A missing toddler was taken to the hospital after they were found in the Clinton River in Harrison Township Monday morning, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.
At around 11 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a call of a missing toddler. The toddler was last seen at his home on Manse Street in Harrison Township.
The toddler was found around 11:29 a.m. in the Clinton River. Deputies performed lifesaving efforts before the toddler was taken to an area hospital, where officials say they are "undergoing life-saving efforts."
The sheriff's office will release additional information to the public when it is available.

A regulator has opened an investigation following a police chase which ended in a horror crash. The "short pursuit" happened on June 5 and ended when a police car collided with two other vehicles which were being driven by members of the public, with one passenger critically injured. After the collision the suspected driver "made off", with a huge emergency services response descending on the scene on Drake Street in Rochdale at around 6.15pm on June 6. Now, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has opened an investigation into the crash, the organisation confirmed. In a statement shared with the Manchester Evening News, an IOPC spokesperson said: 'Following a referral from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) we started an independent investigation into the circumstances of a serious road traffic collision on Drake Street in Rochdale. 'We were notified by the force that a car collided with two other vehicles being driven by members of the public on Thursday 5 June at 6.15pm and that a police vehicle had been involved in a short pursuit prior to the incident. 'A passenger in the rear of the pursued vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital." They added: 'IOPC investigators were sent to attend the scene and the police post incident procedures to begin gathering evidence. We declared an independent investigation on Friday 5 June. 'Our thoughts are with all those affected.' In a statement released at the time of the collision, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 6.15pm today, officers approached a suspicious vehicle on Drake Street, Rochdale. "The vehicle subsequently made off from police and after a short pursuit, collided with another vehicle. "The suspected driver made off and a passenger in the vehicle sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. One person from another vehicle received minor injuries."

Suspected shooter captured in Minnesota; death investigation in Bedford Township; and more top stori Suspected shooter captured in Minnesota; death investigation in Bedford Township; and more top stori A man was killed as a result of a two-vehicle crash Sunday near Lansing, the Michigan State Police reported. The crash happened about noon at the intersection of M-50 and Mulliken Road in Eaton County's Chester Township, involving a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox and a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. Troopers from the Lansing post reported a 30-year-old woman from Mulliken was driving the Chevrolet southbound on Mulliken Road, but disregarded the stop sign and struck the Chrysler that was traveling northwest on M-50. The Chrysler driver was a 43-year-old Portland woman. Both drivers were transported to University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Hospital in Charlotte to be treated for minor injuries. But a passenger in the Chrysler, a 29-year-old man from Sunfield, was ejected from the minivan. He was taken to U-M Charlotte, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is continuing. State police ask that anyone who has information relating to the crash call the Lansing post at 517-322-1907.
