatsApp channel is a hub for all the latest news and important issues that face the LGBTQ+ community. Simply click on this link, select 'Join Chat' and you're in! Don't forget to turn on notifications! When asked directly whether the controversy around JK Rowling's divisive position on the trans community had impacted his work with the franchise, Felton responded, 'I can't say it does, I'm not really that attuned to it.' He added: 'I have not seen anything bring the world together more than Potter. She's responsible for that, so I'm incredibly grateful.' He's right – very few moments or phenomena have brought the world together quite like Harry Potter did and that would have been such a wonderful legacy for Rowling to have until she caused so much division. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community and proud ally to trans people, I find Rowling's stance towards the trans community deeply hurtful – as well as dangerous. While she insists that she is not transphobic, in my view, trans lives have never felt more under threat and having such powerful voices like Rowling's constantly berating them does incalculable harm. I do accept that perhaps I have stronger feelings than others. I am a gay man whose freedom has only been realised because of the many oppressed gay people who came before me, who in the not-so distant past were demonised, ostracised. Still, there are those just like me around the world who are beaten and killed for being who they are today. I have no doubt that Felton is more 'attuned' than he's letting on, but still… The privilege to be able to dismiss matters that don't impact him, to turn a blind eye to an ongoing issue that is dominating the lives of a community, is something I will never understand or respect. I am not without my many privileges myself – I'm white, male, and middle class – but I wouldn't dream of not being 'attuned' to feminism, racism or poverty. Daniel Radcliffe described his broken relationship with Rowling as 'really sad' but affirmed that just because she wrote the story that made him a star, '[it] doesn't mean that you owe the things you truly believe to someone else for your entire life'. He's been involved with The Trevor Project, a non-profit, US organisation devoted to supporting LGBTQ+ people, since his early twenties. He could have, like Felton, taken his millions, worked intermittently and lived a comfortable life. More Trending But what world would we live in if there were no Daniel Radcliffes? If all of us were entirely self-serving, it would be a place without community, care or wonder. Whatever your stance on Rowling's trans beliefs, I honestly can't think of a more disappointing response to a question about the controversy she's caused online than Felton's. I appreciate that picking a side on any issue, particularly in this gruesome age of social media, is more intimidating than it's ever been. But to see a celebrity appear to simply dismiss an important matter out of hand is deeply unsettling, particularly from a man who is still riding on the coattails of a book that meant so much to LGBTQ+ people who felt closeted, and that championed chosen family – even if its author is arguably working against many of them now. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Radcliffe, Watson or Grint's work but I am a fan of integrity. To say you're not 'attuned' to one of the biggest discussions around human rights for years, is a sign you have none. Do you have a story you'd like to share? He is reportedly set for a recurring role in the highly anticipated show. The late actor Robert Hardy portrayed Fudge in four Harry Potter films. HBO declined to confirm Bertie's involvement, with a spokesperson saying "such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumour and speculation" as well as "we will only confirm details as we finalise deals". He would join Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout - who have been cast as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The confirmed adult cast includes John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape and Nick Frost as Hagrid. Rounding out the announced names are Luke Thallon as Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Filch. Bertie, 47, currently plays the title role in Dalgleish, based on PD James' Adam Dalgleish novels. Set in the 1970s, the premise follows recent widower DCI Dalgleish investigating complex crimes. He is a two-time Olivier Award winner for his performance as Ms Trunchbull in Matilda: The Musical and Rupert Murdoch in Ink, respectively. Harry Potter fans spot glaring mistake in iconic movie scene 22 years after film came out No stranger to playing politicians, Bertie recently starred as Tony Blair in The Crown. Following a supporting role in season five, he became a main cast member for the sixth and final season. The casting of the Harry Potter TV show's three young leads was officially announced last month. Showrunner/executive producer Francesca Gardiner and executive producer/director Mark Mylod said: "After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione and Ron. "The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together on-screen." They added: "We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. "It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.' 5 Bertie previously played Tony Blair in The Crown Credit: © 2021 Netflix, Inc. 5 The Harry Potter TV show's three young leads were announced last month Credit: AP How to spot a rare Harry Potter book AS JK Rowling's popularity has rocketed, so has the value of the first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. If you think you might have one, then first look to see if Bloomsbury is listed as the publisher on the title page at the bottom. The copy should be a first edition - which will be noted within the first few pages. The latest date listed in the copyright information must by 1997. It should be credited to "Joanne Rowling" and not "J.K Rowling" and carry a print line that reads " 1 0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" on the copyright page. There is a mistake on page 53 where '1 wand' appears twice in the list of school supplies Harry receives from Hogwarts, which was corrected in later print runs. For the other titles in the Harry Potter series, it is only the first hardback editions with the dust jacket that have any collectable value.
