Two arrested for public morals violations in Oman
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced that two individuals, an Omani woman and a Syrian resident, have been arrested. This action was taken following the publication of several video clips by the pair, which authorities assert contravene public morals.
In an official statement, the ROP confirmed that these videos, widely circulated across social media platforms, were considered offensive and in breach of Omani laws concerning public decency. Both individuals are now in custody, and legal proceedings are currently underway.

Royal Decree establishes embassy for Oman in Romania
Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree (No. 59/2025) on establishing an embassy for the Sultanate of Oman in Romania. Article (1) states that an embassy for the Sultanate of Oman shall be established in Romania. Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Muscat -- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, dealing with bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.
