1 person rescued from water in Lower Valley, suffers serious injuries
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person was pulled from the Rio Grande on Sunday evening, June 15 in El Paso's Lower Valley and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, an El Paso Fire spokesperson said.
The incident happened a little after 6 p.m. Sunday along the river between Fonseca and Yarbrough along the Border Highway, the spokesperson said.
The patient was transported Code 3 (serious injuries), the Fire spokesperson said.

Two men injured in southwest Miami-Dade stabbing, sheriff's office says
Two people were injured in a stabbing Monday morning in southwest Miami-Dade. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said just after 10:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Brid Road and SW 112 Avenue to check out reports of a person armed with a knife. When deputies arrived, they took one man into custody, according to the sheriff's office. Two men with were taken to an area trauma center by Miami -Dade Fire Rescue. One of the men was in critical condition, the other was listed as stable. Deputies cordoned off a TD Bank parking lot with crime scene tape during the investigation. The bank was closed during this time. They also cordoned off a Miami-Dade transit bus on Bird Road at SW 107 Avenue, which the sheriff's office called a secondary scene. Missing child found in Clinton River in Harrison Township, officials say
A missing toddler was taken to the hospital after they were found in the Clinton River in Harrison Township Monday morning, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said. At around 11 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a call of a missing toddler. The toddler was last seen at his home on Manse Street in Harrison Township. The toddler was found around 11:29 a.m. in the Clinton River. Deputies performed lifesaving efforts before the toddler was taken to an area hospital, where officials say they are "undergoing life-saving efforts."
