Samsung's £600 giveaway with free tech bundle ends in hours
Samsung fans can get a free tech bundle worth nearly £600 this month in a mega summer giveaway, but the offer is ending soon - here's how to get it
Samsung fans can get their hands on a tech bundle worth almost £600 with an epic summer giveaway, but the deal ends in hours. Everyone loves a freebie, but this deal includes three items for free when upgrading to a new smartphone.
It comes from Currys-owned retailer Mobiles.co.uk, which is throwing in a free Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro with orders of the Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra. What's more, customers can head to the Samsung website after placing their order to claim a free Galaxy Tab A9+.
The three gadgets are worth a combined £596 and are available with a range of S25 deals including iD Mobile's £24.99 per month plan, which also comes with a 500GB data allowance for the price of 100GB.
The 24-month contract has a £79 upfront cost but also includes a six-month free trial of Google One AI Premium typically priced at £113.94. Mobiles.co.uk has not confirmed an expiry date for the free tech bundle, but has said the price drop will end at 4pm on Tuesday, June 10.
It's worth noting that iD Mobile – supported by the Three network – is one of many providers that hike its prices every April, with this plan set to increase to £26.49 from April 2026, reports the Express.
Despite this, the total cost of the plan over the contract term is £702.76, which is cheaper than buying the phone directly from Samsung and Amazon, which offer it for £799 and £751 respectively. Those opting for the S25+ can consider iD Mobile's £39.99 per month plan with £79 upfront, while the S25 Ultra costs £44.99 per month and £119 upfront
Bear in mind that the smartwatch and earbuds are dispatched separately from the tablet and will be sent to the address provided during the checkout process. To snap up the free tablet, customers must head over to the Samsung offers website after purchase to claim their gift, but only available on orders placed by June 26.
Despite fierce competition from giants like EE and O2, Mobiles.co.uk has been racking up some shining endorsements on Trustpilot. One customer left a glowing five-star review, saying: "My go-to. Seamless and such good deals to be had.
"I would not look anywhere else." Another said: "Fast and efficient. Great choice of phones and contracts at the best prices I could find after a comprehensive search of a large number of alternatives.
"Clear communication, and my phone was delivered on the day and time it was stated by the company. Everything about the experience was good."
However, not all feedback was so positive, as this customer said: "Requested my number to be changed, which never did and had to phone iD Mobile to put in a new request. The simplest of things so giving three stars. Rest of the service was good."
Meanwhile, another rave five-star review said: "Such a simple and super quick process to upgrade to a new phone. Had an issue online but called the call centre and was resolved by a lovely and helpful lady, the new phone arrived the next day. They were cheaper than the network provider themselves."

TikTok creating more than 500 new British jobs as UK users top 30 million
The Chinese-owned social media firm said its UK workforce would expand to 3,000 this year as part of its 'deep commitment' to the UK. It will also open a new 135,000sq ft office in London's Barbican, which is set to open early next year. The group already has its UK headquarters in Farringdon, London, which were opened in 2022. TikTok unveiled the plans as it said it now has more than 30 million regular users in the UK each month, which makes the market is biggest user community in Europe. Adam Presser, director of TikTok UK and global head of operations and trust and safety, said: 'Whether through direct investment in jobs and innovation, or the wider economic contribution from millions of British businesses on TikTok, we're pleased to be increasing our investment and presence here in the UK, an important hub for TikTok.' But it comes after Cabinet minister Pete Kyle signalled he was looking at measures to restrict the amount of time children spend on their phones, including through a possible 10pm curfew. Mr Kyle was asked on Sunday morning whether he would look at limiting the time children spend on social media to two hours per app after the Sunday People and Mirror reported the measure was being considered by ministers. The Online Safety Act has passed into law, and from this year will require tech platforms to follow new Ofcom-issued codes of practice to keep users safe online, particularly children. Hefty fines and site blockages are among the penalties for those caught breaking the rules, but many critics have argued the approach gives tech firms too much scope to regulate themselves. TikTok's Mr Presser said that, as well as its UK expansion plans, the group also invests 'significantly' in safety. He said: 'What underpins our continued growth is our deep commitment to safety and to creating an enjoyable and secure digital space to sustainably support creators, entrepreneurs and the wider economy, which is why we also invest significantly in safety.' TikTok first launched its UK operations in 2018 and is financially incorporated in Britain. The group was fined 530 million euro (£446 million) by the Irish data protection watchdog last month for breaching EU privacy rules around transferring user data to China. The video-sharing app was also sanctioned for not being transparent with users about where personal data was being sent and ordered the platform to comply with data protection rules within six months. TikTok said it would appeal against the decision. The social media giant, which is owned by China-based ByteDance, has been under scrutiny from regulators around the world over how it handles personal data, and is also facing a ban in the United States over its China links, which the US government has said is a national security issue.

