'Sinners' coming to Max. Here's when it will release
The box office success and pop culture phenomenon "Sinners" is set to make its exclusive streaming debut on Max in a couple of weeks.
The Ryan Coogler-directed film features Michael B. Jordan in a double role. Coogler's vampire horror film follows twins Smoke and Stack after they return to their small town in Mississippi from Chicago to start a juke joint in the 1930s.
"Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back," the film's synopsis reads.

When will 'Sinners' be available to stream on Max?
"Sinners" will be available to stream globally on Max on July 4, Warner Bros. said in a news release. Apart from having a debut on the streaming platform, the movie is also set to debut on HBO on July 5 at 8 p.m. ET.

Max subscription plans begin at $9.99 a month with ads, while ad-free subscriptions cost $16.99 a month.
The highest tier, which is $20.99 a month, includes the ability to stream on four devices and offers 4K Ultra HD video quality and 100 downloads. HBO also offers bundles with Hulu and Disney+.
When does 'Sinners' come out on 4K Blu-ray/DVD?
"Sinners" will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD at online and physical retailers on July 8.
Warner Bros. said the digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray version of the movie will offer special features such as the making of the movie, the creation of the characters and their costumes and deleted scenes, among others.

Pictures in China, Tom and Jerry: Forbidden Compass will be distributed in the country by Wu Zhou Film Distribution Co. Ltd. Chinese director Zhang Gang helmed the project, after previously co-directing Kuiba 3. Another weekend means a fresh wave of new movies across the best streaming services just arrived, including some of this year's biggest blockbusters. The biggest newcomer this week is easily "A Minecraft Movie" on Max, though my top pick would have to be 'Final Destination Bloodlines' arriving on premium video-on-demand streaming platforms. On Netflix, you can check out 'Kpop Demon Hunters," a fun and vibrant new animated adventure from the studio behind the "Spider-Verse" films. Over on Disney Plus, there's a new live-action musical version of "Frozen" with new songs from the original movie's songwriters. Lastly, Paramount Plus has a millennia-spanning love story starring Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun called "Love Me." So if you're looking for what to watch this weekend, your search is over. Here are our picks for the best new movies on streaming to add to your watchlist. Working as a prequel and a sequel, the long-awaited sixth "Final Destination" film reinvigorates the franchise by taking its iconic premise to a new level: If death hunts down those who cheat fate, what happens when those survivors have children? While this generational angle adds a fun new layer, "Bloodlines" still delivers on all the inventive gore and over-the-top kills that fans have come to expect. "KPop Demon Hunters" follows superstars Rumi (voiced by Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), who split their time between selling out stadiums and (what else?) slaying demons. But they're faced with their biggest challenge yet when a rival boy band turns out to be a group of demons in disguise. Watch it now on Netflix Anyone counting down the days until "Wicked: For Good" will be excited to learn that one of Disney's most popular movies of all time, "Frozen," is getting the "Hamilton" treatment on Disney Plus. The musical tells the same story as the animated film, only in a live stage format. You'd be forgiven for thinking this is the Broadway version based on the title, but it's actually a taping of the show's West End production at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London, which ran from 2021 to 2024. The show features 12 new songs written exclusively for the musical by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who co-wrote the songs for both "Frozen" and "Frozen 2." And of course, there's still all the original earworms from the movie, only this time with "Pretty Woman: The Musical" star Samantha Barks belting out "Let It Go" instead of Idina Menzel. Watch it now on Disney Plus For an offbeat romantic drama with a heavy helping of sci-fi, look no further than Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun's "Love Me." Set in a future where humanity has gone extinct, it follows an unexpected duo: a weather buoy (voiced by Stewart) that becomes self-aware after a brief encounter with a passing satellite (Yeun). Yearning for a sense of self, the buoy calls itself 'Me' and dubs the satellite 'Iam.' Me persuades Iam to study the remnants of the internet with her to better understand what it means to be human. Though Iam doesn't realize it, Me begins to construct new identities for them both based on social media posts from a once-living couple. As their bond evolves into something that resembles love, the cracks in their borrowed identities as well as their growing connection begin to show. Watch it now on Paramount Plus

