Google Pixel 10 leaked renders show all colors

GSM Arena2 days ago
Google is launching the Pixel 10 family at its upcoming event taking place on August 20, and ahead of that, today the vanilla Pixel 10 has been portrayed in some official-looking leaked renders.
These show all four colors that the phone will allegedly be offered in: Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello. Interestingly, Porcelain (Google's name for white) is gone from the Pixel 10, if these are in fact all the colors as the source of the renders implies.

Obsidian has long been the name used by Google to refer to a dark gray or black hue, Indigo is a royal blue, Frost is a very very slight blue tinge on a silver-ish base, and Limoncello is, unsurprisingly given the inspiration for its name, a yellow-green tone.
The main upgrade in the Pixel 10 compared to its predecessor from last year is the addition of a third camera, a telephoto. That said, past rumors have claimed that this will come at the expense of the other two cameras being downgraded somewhat, presumably in order to keep the pricing unchanged - or make the Pro models more attractive to buyers.
The Pixel 10's main camera will be 48 MP, the ultrawide 12 MP, and the telephoto 10.8 MP. The main sensor is reportedly identical to that of the mid-range Pixel 9a, while the telephoto is the same one used in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Like the other members of the family, the Pixel 10 will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC. Pre-orders are expected to start on August 20, with the release date being August 28.

The Pixel Watch 2 is $100 off and a perfect match for your Pixel phone

Pixel phone users, now's the time to add a Pixel Watch to your ecosystem! Which one should you get? The Pixel Watch 2 — if you're looking to save big, of course. Right now, both the Wi-Fi-only and the LTE models sell for $100 off at Amazon, giving you great value for money. $100 off (40%) The Pixel Watch 2 might not be the latest Google wearable, but it packs a punch at its current Amazon price. Right now, you can save $100 on the model with Wi-Fi connectivity, which brings it to a way more affordable price. Buy at Amazon $100 off (33%) Want LTE on your wrist? No worries! The LTE-enabled Pixel Watch 2 is also on sale, offered for $100 off its original price. The promo is available across colorways, letting you pick your favorite model without missing out. Buy at Amazon Even though Prime Day saw a slightly steeper $120 discount, this deal is still a win — especially considering how much more the new Pixel Watch 3 costs at the moment. So, don't wait up and grab the Wi-Fi option for just under $150 (down from $250), or get LTE on your wrist for less than $200. Beyond the tempting price cut, what makes this Google timepiece a good choice? Quite a bit, actually. It features a skin temperature sensor and an improved heart rate sensor to deliver more accurate health data throughout the active users, the wearable packs Heart Rate Zone Coaching and Pace Training extras. These tools help ensure you maintain an optimal pace, aligned with your fitness goals and exercise. What's more, the timepiece alerts you whenever you go out of your ideal heart rate zone. This might not sound like a big deal, but it's surprisingly useful for users who struggle to maintain a steady pace or want to avoid overexertion during training. Like most smartwatches, this fella also monitors your sleep. You can expect pretty accurate data, though you'd need a Fitbit Premium subscription to get advanced sleep metrics. If you're still on the fence, we suggest checking out our Pixel Watch 2 review for extra details on overall experience, battery life, and more. But if the watch already sounds like a good fit, now's a great time to save $100 on it. Head to Amazon and take advantage of this tempting promo before it expires.

YouTube is testing a new feature you'll either love or hate

YouTube, the world's biggest video platform with over 2.5 billion monthly users, is always cooking up new tools and experiments – especially for those who pay for Premium. One of the latest changes being tested? A revamped comment section that brings more structure to replies. Earlier this year, YouTube quietly rolled out a threaded comment UI for a small test group on Android and iOS. Now, that experiment is getting a wider rollout – but only to Premium users. With this layout, replies are grouped under the original comment, and replies to those replies are nested even further – basically, it's Reddit-style threading. So, if you are part of the test, you'll start seeing conversations in a more organized way. Comments and replies now stack clearly, making it easier to follow who's saying what without the usual chaos of guessing which comment someone was responding to. It definitely adds more clarity – although, as with any change, not everyone will be thrilled. If you are Premium user, you can try the new feature for a limited time. | Image credit – YouTube But hey, this is still an experimental feature and YouTube says it'll stick around only until August 14 unless feedback pushes it toward a permanent rollout. So, if you're a YouTube Premium user and want to weigh in on whether this system is actually helpful (or just extra noise), now's the time to do it. If you open the app, you might see a prompt to turn the feature on—just like I did. | Image by PhoneArena From personal experience, the new layout definitely adds more clarity to conversations. You don't have to play detective to figure out which reply belongs to which comment anymore, which helps avoid confusion (and sometimes arguments) in the comments section. A simple tap on the 'X replies' button under a comment shows the threaded replies in the new 'Replies' panel. | Images by PhoneArena

The Moto G Power 5G (2024) is back to its Prime Day price on Amazon

Moto G Power 5G (2024): Just under $170 at Amazon $35 off (17%) Amazon has brought back its Prime Day offer on the Moto G Power 5G (2024). Right now, the phone sells for just under $170 in both colors, though the e-commerce giant has lowered the original MSRP, so the promo might not seem as appealing as it is. Buy at Amazon Receive the latest mobile news Subscribe By subscribing you agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy Wondering which budget phone to get? The Moto G Power 5G (2024) is a great pick right now, especially since it's available for just under $170 at Amazon in both colorways. That's the same asking price we came across during Prime Day earlier this month, so it's obviously a deal that's too good to just one thing to note here: the e-commerce giant has quietly lowered the listed MSRP for both colors. While the Pale Lilac version is 17% off and the Midnight Blue is 14% off, the phone typically sells for around $300. That means you're actually saving $130 — a solid deal no matter which color you go with. The best part? Unlike Prime Day's offer, this deal is available to everyone, not just Prime Motorola phone certainly is no performance champion, but it's still a solid choice for everyday use. It offers great visuals for the price, boasting a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with smooth 120Hz refresh rates. The screen doesn't get bright enough for an effortless viewing experience outdoors, but it's good enough for convenient indoor the large display with Dolby Atmos-enhanced speakers that deliver solid audio, and you're all settled for streaming. What about performance? As we've pointed out in our Moto G Power 5G (2024) review , the handset delivers a decent overall experience, though it might stutter if you open too many apps far as camera quality goes, you can expect detailed photos with slightly warmer colors (in some settings). Night-time photography isn't a strong suit here, but at least you've got optical image stabilization (OIS) on the main 50MP in the 5,000mAh battery that should keep up with you for about 24 hours with light use, and you've got a pretty decent budget device. It might not be your primary choice at its standard price, but the Moto G Power 5G (2024) should definitely be on your radar now that it's $130 off its original ~$300 asking price. Get yours at Amazon and save.
