Police attempted to intercept the black Ford F-250 but the driver allegedly refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed and was seen driving on the sidewalk before colliding with several other vehicles and, at times, traveling more than twice the posted speed limit. Officers gave chase and the suspect struck a pole soon after, rendering his vehicle inoperable. It's alleged the suspect attempted to carjack another motorist to flee but was immediately apprehended by officers. No serious injuries were sustained by the other motorists.
