Chocolate fans go wild as 'lush' new treat spotted at major UK supermarket
The new Kinder Krispy has been spotted in Tesco and shoppers are already on the hunt.
There's no denying that Kinder is one of the most popular chocolates out there. From Kinder Bueno to Happy Hippos, we all love the German confectionary brand's sweets.
Now there's a brand new kid on the block, as a new type of chocolate has just been spotted on Tesco shelves, the Kinder Krispy bars - and shoppers have already branded it "lush" as they race to get their hands on it.
Foodie account @Newfoodsuk took to its social media platforms to share the brand new treat, sending chocolate lovers wild in a post that read: "New Kinder Krispy Bars spotted at the Meal Deal section in Tesco!!"
It has been hailed as a "deliciously light yet indulgent snack", as it boasts Kinder's signature creamy milk and cocoa that has been layered with a crunchy cereal coating.
Since they are said to be available as individual 34g bars, they are ideal as a snack on-the-go, or for popping into school lunchboxes.
According to the Tesco website, the Kinder Krispy costs £1 and can be bought in the Meal Deal section, which offers shoppers a main, drink and snack all for as little as £3.60 for Clubcard members and £4 for non-members.
Numerous chocolate lovers flocked to the @Newfoodsuk's social media posts to share their enthusiasm at trying to find the new Kinder bar, as one on Instagram exclaimed: "They are lush, like a kinder egg in a bar."
Another delighted shopper said: "These are so good! Tried them a few weeks ago."
One shopper eager to try it out wrote: "These look delicious."
Meanwhile, on Facebook, one shopper said: "I'm gonna need 10 of these."
While another responded with: "Oh my life I need it."

It is worth noting that, while there doesn't seem to be any negative feedback about the new chocolate itself, a few shoppers have found that they are hard to find in stores, with one saying they may only be in "selected" Tesco stores.
They said: "Must only be selected Tesco. I haven't seen them in Scotland yet. There's very similar ones to these in Germany called Hanuta."
Meanwhile, someone else who wasn't overly enthusiastic about the snack said: "Aren't Buenos crispy enough?"
Although, one other delighted shopper added: "These look banging."

The confectionary firm confirmed that the beloved treat would be making a comeback to UK shelves from June 16, 2025 in both single and sharing formats, although the price has yet to be confirmed.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi enjoyed incredible tennis careers and have dominated the sport of pickleball in recent years while now sharing the secret behind their success on and off the court Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are still going strong both on and off the court (Image: Getty ) Tennis legends Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi have revealed the golden rule they follow to make their marriage work. The couple are widely considered to be among the greatest tennis players the sport has ever seen. Graf's career from 1982 to 1999 saw her win a whopping 22 Grand Slams, being the only player ever to clinch each of the majors at least four times. In 2001, the German married men's tennis icon Agassi, who himself won eight Grand Slams with his scintillating play between 1986 and 2006. The couple have gone on to have two children, 23-year-old son Jaden Gil Agassi and 21-year-old daughter Jaz Elle. Now, a quarter of a century into their marriage, a key part of Agassi and Graf's relationship is the increasingly popular sport of pickleball. The two 55-year-olds began playing pickleball with their kids during the Covid-19 lockdowns in the spring of 2020 and have been hooked ever since. Graf admitted that the sport, which is similar to tennis but is played on a doubles badminton court, 'filled a huge' tennis-shaped gap in their lives post-retirement. And she revealed the one key reason that they have been able to sustain their marriage while competing. She said in an interview with BILD: 'We don't play against each other. We prefer to be on the same side of the court.' Agassi added: 'We like that pickleball is a community-oriented sport. People who play pickleball also improve quickly.' He went on to say: 'We really want to spread the game. When we're not traveling, we practice a lot of pickleball. Since we both play, it's fun to do it together.' On Saturday, April 12, Agassi hosted the first-ever Agassi Open Play Day at Life Time Green Valley to mark National Pickleball Month. The event was also mirrored at more than 100 Life Time athletic clubs around the United States at the same time. Earlier this year, Agassi and Graf defended their Pickleball Slam crown by winning the title for a third successive time. Article continues below When Agassi and Graf aren't playing pickleball, they enjoy spending time with their kids and their respective partners, even going on triple dates. Agassi said: 'We had a great date night the other night where it was me, Steffi, my son and Catherine, his girlfriend, and Jaz, our daughter, and her boyfriend Parker, and it was like a triple date and we all just went out and sat and talked. 'We feel like peers around them, we respect them, we seek their opinion on things, they're not hesitant to ask us our perspective on what they're going through, so it really feels like a healthy season in life.'

