UAE petrol and diesel prices for July 2025 announced: Check new rates

Time of India8 hours ago

July fuel prices in the UAE have increased after remaining steady in June and May, which followed two months of consistent declines
Petrol and diesel prices across the UAE will increase starting July 1, 2025, following a period of global oil market uncertainty and geopolitical tensions. This comes after two months of relative stability, with June prices holding steady at May's levels.
Price Breakdown: What Motorists Will Pay in July
The UAE's Fuel Price Committee announced the revised retail rates for July late this month. The new prices, effective from Monday, July 1, are as follows:
Super 98 petrol: Dh2.70 per litre
(up from Dh2.58 in June)
Special 95 petrol: Dh2.58 per litre
(up from Dh2.47 in June)
E-Plus 91 petrol: Dh2.51 per litre
(up from Dh2.39 in June)
Diesel: Dh2.63 per litre
(up from Dh2.45 in June)
These increases mark a noticeable shift after fuel prices remained unchanged in June, following a slight rise in May and two months of consecutive declines prior to that.
Global Tensions Driving Up Oil Prices
The July price hike was largely anticipated due to rising global crude prices earlier in June. Market analysts had projected an upward pressure on fuel prices after a series of geopolitical events triggered a surge in oil rates.
According to reports, the spike followed a sharp escalation in the Middle East after conflict broke out between Israel and Iran, prompting U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. These developments heightened fears of supply disruptions in the region, causing crude oil prices to rally.
How UAE Fuel Prices Are Set
The UAE deregulated fuel prices in August 2015, linking them to global oil market trends. Since then, petrol and diesel rates are revised monthly by the UAE's Fuel Price Committee, based on fluctuations in global crude prices.
The revised prices are typically announced in the final days of each month and implemented from the 1st of the following month. This transparent pricing mechanism helps ensure that local retail rates reflect international energy market conditions, both up and down.

India's Agni-5 missile to gain 7,500 kg warhead for deep underground strikes

India has begun developing a new class of high-powered missiles with bunker-buster capabilities to strike heavily fortified underground targets. The Agni-5 missiles have a range of over 5,000 kms and carries conventional weapons. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is working on a modified version of the Agni-5 intercontinental ballistic missile, designed to penetrate reinforced subterranean facilities, India Today reported. This development follows the recent use of Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs, which are bunker-buster weapons, by the United States against Iranian nuclear sites. While the existing Agni-5 missile has a range of over 5,000 km and carries conventional warheads, the upgraded variant will reportedly be capable of delivering a 7,500 kg bunker-buster warhead. The new missile is intended to target enemy installations buried beneath layers of concrete, with the ability to penetrate 80 to 100 metres underground. India's intent to match US capabilities The United States on June 22 launched surprise strikes on a key underground uranium enrichment site at Fordow, along with nuclear facilities in Isfahan and Natanz. The US used the B-2 bombers to drop a dozen bunker-buster bombs on Fordow and Natanz nuclear sites. Also Read: How US used its bunker-buster bombs at Iranian nuclear sites India is eyeing to match the capabilities of the US and is planning to go even further. While the US is relying on large and expensive bomber aircraft, India is planning to design its bunker buster to be delivered using missiles. While the US bunker buster bombs are large and require costly bomber aircraft, India is planning to develop the missile with greater flexibility, cost-efficiency, and rapid response capability. Two variants under development The report further said that two new variants of the Agni-5 missiles are under development. The first variant would offer an airburst warhead for above-ground targets, while the latter would be a deep-penetrating missile designed to burrow into hardened subterranean infrastructure. Also Read: US mulling $30 billion deal with Iran for civilian nuclear program? Donald Trump answers It added that the warhead would weigh around eight tonnes, while the range of the weapon would be reduced to 2,500 kms. Moreover, the missiles are expected to be hypersonic weapons, expected to reach the speeds between Mach 8 and March 20. The new Agni-5 variant would be crucial for India's armament for targeting command-and-control centres, missile silos, and critical military infrastructure.

Who is Noshir Gowadia? Indian who built US B-2 stealth bombers, hailed as a hero, now in jail because..., he is from...

