Sorbie was sending shocking messages to 12-year-old pupils while she worked at a school in Fife
In one message on the social media app, Sorbie, 41, told one 12-year-old girl: "Just you wait till tomorrow stupid fat wh**e"
Before threatening: "F*** you, you're gonna hurt when I see you tomorrow.
"I need to go out (sic) my daughter to bed. Try not to kill yourself while I'm gone"
All of the messages were sent over tow days between March 2 and March 9, 2023 and were horrifying in content, calling the child "Sl*gbag" and asking her: "You dead yet?".
Other shocking messages read: "Go suck a f***" and "Well that's what wh***s do so anytime you feel like it…"
Before telling the schoolgirl "Go to hell.
"Oh go ahead but I'll stay alive just to p*** you off"
The vile messages were laid bare in a hearing by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
The panel also heard Sorbie contacted another child, also aged 12, to sell vapes to her between September and October 2023.
Sorbie wrote: "What to do is all of you give all the money to one person then that person can jump in my car and I'll hand over all of the vapes and they can dish them out after I've gone.
Female teacher, 27, had 'sex with student in classroom' hours before arrest as '8-month relationship' exposed
"Don't want to be seen selling you vapes in public so gotta be subtle yk xx"
Sorbie warned the child to "keep quiet" saying: "How many. Got to be kept quiet tho I can't have folk knowing I'm selling vapes to 11 year olds lol", before adding: " Lol no worries, I trust you gals not to rat me out xx'"
The panel was told Sorbie was convicted of selling vapes to kids at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in September last year after she messaged the same child a picture of vapes saying: " 'Vapes £13 each or two for £20. 4000 puffs each. Amazing value. DM me if you want any".
The SSSC said Sorbie had shown no regret or remorse for her actions and had tried to cover up her crime by deleting messages, adding: "You provided two former pupils of the primary school where you worked with your contact details and then repeatedly contacted them both on a social media messaging application.
"This was further aggravated by the abusive and inappropriate content of the messages.
"You offered to sell nicotine vape devices to a child. "You offered to sell nicotine vape devices to a child.
"This is an abuse of the trust placed in you by your employer and the parents of the children you were entrusted to care for.
"You attempted to delete messages as the parent of one of the children was trying to save them in an attempt to conceal your wrongdoing.
"You offered no insight or apology for your behaviour."

The beauty influencer was staying at the Coco Resort & Villas Hotel with family and friends in Motul, west of Cancun, Mexico. She had been chatting with them around the cenote-style pool before they made their way to bed at around midnight. Luz was left alone before she was later seen floating lifeless in the hotel pool. The tragic athlete was retrieved from the water and emergency services were called immediately, according to NeedToKnow. Paramedics rushed to the scene but could do nothing to save the young woman's life. The area was then cordoned off by authorities as officials from the Attorney General's Office arrived to conduct a preliminary investigation. According to local reports, the bodybuilder had actually received threatening banners which were hung outside her gym in Merida. These appeared just two weeks before her death. Luz removed the signs herself and destroyed them - but never informed police of the suspicious ordeal. Missing TikToker Hannah Moody, 31, posted tragic final video before she vanished as her body is found two weeks later Similarly, in 2017, thugs threatened her and her then-partner Chiri Roberto, a former state prosecutor. In a seemingly unrelated accident in 2023, her gym was the scene of a tragic death when a barbell fell on top of a young man, allegedly due to a trainer's carelessness. But cops are now probing whether any of these deaths could be related to the passing of Luz on Sunday. The bombshell bodybuilder was the vice president of the Yucatecan Association of Bodybuilding and Fitness (AFFEY). She owned her own gym in Merida and sponsored a Bodybuilding Tournament in Motul. And she was crowned Fitness Champion at the 2017 Mister Mexico bodybuilding contest. On top of those achievements, she also won the female bikini category at the Mr Olympia Amateur competition held in Spain, and was crowned queen of the Motul Carnival in 2024. AFFEY president Evangelina Cimé Mézquita mourned the decorated athlete and model on Facebook. She said: 'Sometimes it's impossible to understand why certain things happen. 'We will miss you. Your boundless joy, your simple manner. 'May God comfort your entire family.'

