Met host Bala in the other quarter-final.Haverfordwest County 1-3 The New Saints: The Saints secured a 26th league triumph of the campaign to end their latest title-winning season in style. Adam Wilson and Zack Clarke struck in quick succession before the hour mark against Haverfordwest, with Ryan Brobbel adding a third for the away side at Bridge Meadow Stadium. Dan Hawkins bagged a late consolation for the Bluebirds who finish the season in third and are also guaranteed a home play-off semi-final.

Callum Sainty netted either side of a Kayne McLaggon goal, the latter making his final club appearance, in a dominant first half display from the hosts at Jenner Park. Ollie Hulbert scored twice in 11 minutes late on to seal an emphatic win ahead of their play-off campaign, which sees them head to Caernarfon. Briton Ferry end the season in 10th, six points above the drop zone.Flint Town United 4-0 Newtown: Flint clinched a fourth league victory on the bounce as they beat relegated Newtown. A Rob Evans own goal along with efforts from Elliott Reeves and George Maire put the home side in complete control at the Essity Stadium. Maire scored his second in the 83rd minute as Flint ended the campaign in ninth, with Newtown - who are 11th - being relegated from the Cymru Premier for the first time in their history.Aberystwyth Town 1-1 Connah's Quay: Connah's Quay signed off a frustrating league campaign with a draw against relegated Aberystwyth. Rhys Hughes netted the opener for the visitors at Park Avenue, only for Iwan Lewis to equalise on the stroke of half time to ensure the points were shared. The Nomads - who finished eighth - turn their attention to the Welsh Cup final against TNS at Newport's Rodney Parade on 4 May while Town begin preparations for life in the second tier.

Ex-Newtown player joins backroom staff at Tottenham Hotspur
A FORMER Newtown player has joined the coaching team at English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Joe Newton has followed Thomas Frank from English top flight rivals Brentford where he served as first team analyst since 2019. Newton came through the ranks at Tranmere Rovers and had a spell at Wrexham before a season on loan at Newtown in the JD Cymru Premier in 2017. The 29-year-old started his career as the match analyst for Wales' Under-18s and held the same role at Welsh club New Saints FC before making the move to the Gtech Community Stadium six years ago. Newton is a also a graduate of Wrexham's Glyndwr University. Newton and the rest of the new Spurs backroom face a massive battle in reviving the White Hart Lane club's Premier League fortunes after last season's 17th place finish which cost Ange Postecoglou his job despite masterminding the London club's first trophy in two decades courtesy of lifting the Europa League.

Fisher and Valentine take over from Caton at Bala Town
Bala Town have appointed Steve Fisher as first-team manager, with Ryan Valentine as head joined the Cymru Premier club as a player in 2005 and was previously assistant to Colin Caton, who recently stepped down after 22 years and 880 games in Wrexham and Wales Under-21 defender Valentine joined Bala as a player in 2013 before joining the coaching said Valentine would "take charge of day-to-day coaching operations" as head coach."This is an exciting time for the club. Steve and Ryan know Bala inside out," Bala chief executive Nigel Aykroyd said."They've led by example for years and earned this opportunity. We're confident their partnership will build on our strong foundations and drive us forward." Following Caton's departure, Bala revealed they are facing cuts of up to 30% following a "hugely difficult and challenging 12 months" for the secretary Ruth Crump said the club were assessing their expenditure in full amid a major financial struggle at the Gwynedd outfit."We're looking into everything at the club in terms of our spending, facilities, training, we're looking at cuts everywhere," Crump told BBC Radio Cymru's Ar y Marc.

Awesome quartet of awards over at Connah's Quay Nomads
The club secured four prizes in the FAW National League Awards, which took place in Cardiff. In the Adran North section, Nomads' unbeaten season was recognised by three awards. Jordan Parry was named as the league's manager of the season, while there was double joy for Polly Wild-McGregor. The Connah's Quay skipper, who scored 21 goals from midfield, made it a season to remember by winning the Adran North player of the season and young player of the campaign accolades. Added to this, there was also success for the club in the men's awards. Former Wales U21 international Rhys Hughes was the standout performer for Connah's Quay Nomads over the course of the campaign and his impressive displays earned him the Cymru Premier player of the season award. Hughes joined the Nomads from Tranmere Rovers last summer and he featured in every league fixture. He scored 15 goals for Connah's Quay and Hughes also helped Nomads to reach the final of the Welsh Cup for the second consecutive season, where they were pipped 2-1 by league champions The New Saints. Former Wrexham striker Louis Lloyd, the league's joint-top goalscorer, claimed the young player of the season accolade and The New Saints' Craig Harrison was named as the manager of the season. Wrexham duo Abbie Iddenden and Lili Jones missed out on Adran Premier awards. Iddenden, who scored nine goals and supplied nine assists as the Reds finished the season in fourth place, was a nominee for player of the season, which went to Cardiff City's Shannon Evans. Midfielder Jones, who finished joint-third in the assists chart with seven, lost out to Cardiff's Fiona Barry for the young player prize. Rhys James, of Briton Ferry Llansawel, took the manager of the season nod. Iddenden and Jones were named in the league's team of the season, while a special recognition award went the way of Cheryl Foster. Earlier this year, Foster brought the curtain down on a playing and refereeing career that broke down boundaries and made history in both the Welsh domestic game and on the international stage. Now overseeing refereeing pathways with the English FA, Foster's achievements were celebrated with this award. Four Nomads players - Molly France, Wild-McGregor, Evie Chard and Ella Jones - were included in the Adran North team of the season. Also in the line-up is Flint's Taylia Chaloner. Airbus were acknowledged in the Cymru North awards, with Kaiden Cooke being named as young player of the season. The teenager scored seven goals in 28 games for the Wingmakers to establish himself as an important part of Mark Allen's side. Striker Danny Warren picked up the Cymru North top scorer award, while Colwyn Bay chief Michael Wilde claimed the manager of the season accolade and the player of the season nod went to Seagulls' captain Sam Hart. Three Airbus players - Jordan Evans, Warren and George Peers - are included in the Cymru North team of the season. They are joined by Buckley Town's Adam Smith and Holywell Town's Jamie Breese.
