Joe Biden, 82, seen in public as he marks 10th anniversary of son Beau's tragic death amid cancer battle
Joe and Jill Biden attended mass in Wilmington, Del., on Friday to mark the 15th anniversary of the death of their son Beau. The former first couple were seen at St. Joseph on the Brandywine, the Catholic Church were Beau is buried. The public sighting comes as the former president battles prostate cancer and the former first lady is facing calls to testify about her role in an alleged coverup of Joe Biden 's health while he was in office. Beau Biden died of glioblastoma, a very aggressive type of brain cancer, in 2015. The Bidens go to church every year on the anniversary of his death and visit his grave. Earlier this month Joe Biden announced he's been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. The cancer has metastasized and spread to his bones, a statement from his office revealed, adding that the family is deciding on treatment options. The news, along with new reporting about efforts by Biden's core team of advisors to shield him from scrutiny, has prompted a renewed focus on Biden's health while in office, as well as the role Biden loyalists played. The questions resulted from the publication of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book 'Original Sin,' which alleges a cover up of the then-president's condition. The book, however, also notes the Biden family wanted to keep Beau Biden's cancer diagnosis a secret and misled the media about his condition. 'Beau's cancer treatment also demonstrated the Biden's capacity for denial and the lengths they would go to to avoid transparency about health issues, even when the person in question is an elected official, in this case the sitting attorney general of Delaware,' the book says. Beau Biden was diagnosed in 2013 after collapsing during a family vacation. He later had surgery to remove a brain tumor. In September 2013,' Biden and Beau's team internally debated how much to disclose about Beau — the vice president's son and a state's top law enforcement officer — but ultimately said nothing,' the book said. 'In November, Beau told a local reporter he had been given a 'clean bill of health.' However, the book says Beau continued to receive treatment and even checked into hospitals under the name George Lincoln in order to shield his real identity. Joe Biden, who was then vice president, often traveled with his son to support him in his treatment but, according to Tapper and Thompson, ordered his aides to mislead the press and public about his location. Meanwhile, House Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer has requested to interview four former Biden aides and former White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor about Joe Biden's health. And, on Thursday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Jill Biden should be included in that request. 'Jill Biden was certainly complicit in that cover up,' Leavitt told said. 'Frankly, the former first lady should certainly speak up about what she saw in regards to her husband and when she saw and what she knew,' Leavitt said. She continued to pile on Jill Biden: 'She was saying everything is fine. She's still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid ... And frankly, it's insulting and she needs to answer for it.'

The BRUTAL top secret anti-aging procedure used to keep K-pop stars like Blackpink looking young
A beauty guru has revealed the secret South Korean anti-aging procedure loved by supermodels and K-pop stars like BLACKPINK. U Beauty founder Tina Chen Craig dished about her experience during a recent appearance on the Well with Arielle Lorre podcast. The skincare entrepreneur underwent an extreme form of skin-tightening acupuncture at the hands of BLACKPINK's mysterious dermatologist, who is known only as 'Dr Yoon' due to the secrecy around her methods. 'It was a Korean deep needling, it was so insane,' explained Tina, who said that most patients go under anesthesia for the painful procedure. 'It was about twenty times thicker than the traditional Chinese acupuncture needle. When she inserted it I could feel her twisting it, and then she electrified it,' she continued. 'It hurts so bad that I started crying,' she added, comparing it to 'acupuncture on steroids.' After being needled and electrified, Dr Yoon uses a 'deep, pulsating tightening machine' that she invented herself. 'That hurt the most,' said Tina. 'I felt my face melting off.' While Tina admits that she didn't see results right away, within a month of the procedure she said that her skin had started becoming noticeably tighter. 'It's over time. That's what the Asians are about, it's never a quick fix,' she explained. 'By the third month I really felt the tightening. It was crazy. I'd go back in a heartbeat.' In an interview with Into The Gloss last year, Tina said that patients are 'sworn to secrecy' when it comes to identifying Dr Yoon publicly. 