Married youth worker called young girl 'chicken nugget' and rubbed her thigh
Married youth worker called young girl 'chicken nugget' and rubbed her thigh He also sent her sexually explicit messages and said he wanted 'a friend with benefits', adding that she needn't worry about having children with him 'because I've had the snip' Youth worker Francois Hanson worked for Neath Port Talbot Council youth services (Image: Copyright Unknown ) A married youth worker put his hand on a child's thigh and rubbed it during an unofficial meeting with her in his van. Francois Hanson, who worked for Neath Port Talbot Council youth team, also sent the girl, who was under 16, sexually explicit messages, a professional standards committee was told. In one he told her he needed "a friend with benefits". He also told the child she needn't worry about having children with him "because I've had the snip", the Education Workforce Council Wales panel heard. The girl, identified only as Child A, was taking exams at the time and having problems at home. She told the panel that initially she had wanted Hanson to be her youth worker but then his messages began to make her feel "uncomfortable". Hanson, who nicknamed her "chicken nugget", started being "inappropriate" just weeks after being allocated as her local authority youth worker, the hearing, held remotely on June 3, was told. Giving evidence the girl, now in her early twenties, recalled that the married man and father began to drive her home in his van alone. He would park at the top of her street where they would sit and talk for hours several times a week. It was on one of these occasions that he rubbed her thigh. She told the panel that Hanson, a youth worker with Neath Port Talbot Council since 2005, told her that he was keeping money away from his wife and children to get a house they could move into together. Article continues below He began sending her sexually explicit messages from his personal phone on the social media channel, Snapchat, sometimes as late as 1am. These messages included saying he needed someone to drink with and have fun with, asking her why she was shy, and telling her he "liked her a lot, more than I should". Sign up for our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here. The girl, now a young woman, said she had not understood at the time how inappropriate his actions and messages were. She had been suicidal at times because of problems in her life and Hanson, who she knew as "Frankie" was easy to talk to. She said he told her he was not happy in his marriage and on one occasion suggested she come to his house when his wife and children were out. Asked about when he touched her, she told the hearing that she had just told him about having suicidal feelings at the time: "He put his hand on my (mid/upper) thigh and told me "everything is going to be OK". "He rubbed up and down (on my thigh) and said 'everything is going to be alright'. I was like, OK, well I've got to go now. I remember hugging and then getting out of the van." She went on to explain: "He would message me after school and would contact me as late as 11pm or 1am over Snapchat sometimes." She said these messages made her feel "uncomfortable and embarrassed" coming from someone so much older who was meant to be safeguarding her as her youth worker. In one he told her: "I need a friend with benefit who I can drink with and have fun with...I would ask you but I don't want to scare you off or freak you out." On another occasion he messaged suggesting she come to his home because he had "a free house". Child A said she was wondering how to respond when the friend with her advised: "Absolutely not, you are not going. Stay with me. Either you tell your parents or I will." Matters came to a head when Hanson asked Child A to come to his house "for a guitar lesson" because his wife and children were out. When she told a friend, referred to as Child B in the hearing, Child B told her not to go, especially as they had an exam in the morning. The next day Child A went into school and told the school safeguarding officer about the messages from Hanson and showed her some of them. Police were called and came to the school where she made a statement. Police took her phone to try to recover the Snapchat and other messages, but Snapchat messages disappear if not saved and officers closed the case saying there was not enough evidence to secure a conviction. Hanson faces the following allegations before the EWC: That while employed as a youth worker at Neath Port Talbot Council: 1. He sent one or more inappropriate message(s) to Child A. 2. He made one or more inappropriate comments to Child A, in that he: (a) said, 'Well you wouldn't have to worry about that [having children] with me because I've had the snip'; (b) told her about problems in his marriage; and/or (c) told her that she could move in with him. 3. He put his hand on Child A's thigh. 4. His conduct at paragraph 1 and/or 2 and/or 3 was: (a) of a sexual nature; and/or (b) sexually motivated. 5. The facts of paragraphs 1 and/or 2 and/or 3 and/or 4 above constitute unacceptable professional conduct when considered (a) individually; and/or (b) together. Article continues below Hanson did not attend the hearing and was not represented and therefore the allegations were all taken as denied, panel chair Steve Powell said. The hearing continues.

Irish pro-Palestine activist detained by Israeli police in West Bank
70-year-old Máire ní Mhurchú, who is known as D Murphy, was detained by Israeli police on Saturday in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, according to the International Solidarity Movement. Living in Swansea but originally from Cork, Murphy was arrested with 48-year-old Swedish activist Susanne Björk, apparently for being in a closed military zone. Meanwhile, on Monday, Murphy reportedly refused to be put on a plane at Tel Aviv airport by police and called for a court trial instead. READ MORE: New poll shows Scots overwhelmingly back indy over Westminster direct rule The activist group she is a part of, which supports Palestinian residents in the West Bank, said Murphy is 'fighting the unjust deportation order and is facing time in jail', after being arrested, adding: 'We demand action now.' She told Nation Cymru: 'When most governments all around the world are ignoring the genocide in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank, ordinary people like me are answering the Palestinians' call to come and be a witness to these events being carried out by the Zionist Israeli entity. 'It's not about politics, it's about justice and freedom for all people.' (Image: Ahmad Gharabli / AFP via Getty Images) Her son, Dale Ryan, said meanwhile: 'As far as I can see her only crime was observing crimes against Palestinian people. D has always had a strong sense of justice and I know she could not sit at home while she knew her friends in Masafer Yatta and all of Palestine were suffering unnecessarily. 'I am very proud of my mother for sticking up for the basic human rights of her friends and trying to raise awareness of the injustices the Palestinian people are experiencing.' A spokesperson for Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said they are aware of the case and providing consular assistance. 'As with all consular cases, the department does not comment on the details of individual cases,' they added.