New Delhi: The 12-day war between Israel and Iran was halted after a ceasefire deal on the intervening night of June 23-24, but not before the USA bombed three Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The US targeted these sites with fighter jets and the touted B-2 stealth bombers. Even though the ceasefire is in place as of now and the concerned countries are busy with endeavours to get things back on track, situation is still volatile. How did B-2 excel? However, one thing that stole the limelight was the role played by the United States' B-2 stealth bombers in striking three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites. B-2 bombers are capable of dropping 30,000-pound bombs and that is a massive weight and an equally massive destruction. But did you know that the highly celebrated B-2 stealth bombers have an Indian connection? B-2 bomber's Indian connection? As we mentioned that B-2 has an Indian connection, we will tell you about it. The name is Noshir Gowadia, the Indian brain behind America's game changer aircraft. Noshir Gowadia was born in 1944 in Bombay in a Parsi family. He exuded brilliance from a young age and is said to have earned a PhD by the age of 15. He moved to the United States when he was 19 to study aeronautical engineering and became a naturalized US citizen in 1969. Later he joined Northrop Corporation, now known as Northrop Grumman. When Gowadia built B-2 bomber with amazing features Noshir joined Northrop at a crucial time for the USA as it was trying to modify the weaknesses exposed during its prolonged war with Vietnam and Yom Kippur. His skills were valuable as the US had lost thousands of aircraft and was in need of making a plane that could not be seen. Noshir made one as he designed the B-2 stealth bombers after spending over 20 years to design and make the propulsion system so that its exhaust was invisible to heat sensors and radars. The B-2 stealth bomber could not be detected. It could drop 40,000 pounds of explosives and fly 10,000 nautical miles (18520 km) with single refuelling. What were Gowadia's struggles? Gowadia and his work were highly praised, and he became a hero for the American military. He was relieved Northrop in 1986 due to a rare blood disorder after which he bought a villa in Maui, Hawaii with high loan. The loan instalments were proving too much for the genius, and he was in dire need of money. How did Gowadia lose all respect and prestige? Somehow, Gowadia could not handle the pressure and tried short cuts to make easy money. He began a secret partnership with Chinese officials in 2003 and travelled to the country six times using various aliases. His job was to help China build a stealth cruise missile by designing an exhaust nozzle that reduced infrared and radar signatures similar to the B-2. Reportedly, the Chinese paid him $110,000 for this which he used to pay off his loan. But he could not hide this large sum of money from the revenue officials and. The FBI began an investigation when shipping documents related to him raised suspicions. When FBI arrested Gowadia He was arrested by the FBI who charged him with giving secret defense information to unauthorized parties. According to prosecutors, the information mostly related to the B-2 project, and at least eight foreign countries were shown documents relating to the B-2's stealth technology. In an affidavit, Gowadia admitted to transmitting classified information, and stated that he did so 'to establish the technological credibility with the potential customers for future business.' Gowadia was held without bail after his arrest. Also, the FBI found 500 pounds of evidence in his Hawaii home, including computers, blueprints, emails, and thumb drives filled with sensitive data. Noshir Gowadia was sentenced to 32 years in prison after a four-month-long trial in 2010.

'Not offering Iran anything': Donald Trump refuses to talk with Tehran; attacks Obama-era policy

US President Donald Trump US President Donald Trump said that he is "not talking or giving anything" to Tehran after the deputy foreign minister has put a condition on any future diplomatic and nuclear talks with America. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "Tell phony Democrat Senator Chris Coons that I am not offering Iran ANYTHING, unlike Obama, who paid them $Billions under the stupid 'road to a Nuclear Weapon JCPOA (which would now be expired!), nor am I even talking to them since we totally OBLITERATED their Nuclear Facilities." This came after Tehran's deputy foreign minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said the US must rule out any further strikes on Iran if it wants to resume diplomatic talks. He revealed to BBC that the Trump administration communicated via intermediaries about resuming negotiations this week. However, he noted that they failed to clarify their stance regarding potential attacks during the discussion period. Discussions between the US and Iran concerning Iran's nuclear programme were ongoing when Israel conducted strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and military installations earlier this month, prompting Iran to launch missile counterstrikes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like ¿Padece una enfermedad renal crónica (ERC)? Earlier, a CNN report came that the Trump administration in recent days has explored possible economic incentives in return for the Iranian regime halting uranium enrichment. Iran would also be allowed to receive assistance from regional countries to help it build the civilian nuclear programme, granting Tehran access to as much as the reported $30 billion. However, Trump refuted the claims and called it a fake and hoax news. He said, "Who in the FAKE NEWS MEDIA is the SleazeBag saying that 'President Trump wants to give Iran $30 billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities.' Never heard of this ridiculous idea." "It's just another HOAX put out by the Fake News in order to demean. These people are SICK!!!," the MAGA leader added.
