Stalin raking up delimitation issue to cover up his failures, says Union minister L Murugan
Coimbatore: Union minister of state L Murugan on Saturday said chief minister M K Stalin was raising the issue of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies to cover up the failures of his regime.
He urged Stalin to focus on running the govt properly, instead of misleading the people.
Addressing the media at the city airport, Murugan said the DMK govt had increased the electricity tariff and property tax and was involved in the Tasmac scam. "Is the chief minister running the govt or are his young brothers running the show? The CM has made it a habit to blame the Union govt to cover up his govt's failures. A caste-wise census has already been conducted in Bihar and Telangana.
Stalin has no intention of conducting such a census in Tamil Nadu.
But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that a caste-wise census will be conducted across the country, and he is a true leader of social justice," Murugan said.
He said the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies was never discussed in parliament. The Prime Minister clearly stated that the constituencies would be restructured without harming anyone or any state, he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to hold BJP organisational meetings in Tamil Nadu on Sunday as the party works to sharpen its political outreach ahead of the Assembly elections in 2026. CHENNAI: In a three-hour long online meeting with party functionaries on Saturday, DMK president and Chief Minister MK Stalin stressed on the importance of strengthening digital outreach by appointing booth digital agents at every polling booth across the state, and called for the involvement of youth wing cadre in booth committees, as the party is aiming for a massive win in the 2026 election. Stalin convened the online meeting with district secretaries, MLAs, MPs, and the party's 234 constituency observers to discuss strategies for implementing 'Oraniyil Tamil Nadu', the membership drive announced at the general council meeting in Madurai.
