Annabel was out shopping in her local B&M in Wallsend when she came across the toy.
But when she scanned it on the B&M app - the usual way savvy shoppers come across unmarked bargain buys - it didn't come up.
It also didn't have a price tag on it, so she decided to go up to the till to ask how much it was.
And it was at that point that she discovered it would cost her just 10 pence.
"Peppa Pig party bus at B&M scanning for 10p," she wrote alongside pictures of her new purchase on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.
"There was no tag and doesn't scan on the app - says barcode not found.
"£39.99 on Amazon and Smyths!"
The party bus is a two in one playset that comes with three figures - Peppa, Danny Dog and Candy Cat - and 13 party-themed accessories.
"Imagine Peppa and friends going for a rooftop ride in the cheery red double-decker bus, then pop the bus into party playset mode to discover 3 floors of feature-filled fun," a description of the product reads online.
"What will the figures do next? How about a dance party using the twirling platforms?
Mums issue stark warning about 'dark Peppa Pig' videos going viral on YouTube set out to target and terrify your kids
"A spin on the roundabout toy? A ride down the slide? Should the balloons go on the bus, or on top of the jukebox?"
And after Annabel shared snaps of her child with their new toy, others took to the comments section to plan their next trip to B&M with friends.
"OMG!" one wrote.
"Why not in the Dundee ones?" another sighed, tagging a mate.
"Someone buy me one and stick on Vinted for me to buy for a couple of quid lol," a third commented.
"Can't find none near me!"
Peppa Pig legacy
PEPPA Pig first aired in 2004 and has since been broadcast in 180 territories and translated into 40 languages.
Now it's spawned books, toys and even two theme parks, with the global Peppa empire now worth over £1billion.
Creators Neville Astley and Mark Baker admitted they were initially worried the idea would never get off the ground, and that people at first, were bored of the idea.
Astley explained: "People in the pub would ask us, 'What are you drawing?' We'd say, 'A pig, called Peppa, it's going to be big'.
'They'd lose interest and wander off."
"Wow, as if," someone else added.
"When they don't scan on the app, that's how you know it's deffo 10p," another wrote.
"As soon as I'm back we're off out," someone else said, again tagging a friend.
"Amazing find," another smiled.

'I spent £215k tattooing my entire body and one area was most painful by far'
Remy believes there's no other human on the planet to have tattooed their body more times than him. Now he exclusively revealed what area of his body is the most painful It's quite common for people to have multiple tattoos all over their body. And for the world's most tattooed dad, it's not just one inking but more multiple designs covering layers of his skin. Remy has been hitting headlines for years and more so nowadays having spent over £215,000 ($394,000 CAD) on his unique inkings. The former chef's journey began all the way back in 2001 where he got his first facial piercing, then shortly after he got a tattoo of his son's name in custom script. And now he's unstoppable as he goes under the needle multiple times a week. He might often share his progress on Instagram (@ ephemeral__remy), where he boasts 164,000 followers, and recently mentioned the savage response to trolls who comment on his appearance. But the tattoo fan often receives a lot of praise from followers who are inspired by his tattoo journey. In the comments section of a recent post, one said: "There's no such thing as perfect in this world but you are a perfect, example of a tattoo God Remy." Speaking exclusively with Mirror, the dad-of-one shared his progress and also revealed which area of his body is the most painful to tattoo. He said: "Most painful places for me have been in the inner crotch/inside the bum checks. "Most of me is between 10-30+ layers, and I am 100% positive there is no human who has ever lived that's had more layers, hours, and sessions than I have." On top of all the sessions Remy has had, he shows no signs of stopping anytime soon as he still gets inked multiple times every week. Most people who have an obsession with ink might be scared to ink their nether regions, but for Remy, that's not the case. He added: "My genitals are tattooed multiple times, and my armpits have been tattooed 16 and 17 times, for a combined total of 33 armpit tattoo sessions over the years. "I don't find armpit painful, and have always considered them overrated in terms of pain compared to what most people would have you believe." The Canadian once worked in the kitchen as a chef and he's spent decades on his incredible transformation. He usually shares updates to his tattoos on social media, whether it's Instagram or YouTube. And on his page, he calls himself the "real world's most tattooed man". Whether he gets the odd troll on social media, Remy often ignores the noise.

Josh Johnson doesn't think TikTok will kill TV
When I log into social media these days, I can hardly go five minutes before I see a viral clip of a comedian on stage that has millions upon millions of views. The internet has disrupted so many careers in the 21st Century; it now seems we can add stand-up comic to the list. Two decades ago, a comedian's "big break" might have been getting a network TV sitcom. Today, many comics can find just as many viewers on YouTube or TikTok as they could have on television. I would have thought that modern comedians wouldn't see much value in being on TV. But last week, I had a conversation with comedian Josh Johnson that made me think otherwise. Johnson is one of the most successful comedians online today. Videos of his stand-up sets reacting to the news of the week regularly receive millions of views. But he is also a staple on Comedy Central's The Daily Show – and in the last few weeks, he was promoted to be one of the programme's co-hosts. Johnson was adamant that legacy platforms like television still carry immense value for comedians. It was a really thought-provoking discussion – I'd encourage you to watch (or read) some more of it below.
