Expert picks & predictions for Wednesday's Thunder vs. Pacers game
'As someone who has a Jalen Williams ticket at +6500 odds, I am pulling for him as he is +1300 to +2000 at most markets for the NBA Finals series assist leader.
This is a five-player race with Tyrese Haliburton (-200) leading he charge at 12 assists. Behind him with 11 is Williams (+1300) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+155). With 10 assists is Andrew Nembhard (+5000) and T.J. McConnell (+7500).
The value on Williams and Nembhard is worth betting and so is McConnell after Haliburton shows signs of an injury or some pain in the post-game presser of Game 2.
If Haliburton misses anytime, then there is value on Nembhard and McConnell in this market, so I think taking anyone but Haliburton or SGA is the smart move.'

Report: Thunder to host Spurs in NBA 2025 Christmas game

After being bluntly left out of last year's Christmas Day slate, the Oklahoma City Thunder have returned to playing on the NBA's all-day slate. They will host the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, Dec. 25, per ESPN's Shams Charania. The rest of the 2025-26 regular season schedule will be released later this month. The Thunder will enter the season as a popular championship choice. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren headline the NBA champion. Meanwhile, the Spurs are viewed as an up-and-coming squad. Victor Wembanyama has made them must-watch TV despite a recent lack of success. That could change soon, though. De'Aaron Fox was recently given a contract extension to stay. They drafted Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper with back-to-back top-four picks. Of course, the Wembanyama and Holmgren rivalry always makes the Thunder and Spurs matchups must-see. Both seven-footers were viewed as modern-day centers who would change the course of their respective franchise. The rest of the 2025 Christmas slate was also announced:

Basketball Fans Loved Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull's Cowgirl Outfits

Basketball Fans Loved Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull's Cowgirl Outfits originally appeared on The Spun. Caitlin Clark may be absent from the games, but the Indiana Fever are still making waves on social media with their content. Superstars Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham made sure they stayed that way last night. Prior to yesterday's game against the Phoenix Mercury, Hull and Cunningham showed up to the game wearing matching Cowboy-themed outfits. They both wore the same cropped t-shirts and jeans. The only difference in the outfit was Hull wearing red cowgirl boots and Cunningham wearing black boots. "seeing double 👯 Lexie Hull & Sophie Cunningham walked out in matching fits for tonight's game in Phoenix 🤠," the team shared yesterday. As you might expect, fans absolutely adored the photo of the two Fever stars in their matching outfits: "Y'all just broke the internet, again," one user on X declared. "Stunning, smart, funny, and top-tier athletes. Crazy combo," wrote another. "Love this marketing. Will be watching tonight," a third wrote. "Indiana definitely giving out that fever." "Lord, did I die and go to heaven?" "I think imma Indiana Fever fan now. Just decided." "Love these two basketball stars !" "I would attend just to see them on the court!" The Game Unfortunately, the game itself wasn't quite as good as the photo. Not for the Fever at least. Phoenix beat Indiana by 35 points - the Fever's biggest blowout loss of the entire season - in a 95-60 win. The 60 points were the fewest scored by the Fever since their June 10 road loss to the Atlanta Dream and their second-fewest in any game since 2023. Indiana have done a pretty good job of staying in playoff contention in the absence of Caitlin Clark. They made it all the way to 17-12 a few days ago, marking their first time being five games over .500 in several years. But the sooner Clark gets healthy, the sooner the Fever can really be looked at as a serious contender. Indiana Fever lose guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald for the season

The Indiana Fever announced on Friday that guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald are out for the rest of the season after both were injured in a loss to the Phoenix Mercury the night before. Colson tore her ACL in the first quarter of Thursday's loss, while McDonald broke a bone in her right foot during the fourth quarter. With Caitlin Clark still injured, Indiana currently has zero healthy point guards. The Fever can sign a player to a hardship contract after Saturday's game because they have fewer than 10 available players. However, since the trade deadline has already passed, they can only sign free agents. Advertisement Indiana could pursue Jaylyn Sherrod or Zia Cooke, young guards who were recently waived. Bree Hall was in training camp with the Fever and knows the team's system, but she isn't a point guard. Grace Berger spent the first two seasons of her pro career in Indiana; she is currently on a seven-day contract with the Dallas, but the former Indiana University star would have a prime opportunity with the Fever when that expires. There is also the possibility that a veteran guard agrees to a buyout with their existing team. Lindsay Allen has been phased out of the rotation in Connecticut and would be a solid minimum signing for Indiana if she became available. Without McDonald and Colson, the Fever will presumably move Lexie Hull into the starting lineup and divvy up playmaking duties between her, Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham, or simply run more of the offense through Aliyah Boston. The defense will also take a hit without the two injured guards at the point of attack. After winning five games in a row to rise to fifth in the league standings, Indiana has lost its last two games, against Los Angeles and Phoenix. They have the fewest remaining games in the WNBA and a league-average schedule the rest of the way, but are only two games up on the Sparks for ninth place. (Photo of Aari McDonald: Sean M.
