
1 person in hospital after being pulled from Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto
A male has been taken to the hospital after being rescued from Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto on Sunday evening.
The incident happened near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Stadium Road, just west of Bathurst Street.
Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 7:30 p.m. for reports of a person in the water.
Officers from the Marine Unit along with members of Toronto fire pulled a male from the water, police said.

Carleton Place, Ont. man dies in motorcycle crash in Lanark Highlands
Ontario Provincial Police say a 66-year-old Carleton Place man has died in a motorcycle crash in the Lanark Highlands. Officers were called to a section of Pine Grove Road between Concession Road 8A and Giles Road at around 4 p.m. Thursday, where the man and his motorcycle were found. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP says the investigation remains ongoing.
