The study, conducted by Kantar, shows that Coca-Cola outperforms Pepsi across key emotional metrics such as excitement, advocacy, and brand love. While both brands maintain strong visibility and familiarity, Coke appears to connect more meaningfully with this generation.The ET Snapchat Gen Z Index was mapped to record changes over a 3-month period.
Gen Z's brand choices go beyond taste. Coca-Cola's stronger performance is rooted in how it makes young consumers feel — from the way it's positioned to how it communicates. The findings suggest that Gen Z is more likely to feel positively about Coca-Cola and to recommend it within their circles.
In contrast, Pepsi sees less enthusiasm and lower peer-driven advocacy. Despite its ongoing efforts to remain relevant, the brand appears to be facing challenges in turning consumer use into deeper loyalty among young Indians.
One of the key insights from the study is that emotional edge matters. Coca-Cola scores better on sentiment-related factors such as trust and excitement — both of which contribute to long-term preference. This puts the brand in a stronger position to retain and grow loyalty within the Gen Z segment.
The generational shift also reflects changing attitudes toward influence. With Gen Z placing low trust in celebrity endorsements, campaigns that rely on nostalgia or famous faces may no longer be enough. Instead, consistent and relatable branding is gaining more traction.
The report signals a clear takeaway — Coca-Cola has struck the right chord with Gen Z by staying authentic and emotionally resonant. While both cola giants remain deeply rooted in the Indian market, it's Coke that currently holds the advantage in terms of brand affinity and emotional relevance among the country's youngest consumers.

BCCI floats RFP for IPL and WPL digital services
Mumbai, June 4 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday invited proposals from reputed entities to provide digital services for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Women's Premier League (WPL), aiming to further enhance the digital presence and fan engagement of both premier T20 competitions. Issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), the cricket board said, 'The BCCI invites proposals from reputed entities to acquire the rights and obligations to provide services relating to IPL and WPL Digital Properties.' The RFP document outlines the terms, conditions, and technical specifications governing the submission and evaluation of bids. It can be purchased upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 2.50 lakh plus applicable GST for Indian entities, and USD 2,925 for foreign entities. The RFP will be available from June four. The last date to seek clarifications is June 20, the deadline to purchase the RFP is June 25, and completed proposals must be submitted by July seven. Only those meeting the eligibility criteria will be eligible to bid. Indian applicants must have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 15 crore, while foreign applicants must show equivalent turnover. Applicants must also have at least eight years of relevant digital service experience, with preference given to those with a track record in sports, particularly cricket, and expertise in broadcast-integrated digital solutions. 'It is clarified that merely purchasing the RFP does not entitle any person to bid,' the BCCI stated, adding that only those who meet the eligibility conditions and submit complete documentation will be allowed to participate in the bidding process. Interested parties must email payment confirmation to [rfp@ as per the procedure laid out in the RFP's Annexure A. The RFP documents will be shared only after verification of payment and relevant details. DGCA audit finds violations by Turkish Airline
India's aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation has identified multiple safety and compliance violations by Turkish Airlines during a recent series of inspections at major Indian airports, raising concerns over the airline's adherence to international and domestic aviation standards. The audit comes amidst scanner on Turkish companies following the country's support to Pakistan during the recent geopolitical conflict. In May, the government has also revoked security clearance for Turkish ground handler Celebi, DGCA last week approved an extension of IndiGo 's wet lease agreement with Turkish Airlines for three months, for operating two Boeing 777 aircraft on its Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul after the airline submitted an undertaking to terminate the lease within this extended period.
