Tottenham Hotspur Identify This Bournemouth Attacker As A Target: What Will He Bring To North London?
In a recent edition of Transfers From Paradise, journalist Dean Jones claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo as a target. Jones said,
'One man who could be joining him in the Saudi Pro League is Son Heung-min.

'He looks set to leave Spurs, which is no major surprise as that has been mooted for a while. One thing Spurs lose if he goes is experience that could be key for a Champions League campaign.
'At the moment, the club are pressing ahead with negotiations on a fee to take Mathys Tel on a permanent deal, but I am also starting to hear whispers that Antoine Semenyo is one of the players they could look to sign.'
Semenyo's Decent Run Of Form In The Premier League
Semenyo had an impressive season at the Vitality Stadium as he put in a string of eye-catching performances for the Cherries in the final third. The 25-year-old scored 13 goals and picked up seven assists in 42 matches for Bournemouth last season in multiple competitions.

The Ghanaian talent gave a good account of himself on the left flank based on his average of 3.51 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he only kept 32% of his attempts on target. Semenyo also needs to improve his ball distribution after making 73.4% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com).

What Will Semenyo Bring To Tottenham Hotspur?
Semenyo has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out in the wide areas. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few good chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Ghana international is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. He already knows the Premier League well and won't take much time to settle into life in North London.
Semenyo would bring more pace and goals to Tottenham's frontline. He is good enough to serve as a decent replacement for Heung-min Son, who struggled to find consistency with his performances for Spurs last season.
At 25, the best is yet to come from Semenyo, so the North London giants would do well to lure him away from Bournemouth this summer.

Advertisement The 22-year-old may have endured a couple of underwhelming campaigns at Old Trafford. However, Inter still back Hojlund to make a big impact in Serie A considering his time at Atalanta. Meanwhile, the Dane's age and wages would make him an ideal profile for Inter's transfer strategy under Oaktree Capital. Leverkusen CEO addresses Xabi Alonso future amid Real Madrid links – ‘would have been happier if…'
Real Madrid's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal midweek has undoubtedly set off a domino reaction in Spanish media with several reports of departures doing the rounds suddenly. Players including Vinicius Jr, Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez have suddenly been linked with departures after the poor showing and it is clear that the board will take drastic decision if the team fails embarrasingly in the event. Advertisement The most affected, needless to say, is Carlo Ancelotti whose future is more uncertain now than ever before. The defeat to Arsenal, however, has seen reports of his sacking and Xabi Alonso's appointment exponentially amplify. Leverkusen CEO speaks Speaking to Sky Sports earlier today, Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro acknowledged the fact that Real Madrid's poor result midweek only fuelled the rumors of Alonso's appointment and joked that he wished the situation were otherwise. 'Alonso to Madrid? I'll be honest, I would have been happier if Real Madrid had decisively defeated Arsenal and the coaching position was assured,' said Carro. Real Madrid want Alonso to replace Ancelotti. (Photo by) Elaborating on the situation of the manager, he stated that it was normal for rumours to go berserk after a poor result and thus indirectly hinted to Alonso's situation not being drastically changed by the development. Advertisement 'It is normal in football that if a club like Real Madrid loses 3-0 in the quarterfinals against Arsenal, the rumours go crazy,' he noted. 'He still has a contract with us, he feels comfortable here. First of all, we assume and we are also planning the next season with him, preparation, games, squad,' he added. Elimination from the UEFA Champions League in such embarrassing fashion would undoubtedly see Ancelotti sacked and there is little doubt that Alonso is indeed the overwhelming favourite if such a situation unfolds. At Real Madrid, however, it is clear that it is never over until it is. The dressing room strongly believe in a comeback and have spoken openly about the same throughout the week. Should they pull off a comeback and even possibly go on to win the Champions League or La Liga, the manager's future at the club may become clear once more. Needless to say, nothing can be claimed with certainty at this stage in the season.

Football transfer rumours: Arsenal target Rogers? Gyökeres and Cherki to Manchester?
Six days into the first transfer window of the summer and the Mill is churning faster than a well-oiled machine. Leading the charge are Arsenal, whose Premier League sights has led them to add Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Feyenoord's Igor Paixão to their shopping list of potential attacking targets. Getting Rogers would demand a significant fee – likely north of £50m – with the former Middlesbrough man pulling up trees for Unai Emery's this season, scoring 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 games. Paixão would be the cheaper option for the north London outfit. The 24-year-old had an outstanding season in the Netherlands, scoring 16 and adding 14 assists in 34 league matches to be named Dutch footballer of the year. Manchester United have joined the lengthy list of clubs eyeing Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting. The Swede is apparently open to a move to Old Trafford despite the club not playing Champions League football next season. Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen to link up with his former player and the pair have kept in touch since he moved to the Theatre of Dreams this season. Sporting want around £60m for Gyökeres, which is a £25m reduction from his original £85m release clause, thanks to a verbal pact he made after committing to staying for the 2024-25 campaign, where he scored 54 goals in 52 games and won the Primeira Liga title. Advertisement Related: Men's transfer window summer 2025: all deals from Europe's top five leagues Chelsea have reportedly been offered a chance to sign Mohammed Kudus from their cross-town rivals. West Ham are apparently eyeing a swap deal for the forward with hopes of goalkeeper Robert Sanchez making the switch to east London. Chelsea will make a decision on the offer before Enzo Maresca takes his squad off to the United States next week for the Club World Cup. Over in Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are supposedly monitoring Antony who has thrived at Real Betis after his loan move from Manchester United. The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag's leadership in 2022 for a fee exceeding £80m, only to provide a solid argument for why clubs should not spend £80m on a player who can only cut in on their left. But his stint in Spain has reignited interest, with the winger finding form and firing the Spanish side to the Conference League final. Leverkusen's interest is, in part, is due to the growing uncertainty surrounding the future of Florian Wirtz. Liverpool have tabled a £105m offer and although Leverkusen are holding out for £125m, the German international is likely to be Arne Slot's marquee signing of the summer. Should the deal go through, Leverkusen will need to act swiftly to fill the creative void Wirtz would leave behind. Rayan Cherki of Lyon seemed to confirm his move to Manchester City is 'getting done' after a cameo for France against Spain. The 21-year-old, who reportedly agreed personal terms with City the day before, hinted at the move shortly after Les Bleus' 5-4 Nations League semi-final loss, where he came off the bench to score and bag an assist. He told reporters: 'Yes … it's getting done. But you already know my answer, everybody knows. But there's still a game to play … After it will be done.' Real Madrid have reportedly reached a final agreement over the signing of Álvaro Carreras with Benfica, agreeing to pay the full release clause. After prolonged negotiations, it seems the full-back is returning to the Spanish capital where he spent part of his youth career. Despite Madrid's efforts to haggle, Benfica held firm on their €50m asking price. Carreras will become the third defensive reinforcement of the summer after Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and is expected to feature in their first group stage game of the Club World Cup against Al-Hilal.