'She's all about improving the texture and health of the skin and avoiding surgery,' she explained. While Tina couldn't say too much, she did reveal that Dr Yoon's mysterious machine is a combination of two other skincare devices, one being Ulthera - an ultrasound cosmetic procedure used to lift and tighten the skin. South Korea is known for having some of the strictest beauty standards in the world, and is revered for its cutting-edge plastic surgery procedures and skincare. Some of the most common physical features considered beautiful in the country include a V-line jaw, pale skin, double eyelids, a thin high nose, and a small face. According to statistics, nearly 25 percent of women aged 19 to 29 in South Korea have undergone plastic surgery. The unrealistic beauty standards in the country have since sparked backlash, particularly from feminist groups. In 2022, a popular cosmetic surgery reality series was shut down following growing criticism from the public. The show, titled Let Me In, saw people come in and plead their case to receive a plastic surgery makeover so that they could improve their lives. BLACKPINK is composed of four members: Jisoo, 30, Jennie, 29, Rosé, 28, and Lisa, 28. The quartet, who are currently the most popular girl group in the world, are set to kick off their next world tour in July. The tour will kick off in Seoul, with two shows at Goyang Stadium, before stopping in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Tokyo and more. The Pink Venom hitmakers will also perform at London's iconic Wembley Stadium on August 15, making them the first K-pop girl group to headline the legendary venue. This marks BLACKPINK's first headline tour since their record-breaking Born Pink World Tour, which ran from 2022 to 2023. It became the highest-grossing tour by a girl group and drew over 1.8 million fans to stages worldwide. Together, they have redefined global K-pop success, captivating audiences around the world with their dynamic live performances and record-breaking achievements. They also hold the title for the most-subscribed artist on YouTube, boasting over 96 million subscribers. Over the past few years, the singers have launched highly successful solo careers, releasing several debut albums, EPs and various chart-topping hits. Some of the members have also branched out into acting, with Lisa starring on HBO's The White Lotus, while Jennie starred in HBO's The Idol alongside The Weeknd.

Bath & Body Works is ready to go international after a bruising year saw its stock fall 40%
Bath & Body Works' new CEO is only 10 days into the job, but is already planning a major strategy shakeup. The home fragrance retailer reported a strong start to 2025, with net sales up 2.9% to $1.4 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Earnings per diluted share jumped 29% to $0.49, surpassing the firm's own projections. A new Disney collaboration leading to the launch of six Disney Princesses fragrances helped to boost earnings from the most recent period, Bath & Body Works said. In its statement, the company also introduced its new CEO, Daniel Heaf, who was previously Nike 's chief strategy and transformation officer and senior vice president at different departments in Burberry. Speaking about his plans for the Columbus-headquartered retailer just 10 days into the job, Heaf said the firm would be listening to customers to gather insights, using those insights to create products, sharing brand and product stories, and bringing all of that together in an integrated global marketplace. "Today, international represents about 5% of our business, but from my experience at both Nike and Burberry, I know that international growth is incremental," he told investors in the earnings call on Thursday. "It can define an era." "In the coming weeks, I'll be on the ground with our partners and customers internationally to explore how we scale effectively," Heaf said. Bath & Body Works has suffered a bruising year. Stock is down over 40% since the end of May 2024. Earlier this year, it forecast annual sales generally below predictions, citing uncertainty about President Donald Trump 's tariffs. Before that, when the company's market capitalization fell to about $6.6 billion in September, it was removed from the S&P 500, which at the time required a market cap of at least $18 billion. It was instead moved to the S&P SmallCap 600. "Bath & Body Works is no longer representative of the large-cap market space," the stock market index provider said in a statement. The beauty chain operates 1,900 stores in the US and Canada, and 524 international franchised locations. 14 new stores internationally were opened during the last quarter. 19 stores were closed, predominantly in the United States. "Our international expansion plans for 2025 remain on track with at least 30 planned net new store openings," Heaf said in the call. Eva Boratto, chief financial officer, said Bath & Body Works' guidance for this fiscal year includes the anticipated impact of tariffs and the predicted financial effects of the CEO transition. The company has maintained its guidance for 2025 of 1% to 3% growth in net sales.