Record numbers turn out for Aberdeen's Kiltwalk
A record breaking 6,000 people strode out on two routes to Duthie Park in the city, raising more than £1.2 million in donations for 500 charities. The streets of Aberdeen turned tartan today as thousands took part in this year's Kiltwalk. A record breaking 6,000 people strode out on two routes to Duthie Park in the city, raising more than £1.2 million in donations for 500 charities. The majority set off from Bellfield Park in Banchory at 9am on Super Sunday for the 18-mile Mighty Stride while 1,300 Wee Wanderers set off from Cults Academy to make the four-mile trek to the beauty spot, winding their way alongside the River Dee. Since it was set up by Sir Tom Hunter 10 years ago, Kiltwalk has raised £54 million. Kiltwalk CEO Paul Cooney, said: 'It's incredible that 517 charities here in the North East of Scotland will benefit from today's efforts. Charities of all sizes; the biggest with 325 supporters to countless smaller charities - each with one or two walkers. Every penny, every pound raised plus Gift Aid goes to the causes chosen by the walkers. 'Last year's Aberdeen Kiltwalk raised £1.1 million and we are set to raise even more this year. And Kiltwalk, now in its tenth year since it was rescued by The Hunter Foundation, founded by Sir Tom Hunter, has raised £54.7 million for 4,000 Scottish charities since 2016. 'Thank you for your Kiltwalk kindness.' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. All Aberdeen Kiltwalkers who registered and fundraised are in with a chance of winning a car worth £30,000 thanks to headline sponsor Arnold Clark. Russell Borrie, Chief Executive Officer of Arnold Clark, said: 'The Kiltwalk continues to make a huge difference to so many communities across Scotland, bringing people together to raise vital funds for charities close to their hearts.' The Kiltwalk also provided four lucky local charities with an additional £5,000 as part of 'the happiest minute at the Kiltwalk'. They were: SensationALL, which offers specially designed play activities, social groups and practical support for people with neurodivergent or complex conditions across northeast Scotland; Charlie House, which helps improve the quality of life for babies, children and young people in the North-east of Scotland with life-limiting conditions; Friends of ANCHOR, established to support patients and staff at Aberdeen's cancer and haematology centre and Kayleigh's Wee Stars, which provides vital financial support to families where a child has a terminal illness, helping them make precious memories during the most difficult times. This year, Kiltwalk is also supporting Sir Chris Hoy's Tour de Four charity cycling event, established by the six-time Olympic gold medallist following his diagnosis of Stage 4 prostate cancer. This means anyone who chooses to walk for Kiltwalk itself in 2025 will see everything they raise, plus eligible Gift Aid, go to five cancer charities nominated by Sir Chris Hoy. The charities are Breast Cancer Now, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Maggie's and Prostate Cancer UK. Next up is St Andrews to Dundee on Sunday, August 17, and Edinburgh on Sunday, September 14.

Romesh Ranganathan opens up about turbulent childhood as dad sent to jail for fraud
Comedian Romesh Ranganathan has opened up about his teenage years as his life was turned upside down when his father went to prison. TV presenter and comedy star Romesh Ranganathan has recently opened up about his turbulent childhood when his father was sent to prison for two years for fraud. Opening up on Radio 4's show Desert Island Disc, the comedian shared how his life was completely turned upside down due to his father's actions. At the time of the imprisonment, Romesh was a teenager living in Crawley. He recalled that he was attending a private school at the time when he, his younger brother and mother were forced to move out of their family home and into a Bed and Breakfast. He said: "My dad had fallen into financial trouble. What it turns out is that he'd lost his job and he was trying to make money in this sort of Sri Lankan Del Boy way, and it wasn't working out. "And he couldn't keep up the mortgage repayments on their house. And they couldn't afford, even with my scholarship, they still couldn't afford the fees at this school I was going to." To make matters worse, it soon became apparent that his father Ranga was having an affair, reports the Mirror. When is father disappeared for several days, Romesh recalled having to ask the "other women" where his dad was. In doing so, Romesh found out that his father had been arrested. He explained: "She tells us that my dad had been arrested three days previously, and he had been involved in some sort of fraud case. I don't know why we'd not heard, why he'd not got in touch, but this lady knew. "He ended up going to prison for two years, or just under two years. You know, I remember my dad being convicted and going to prison the day before my birthday. "I think it's my 15th birthday. And so my friends are having a party for me. I just went and pretended that wasn't going on because you want some normalcy." "Because for a while, we moved out of the house, and then a counsellor gave us a room in a bed and breakfast." Speaking to Lauren Laverne, Romesh said that he remembered his mother crying during this period of time and that she managed to get a job as a cleaner to help provide for her sons. When his father did come back home after being imprisoned, Romesh said they were able to patch up their relationship over time. The 47-year-old said: "On my dad's 60th birthday, by that time, our relationship had really kind of improved. I'd had kids at that point, and I saw the way that my dad was being with my children. "I was like, I've never seen this side of my dad, and we're in a really good place. My memory of my dad is of like a flawed tornado." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Romesh also candidly spoke about his struggles with mental health on the Radio 4 show, admitting that he had thought about taking his own life more than once and saw it as a solution to his emotional turmoil. While he admits that he has experienced serious dark periods in this life, he has now learned how to manage those times. He touches on some of his experiences through his comedy shows, but he is aware that he needs to be careful about how far he goes. He explained: "You got to be careful because it's triggering. I'm trying to destigmatise (mental health) but you do also have to be mindful of the fact that people may have been affected by that and then if I suddenly say I had thoughts about taking my own life and somebody's lost someone through that or they've had those moments themselves, you have to be sensitive to that and you don't always get it right but I think the rewards outweigh the risks."
