Cristiano Ronaldo leads Portugal to Nations League final with 2-1 win over Germany
Associated Press MUNICH (AP) — Cristiano Ronaldo scored again as Portugal came from behind to beat Germany 2-1 in their Nations League semifinal on Wednesday. The 40-year-old Ronaldo captained Portugal and scored his 137th international goal five minutes after substitute Francisco Conceicao equalized with a blistering shot inside the far post in the 63rd. Ronaldo became the oldest player to ever score against Germany. Liverpool target Florian Wirtz had given the home team a 48th-minute lead with a perfectly placed header inside the right post, but Portugal coach Roberto Martínez made his changes count as he brought on Conceição and Champions League winner Vitinha among the substitutes. Vitinha was playing just four days after helping Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League final against Inter Milan on Saturday. France plays Spain in Stuttgart on Thursday in the other semifinal. ___ AP soccer:

Real Madrid Make Major Decision on Pursuing €45M-Rated Man Utd, PSG Target
PSG seem to be leading the race to sign Franco Mastantuono, one of South America's brightest young prospects, ahead of the summer transfer window. The French giants have been keeping a close eye on the 16-year-old River Plate midfielder, and according to TyC Sports journalist Germán García Grova, they've already begun talks and consider him a priority target. Advertisement Manchester United, though, are reportedly the most serious contender so far. Transfer insider César Luis Merlo claims the Premier League club has scouted Mastantuono in person and is well aware of his €45 million release clause—a key detail that could shape how the competition unfolds. Will Real Madrid edge PSG for Franco Mastantuono? On Wednesday, Sky Sport's Florian Plettenberg reported that Real Madrid are now in direct talks with Mastantuono. Juni Calafat is in Buenos Aires negotiating with both the player and River Plate, and Mastantuono is open to the move. José Ángel Sánchez is pushing to get the deal done in time for the Club World Cup. Advertisement PSG, with Luis Campos leading the effort, haven't given up yet. Journalist Graeme Bailey recently shared that Man Utd is in talks with the young talent, but the player prefers a move to Madrid. Still, any transfer won't take place before 2026. 'United have spoken to his people this week,' Bailey told United in Focus. 'However, the thing with Mastantuono is that although he turns 18 in August, I have had it confirmed to me that he won't be moving until 2026. 'United are in the running, but the plan wasn't for him to move this summer anyway. Real Madrid are in the driving seat, but United are not out of the equation. Advertisement 'I don't think anyone will pay his €45m (£38m) release clause, though. But he really does want to join Madrid, however, we will have to see because there isn't really room for him at Madrid. 'But over the last 10 days, United have definitely held talks with him. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are also interested.'

French guard Nolan Traoré posts intriguing measurements at draft combine
French guard Nolan Traoré posts intriguing measurements at draft combine Projected first-round pick Nolan Traoré completed the required testing on Wednesday to become eligible for selection in the 2025 NBA draft in Treviso, Italy. Traoré was named the Champions League Best Young Player after averaging 12.2 points, 4.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 44 games with Saint-Quentin in France. He registered seven 20-point games, including a 25-point effort on May 9. The Frenchman participated in the international combine after being excused from the main event last month due to his obligation to Saint-Quentin. He reportedly measured with a 6-foot, 8-inch wingspan, according to Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report. Traoré put himself on the radar after a great offseason last year, representing France in the Nike Hoop Summit and FIBA U18 EuroBasket. He averaged 14 points, 9.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds on 42.9% shooting from 3-point range as France finished fifth in Finland. The 19-year-old is considered a possible lottery pick, given his potential to be an elite playmaker at the next level. He plays with excellent court vision, often flourishing by running offenses against high-level competition due to his instincts and passing ability. Traoré shined with Saint-Quentin as the season progressed, showing an increased comfort level shooting the ball and finishing at the rim. He'll have the opportunity to work out with teams following the combine, with three weeks to go until the draft.