For the week of June 17th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. This week, we spotlight the 4K UHD debut of a cult favorite musical as The Wiz hits 4K UHD Blu-Ray courtesy of The Criterion Collection from a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. The special features include a new commentary track, featurettes, and more. The label also has the unconventional biopic Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould debuting on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from a 4K scan of the 35mm Interpositive in SDR with a commentary track and new interviews. Things get more shocking over at Radiance Films with the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of Palindromes from controversial director Todd Solondz. The first 4K UHD release from the label has been restored by MOMA and is presented in SDR with interviews and a video essay. Milestone Films has restored the Charles Burnett drama The Annihilation of Fish starring the legendary James Earl Jones and Lynn Redgrave on Blu-Ray with a commentary track, a short film, a Q&A, and more. MVD Entertainment has come through with an impressive release of the long-unavailable sci-fi action film Terminus on Blu-Ray featuring two cuts of the film, an hour-long making-of documentary, an interview with the director, and more. In the world of television, we have the hit drama Landman: Season 1 on Blu-Ray courtesy of Paramount. The series stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm, set within the world of Texas oilfields. The release comes with ten episodes from the debut season with an array of featurettes. Universal delivers one of the biggest Blu-Ray sets of all time with Murder She Wrote: The Complete Series on Blu-Ray featuring all 264 episodes from 12 seasons, plus four TV movies and a nice selection of special features. Fans of Asian cinema are sitting pretty this week with some gems finally getting a proper Blu-Ray presentation. The crew at Eureka Entertainment keeps up the Hong Kong cinema classics with Hong Kong 1941 starring Chow Yun-fat remastered in 4K from the original negative with a new commentary, interviews, and more. The label also has the double feature set Exact Revenge featuring Shaw Brothers action outings The Eunuch and The Deadly Knives on Blu-Ray from HD restorations provided by Celestial Pictures. Each film has a commentary track and a shared video essay. It is a huge month for Vinegar Syndrome releases as we dive into a sprawling slate of 4K UHD Blu-Ray releases. First up, we have the Eddie Murphy adventure comedy The Golden Child with a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision. The special features include a new commentary track, interviews, and more. The laughs continue with the Bob Saget cult favorite Dirty Work starring Norm Macdonald featuring a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision. The release comes with the theatrical cut and the newly restored 'Dirtier Cut' plus a making-of documentary, interviews, and more. This is not the only film to receive a heroic restoration, as they also have the erotic thriller Jade from director William Friedkin, in which the theatrical cut and the rare Director's Cut have been restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision. The fine folks at OCN Distribution have an exciting slate of Partner Label titles on Blu-Ray this month that offer a little something for everyone. Cartuna kicks off with the documentary feature Cash Cow detailing one man's struggle off the grid during the pandemic as he waits for his Domino's commercial to air. Film Movement Classics brings the queer historical drama Edward II featuring Tilda Swinton back to Blu-Ray. The mainline of Film Movement is bringing the historical drama Sisi & I starring Sandra Hüller to Blu-Ray along with Tahara featuring rising star Rachel Sennott in a high school dramedy. We have two new labels entering the family for Partners Only month. First up we have KimStim and their release of the scandalous French drama Ma Mere starring Isabelle Huppert, newly restored on Blu-Ray with an interview with the director. Glass Eye Pix mark their first release with low-budget sci-fi drama Automatons from James Felix McKenney restored in 2K with a nice slate of supplements. Cinematographe has the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of the Richard Gere remake of Breathless. This new release was derived from a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision and comes with a rich array of supplements. They also have the Blu-Ray debut of Swimming To Cambodia from director Jonathan Demme which captures the one-man show of Spalding Gray. This has been given a 2K restoration of the Original Camera Negative along with a new commentary track and various interviews.
