Sidharth Malhotra Congratulates Karan Johar For National Award For 'Rocky Aur Rani...': ‘Well-Deserved Honour'
Sidharth Malhotra congratulated Karan Johar on Instagram after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani won two National Awards, calling it a 'well-deserved honour.'
Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani won big at the National Film Awards announced this year. The movie bagged two major honours, one for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and the second for the famous song Dhindhora Baje Re, with Vaibhavi Merchant winning Best Choreography.
As the movie continues to impress more audiences, Sidharth Malhotra, the new dad in Bollywood, has heaped praises on Karan for the achievement.
Sidharth Malhotra, who debuted in the industry with Karan Johar's Student of the Year, took to his Instagram and reshared a post by the ace director, congratulating him for the achievement. He wrote, 'Congratulations @karanjohar! What a well-deserved honour."
There's no denying that soon after its release, the film became one of the most loved releases of 2023. While celebrating this victory, the cast of the film also penned heartfelt notes.
Reacting to the win, an emotional and elated Karan Johar said, 'I am ecstatic and overwhelmed to win the National Award for a film exceptionally close to my heart — Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. I am grateful to the jury and continue to be humbled by the enormous love the film continues to receive."
While sharing a post announcing his win, Karan wrote, 'It feels surreal, 2 years on… to receive so much love for a film that we put so much love in. To have everyone across the world resonate so deeply, that they choose to call the story, the music, the characters, the dance and everything — their OWN!"
'My deepest gratitude once again to the #NationalFilmAwards for having Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani receive this honour for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. And my biggest love & hugs to @vaibhavi.merchant and her team for giving us the Best Choreography for Dhindhora Baje Re! I'm a happy man today, and I will remain forever grateful for this. Fun fact — it feels magical to win the same award as you did for your first film, again," he added.
A rich, colourful love story set against a tapestry of clashing ideologies, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani stars Ranveer Singh as the flamboyant Rocky Randhawa and Alia Bhatt as the fiercely intellectual Rani Chatterjee.
