Body found in Bangsar construction site is that of missing British man, say cops
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed that the body found at a construction site here was of missing United Kingdom national Joardan Michael John Johnson-Doyle
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed this in a statement Thursday (June 5).
"The body was visually identified by an uncle of the deceased who had confirmed the identity via tattoos on his body. This confirms the body of the man who was reported missing on June 2," he said.
He added that the cause of death was identified as "chest injury due to fall from height".
"No elements of foul play were found at the scene of the incident. The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report," he said.
Comm Rusdi also urged the public not to speculate on the matter.
UK-based Daily Mail reported that the 25-year-old was last seen in Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar at 8pm on May 27 when he sent his best friend Owen a photograph of the pub's quiz night poster.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood previously said that the police had received a report on his disappearance on June 2.

The men will enter formal pleas at a hearing in October, but the lawyers for Carpiuc and Pochynok said their clients denied involvement. Counter-terrorism police have led the investigation but none of the men have been charged with offences under terrorism laws or the new National Security Act, which was brought in to target hostile state activity. Police said the first fire involved a Toyota RAV4 car that Starmer used to own and sold to a neighbour. Days later, there was a blaze at a property where Starmer previously resided and the following day there was an attack on a house in north London that he still owns. Starmer, who has lived at his official 10 Downing Street residence in central London since becoming prime minister last July, has called the incidents 'an attack on all of us, on our democracy and the values we stand for'. Police nab two more suspects in Dataran Merdeka brawl
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two more men to assist in investigations into a recent brawl at Dataran Merdeka. City police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the suspects, aged 21 and 22, were arrested separately by the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department Anti-Vice, Secret Societies and Gambling (D7) Unit. With these latest arrests, a total of seven people have now been detained to assist in the investigation. "The first suspect was arrested at 1.40am in front of a building on Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur. "The second arrest took place at 3.15am at an apartment in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, Selangor," he said in a statement. Rusdi said initial investigations revealed that both suspects were present at the scene during the incident, and one of them had admitted to assaulting the victim. Both suspects have been remanded to facilitate further investigations. On June 3, five men were remanded for two days in connection with a viral video of a fight in Dataran Merdeka. Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said the suspects, aged between 17 and 23, were detained following an investigation under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons.

LONDON, June 6 — British Prime Minister Keir Starmer yesterday warned Israel of 'further concrete actions' over its Gaza offensive and restrictions on aid after a meeting in London with Jordan's King Abdullah II. 'The Prime Minister reiterated that if Israel did not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, the UK and its partners would take further concrete actions in response,' a spokesperson for his Downing Street office said in a statement. The two leaders discussed 'the gravity of the intolerable situation in Gaza' and 'concerning developments' in the West Bank. The statement added it was 'vital' a sustainable ceasefire be secured, as well as the release of all hostages, and called for humanitarian aid delivery 'at speed and volume'. Britain last month suspended free-trade negotiations with Israel and summoned its ambassador to the foreign ministry over Israel's conduct in the war in Gaza. Foreign Secretary David Lammy accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government of 'egregious actions and rhetoric' over its expansion of military operations in the Palestinian territory. During an impassioned speech to Britain's parliament, Lammy also said the UK government was imposing new sanctions on individuals and organisations involved in settlements in the West Bank. Lammy said Britain 'cannot stand by in the face of this new deterioration' in Gaza and was pausing negotiations with Israel on a trade agreement.
