Victoria's Secret's swimwear looks similar to designer brand with a much cheaper price
As summer approaches, many of us are fantasising about sun-drenched holidays, poolside Aperol spritzes and, naturally, a new swimsuit to go with it. If you've been coveting those chic, stretchy, crinkle-textured bikinis all over social media, you're not alone.
The crinkle trend, spearheaded by cult brand Hunza G, has hit the mainstream, boasting celebrity fans, vibrant colours, and its signature one-size-fits-all fit. However, assembling a complete summer wardrobe can quickly become costly, with prices starting at £90 for Hunza G pieces.
Fortunately, Victoria's Secret has launched a new swimsuit range that offers designer vibes without the hefty price tag. Its latest collection captures the trend's sculpting, retro-meets-contemporary appeal without the eye-watering cost.
The Dream On bikini top and matching bottoms from the brand are crafted from an ultra-stretchy textured scrunch fabric designed to flatter every body shape. Sold separately, the pair costs £101 - still significantly cheaper than Hunza G's £185 version.
Victoria's Secret also offers a one-piece in the same crinkle-style fabric for £35. Compare this to Hunza G's £175 crinkle swimsuit at Net-A-Porter, and you'll save £140 - which could be put towards your next seaside getaway, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The universally flattering crinkle style is also available as a one-shoulder bikini top in stylish green, black, and red. Two types of bottoms are on offer: high-leg briefs or high-waisted.
Of course, Victoria's Secret isn't the only brand offering more affordable crinkle swimsuits. Bravissimo offers this stunning swimming costume in four colours, including a vibrant pink, for £75.
Boohoo also boasts a variety of designs, with prices starting from £8. Our top pick is this belted scoop swimsuit in playful neon orange; it's bound to turn heads at the pool.
Returning to Victoria's Secret - there are currently no reviews of the crinkle swimsuits online, but we'll update this article if any feedback comes in. One thing to note is that the fabric may be more susceptible to snagging, so bear this in mind when purchasing.
However, if you're aiming to exude designer swimwear vibes without the hefty price tag, Victoria's Secret could make your summer packing significantly cheaper. The entire collection can be shopped here.

Welsh star opens new local skatepark in Cardiff
A new 'destination' skatepark has opened in Llanrumney, with Dirty Sanchez' Matthew Pritchard cutting the ribbon at the long awaited facility and taking the first skate. Plans for the project were first announced by Cardiff Council three years ago as part of the council's Skateboard Amenities project that will see the city filled with new skateparks across the city over the next ten years, subject to funding. Work started on the new park in December 2024 and finally opened today - Friday, June 6. The East Side park in Llanrumney, next to the Eastern Leisure Centre, has multiple obstacles including ledges, rails, hubbas, manual pads, stairs, banks as well as a quarter pipe making it both fun and challenging for those looking to learn or hone their skating skills. The local skateboard community worked with consultants, VDZ+A and Newline Skateparks, to design the 1,000m2 skatepark. Never miss a Cardiff story by signing up to our daily newsletter here It has been designed to be suitable for skaters of all ages and abilities, and is built from concrete, providing a higher quality, lower maintenance and lower noise facility than the old timber-framed skatepark it replaces. Dirty Sanchez star and Welsh skateboarder, Matt Pritchard joined skaters to open the facility. He said: "It's what we need in Cardiff. I'm 52 now, and when I first started skateboarding, we had nothing in Cardiff, so to have facilities like this is amazing. "It's really good for the kids as well, especially now that skateboarding is in the Olympics and is being taken seriously. Fair play to Cardiff Council, they've done an amazing job, and it's nice to see them investing in skateboarding in Cardiff." Cabinet member for culture, parks and events, Cllr Jennifer Burke, said: "This is the first skate park to be built as part of our new skateboard strategy and it's already proving to be a real hit with the city's skate community. "The skate scene in Cardiff is really vibrant and diverse – you've got young children and teenagers, all the way through to older skaters who are now introducing their own kids to what is now an Olympic sport. The new East Side skate park is part of our long-term strategy to support and grow the skateboard community for years to come." Here are pictures of the new skatepark in Llanrumney.