Nintendo Switch 2 sales are breaking records worldwide claim insiders
Unofficial figures point to the Nintendo Switch 2 being far more successful than expected, but Nintendo themselves are not saying anything. Given how difficult it was to pre-order, and reports of retailers running out of stock for the midnight launch, it's safe to assume the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a big success. However, there's no official confirmation of exactly how well it's sold, at least not from Nintendo. The closest thing is a comment from Currys, which said it sold 30,000 units in the UK at launch. That's only one retailer in one region, but alleged sales numbers have begun floating around which, if accurate, point to the Switch 2 having the biggest launch of any video game console ever. This is something analysts predicted over a month ago, although Nintendo itself lowballed its own sales predictions, with the goal being to sell just slightly more than the Switch 1 managed in its launch year. Over the weekend, YouTuber Nintendo Prime claimed that the Switch 2 managed over three million units in its first 24 hours, which would be an incredible feat if accurate. Even the PlayStation 2, the world's best-selling console, couldn't manage that, while the current record holder for most units sold in its first 24 hours being the PlayStation 4, at over one million. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. Nintendo Prime says he's heard these figures from three separate sources and he's only willing to identify one of them: Paul Gale of gaming news site Paul Gale Network. Similarly, Pierre485 on X, who primarily shares games sales data, recently posted how the Switch 2 is doing very well in France – which has always been one of Nintendo's biggest markets in Europe. At over 200,000 units sold, it's the fastest selling console ever in the country (almost double that of the PlayStation 5) and has generated over €130 million (approximately £109.5 million) in four days. More Trending However, Pierre485 does stress that this should be treated as a rumour until official figures are shared by Nintendo of France. Nintendo Switch 2 sold over 200.000 units in France• Fastest selling console in the country.• Doubling the previous record holder (PS5, 107k units)• Generated over €130 million in 4 days• Mario Kart World attach rate is over 95% — Pierre485 (@pierre485_) June 9, 2025 There's currently no telling when Nintendo will consider sharing its own sales data, but if things are going this well, the company is bound to brag about it sooner rather than later. If it has gone well then it will be a relief for Nintendo that US tariffs have not had too negative an effect and that complaints about pricing, especially for Mario Kart World, have not resulted in people staying away. Ahead of launch, Nintendo admitted US tariffs stood to harm potential profits and if it increased the price of console in response to the tariffs (which it didn't), it would risk a drop in sales. Nigel Farage on 20mph, coal mining and steel, as he explains vision for future for Wales
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Reform UK leader NIgel Farage has spoken about his vision for the future of Wales, at a press conference today. He took to the stage just after 12pm in Port Talbot, with less than a year until the Senedd elections. His introduction had to be hastily rewritten given the UK Government's announcement, which went live at noon, that the winter fuel payment cuts are being partially reversed. Mr Farage said that Labour "knowing this press conference was taking place", announced they would make a fuel payment announcement at noon, as he was due to speak, but called it a "step in the right direction". He also announced independent councillors Andrew Barry and David Hughes, both members of Merthyr Tydfil council, have joined Reform UK, as they also took to the stage to explain how they had become disillusioned and moved to Reform. The most recent poll for Wales suggests his party is in line to take its first seats in the Senedd at the election in May 2026. Its only representation in Wales at the moment is with councillors, but a YouGov/Barn Cymru poll which asked people their voting intention for the Welsh Parliament in May put Reform UK in second with 25% of the vote. They were only behind Plaid Cymru who were projected to get 30% of the vote and ahead of Labour's 18%, reports Wales Online. In an opinion piece for WalesOnline, the party leader has given his first glimpses of policies ahead of the election. Mr Farage has said the party would allow coal mining again in Wales and says its long term plan is to "reopen the Port Talbot steelworks". The steelworks, owned by Tata, have not closed but its remaining blast furnaces were closed in 2024, with work now ongoing to build an electric arc furnace which will recycle previously-used steel. Thousands of jobs are being lost as part of the change. The Indian-owned company said the blast furnaces were at the end of their operational lives and too expensive to replace. The Port Talbot steelworks were, the company said, losing £1m a day before the blast furnaces were turned off. Reform UK say it would "use Welsh Development Grants to support real industry. We'll redirect economic funding from consultants and NGOs to actual factory floors, machinery, and industrial jobs in places like Llanelli, Shotton, and Ebbw Vale". Nigel Farage has also said the party would also set up "regional technical colleges" for people to have a "path into proper trade". (Image: Getty Images) The party would also, it says, stop any building being used for asylum seeker accommodation, end funding to the Welsh Refugee Council and scrap the Welsh Government's "Nation of Sanctuary". It also vowed to set up an Elon Musk style department to cut costs. "A Reform UK Senedd will also save hundreds of millions each year by cutting bureaucracy, waste and bad management. The establishment of Welsh DOGE will help us uncover where there is woke and wasteful spending and we will make sure those funds are redirected to frontline services," Mr Farage pledges. During the press conference Mr Farage also took aim at the controversial 20mph policy, saying he would reverse it. as he said he doubted the electric arc furnace at the Port Talbot Tata site would "every be switched on", but says their plan is to "reindustrialise Wales". He says in the coming years more steel will be needed and the UK should produce its own steel, and its own coal. "I'm not saying let's open all the pits, there are certain types of coal for certain types of uses, for the blast furnaces, we can use here," Mr Farage said, insisting it would be a small scale, specific mining and not like the "heydays of mining in Wales". Mr Farage also said there would be no going back on devolution, but criticised the running of Wales since. In response, a Welsh Labour spokesperson said: "Nigel Farage has no plans for steel - just a camera crew. You can't restart a blast furnace with a press conference. "Nigel Farage says that hopefully they mightthey'll bring back mining. The people of Wales will see through the false hope and false promises of a public-school boy from England who does not understand them and does not understand Wales. "His answer is to bring back the mines. The only thing Nigel Farage is trying to mine is votes from communities that have already gone through tough times. Nigel Farage has today brought his fantasy politics and magic money tree to Port Talbot. He's gambling with real people's livelihoods."
