Anisimova, 23, got under Sabalenka's skin on a couple of occasions during the contest.
With the Belarusian serving at 4-6 2-3 15-0, Anisimova fired a backhand winner past her.
Before the ball had reached Sabalenka, the No13 seed loudly appeared to celebrate.
Surprisingly, umpire Damien Dumusois opted against calling Anisimova for a hindrance, much to Sabalenka's frustration.

And when Dumusois gave Anisimova a soft warning, she further stoked the fire by claiming that Sabalenka does similar "all the time".
At 2-3 in the deciding set, Anisimova again wound Sabalenka up, this time by failing to apologise following a lucky nick off the net cord.
After her agonising defeat, the beaten star was determined not to come across as bitter, following her sour grapes after losing to Coco Gauff in the recent Roland Garros final.
She began her press conference by smiling and saying: "Are you guys waiting for something? You're not going to see (a repeat of the) Roland Garros press conference, so anyone who was waiting for that, you can leave right now."

Later on in her presser, however, Sabalenka did admit that Anisimova had irritated her during the match.
The three-time Grand Slam champion said of the potential hindrance: "I was just trying to chase the ball. She was already celebrating it. I was, like, that's a bit too early. Then she kind of p***ed me off saying that, oh, "that's what she does all the time".

"I was grateful that she actually said that because I was, like, it's actually help me to keep fighting.
"I'm like, okay, now I'm going to show you the tennis. So I came back because I got really angry in that moment.
"So probably in the third set I should have remembered (my frustration), and you know, probably will help. It is what it is."
Asked about the incident, Anisimova denied celebrating.

Anisimova said: "No, I wasn't celebrating. It was just a long grunt, I guess.
"I don't really know what was the deal there, to be honest, because I didn't feel like it was that interfering.
"But yeah, I tried to not do it again. It was just such a high-stakes match. I think we were both grunting a lot out there. We have a big game, so that's the outcome of it.
"But I wasn't really sure what the issue was, but I can play it back. Maybe I was a bit interfering. I don't really know."
Anisimova will meet five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek in Saturday's final.
The Pole demolished Belinda Bencic 6-2 6-0 in the day's second semi-final.

Pubs to stay open late AGAIN tomorrow in huge boost for Brits cheering on Lionesses to victory in Euros final

It follows a last-minute win against Italy earlier this week BEER IT COMES! It means that pubs will be able to stay open until 1am, long after the game kicks off at 5pm. Earlier this year, the government announced the measure that said if either England or Wales made it into the semi-finals, pubs across the country could open late. Policing minister Dame Diana Johnson said at the time that venues "stand to benefit" from later closing times. Pub licensing hours can be relaxed for events of "exceptional national significance" with both the semi-final and final of the Euros included under this umbrella term. Tomorrow's match will take place at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland. Earlier this week, the same extension on opening times was allowed during Tuesday's semi final match with Italy. It gave Brits plenty of time to celebrate after the team beat Italy 2-1 during extra time. The British Beer and Pub Association has estimated that pub-goers will buy a million extra pints during the final, which could boost the economy by £5 million. Announcing the news, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said: "I want to wish the best of luck to (manager) Sarina Weigman and the England squad, who we hope will bring it home once again and continue on as champions of Europe." Despite spending much of the match losing 1-0 to Italy on Tuesday, the Lionesses managed to secure a win in an exhilarating end to the match. During the 96th minute, 19-year-old Michelle Agyemang scored, as England went on to win during extra time. It followed their 3-2 quarter-final win against Sweden. The tense match lasted an extra 30 minutes, with the team going on to beat Sweden during the penalty shootout. Fourteen spot-kicks were taken during the tense showdown between England and Sweden. Only five of these were scored, six saved and three missed for a conversion rate of just 35.7 per cent. The Lionesses won the Euros in 2022, beating rivals Germany 2-1, and hope to do the same this year. Their 2022 victory was hailed as "inspiring" with the team bringing football home in front of a sold out Wembley Stadium. Despite the increased custom the championship could bring pubs, some landlords have said they're struggling to cope with increased costs. In addition to the increase in minimum wage, the BBPA said that English pubs are unfairly taxed compared to those in Europe.

And he will have plenty of support from the pitchside from partner Luica. She was present while Rashford took part in his Barcelona photoshoot before his unveiling at the Camp Nou. SunSport understands that the Red Devils exile asked Lucia, 26, to help him settle in Spain to allow him to focus on football. They were spotted together at the recording of his Barcelona announcement video. PR guru Lucia could be seen taking a picture of Rashford and checking his new shirt. The relationship hit a rocky patch in 2021 during the Covid pandemic as they split, but only to reconcile the next year. Barcelona announce loan signing of Man Utd forward Marcus Rashford In June 2022, Rashford proposed to Lucia with a £250,000 engagement ring after enjoying a romantic meal at Catch LA in West Hollywood, California. At the time, SunSport exclusively revealed that they broke up because the relationship had "run its course". Lucia had gone on a social media blackout but returned the following month by leaving her "social media grave". The couple stayed in contact and even had dinner in Manchester later that year. Rashford was at the time romantically linked to model and former Love Island contestant Grace Jackson, but that is believed to have ended in December 2023. A source has said that despite the fizzling of their engagement, they have continued to remain friends and have grown close again. They added: "Marcus knows that some of the best moments in his career have occurred when Lucia has been at his side. "They got together when they were very young and have had ups and downs, but a friendship has always remained. 9 "He knows that she is good for him and she is one of the few people in the world he knows has got his best interests at heart. "She is very sensible and helps keep him grounded." Meanwhile, Rashford will be the first England international to wear Barcelona colours since Gary Lineker. The former Match of the Day host played there for three years between 1986 and 1989. And he has been rewarded with the club's iconic No.14 shirt that has previously been worn by the likes of Johan Cruyff and Thierry Henry.