Social media users have been left in stitches SKELETON KEY My friend went to extreme measures to stop me going home from a night out and ended up in A&E – the X-ray says it all A MUM has told how her best pal swallowed her house key in a cheeky prank - then ended up in A&E. Siobhan Stanton, from Edinburgh, gobbled down friend Adele Donkin's metal door-opener to stop her leaving the pub and heading home. Medics carried out an X-ray which revealed the distinctive metal shape lodged in her large intestine. Adele, also 35, said she thought best pal Siobhan was only pulling her leg near the end of their night out in the capital She told Fabulous: "We had been out at the local pub and it was nearly the end of the night and I was standing at the pub door with my key in my hand. Oscar-winner's daughter slammed for calling her wealthy life a 'bore'
Sofia Coppola's daughter Romy Mars is 18 years old, absurdly well-connected, and, according to her new song, totally disillusioned with it all. The daughter of the Oscar-winning director and French musician Thomas Mars, and granddaughter of The Godfather legend Francis Ford Coppola, Romy has just released her debut single A-Lister. The track takes aim at the gilded cage of privilege she's been raised in, but many are divided on whether it's a salient satire or an out-of-touch cry for attention from a spoiled nepo baby. 'My world is heartless, tasteless, nameless, famous,' she sings in the chorus, her voice floating over polished production. The lyrics are blunt: red carpets are hollow, wealth is numbing, and fame is boring. 'Recreate scenes from Titanic on a flying bridge yacht / Just to feel something real,' she sighs, painting a picture of a decadent yet unhappy childhood. Romy is a fully-fledged 'nepo grandbaby,' part of a dynasty that includes cousin Nicolas Cage, aunt Talia Shire, and cousin Gia Coppola. She was scouted by Marc Jacobs at 13, sits front row at fashion weeks, and has been a fixture at galas and film festivals since before she could vote. So it's no surprise that reactions to A-Listers have been mixed. Some praised the track for its self-aware tone, calling Romy 'meta,' 'fresh,' or even 'a Gen Z Lana Del Rey with a trust fund.' One fan wrote under the music video on Youtube: 'So talented so good so fun!!! The women in this family are oh so creative and gifted and you are making your name for yourself, in your own right, with this song :) Go Romy Go!!!' Another agreed: 'I love this kind of nepo baby I'm obsessed!' But others saw it as tone-deaf. 'It's tasteless to call your multitudes of wealth that you didn't earn 'a bore,'' another YouTube comment reads. Another is blunter: 'Talentless, insufferable, overproduced nepo-baby garbage.' Adding to the buzz is the music video, directed by none other than her mother, Sofia Coppola, whose career has long explored themes of isolation, excess, and the invisible weight of being young, beautiful, and trapped. In Lost in Translation, it was Scarlett Johansson's disaffected newlywed. In The Bling Ring, it was teens robbing celebrities to get closer to fame. In A-Listers, it's her own daughter, lip-syncing in designer clothes, escaping to West Coast mansions and party scenes with a blank stare and heavy lashes. The irony is built in, and maybe (hopefully) intentional. It's not the first time Romy has gone viral for poking at the absurdity of her own life. In 2023, she caused an internet frenzy with a now-deleted TikTok video in which she tried to cook pasta while explaining she was grounded for attempting to charter a helicopter on her dad's credit card to visit a friend in Maryland. The clip earned millions of views. 'They don't want me to be a nepotism kid,' she said, referring to her parents' social media ban. More Trending Sofia later told The Hollywood Reporter she was none too pleased by the moment. 'She's funny,' she allowed. 'But people discussing my parenting publicly is not what I would've hoped for.' Still, for all the pushback, there's something undeniably compelling about Romy Mars. Like many young artists raised in rarefied air, she's testing how much of that identity she can claim, subvert, or escape from. Is she self-aware? Spoiled? Satirical? All three? Or just 18, trying to process a life most people couldn't dream of, and probably shouldn't envy? Got a story?
