Brown and Allardice exit County after 'worst possible ending'
Both joined the Dingwall club in summer 2023, 26-year-old defender Brown after leaving Doncaster Rovers and 27-year-old midfielder Allardice from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Irishman Brown made 33 appearances, 23 of them starts, this season while Allardice made only seven starts and 13 off the bench.
Both said thank you to County on the club website.
Brown said: "It is a shame how things finished with the relegation, but I have no doubt the club will bounce back."
Allardice described it as "the worst possible ending" and added: "Whilst it has not gone the way I would have wanted over the last two years, I have always tried to have a good impact on and off the park.
"I hope the club gets back up at the first time of asking."
Seven players who were on loan with County have also returned to their clubs - centre-backs Will Nightingale (Wimbledon), Elijah Campbell (Everton), Kacper Lopata (Barnsley) and Jonathan Tomkinson (Norwich City), left-back Zac Ashworth (Blackpool), midfielder Nohan Kenneh (Hibernian) and forward Jack Grieves (Watford).
Meanwhile, 20-year-old defender Connall Ewan has joined League 2 club Elgin City on a two-year contract having ended the season on loan to Caley Thistle.

Previously, Belichick said he wants to run UNC like an NFL-style program. With college football turning increasingly professional, thanks to NIL money and the transfer portal, Brown says this will help Belichick in his first year as a college coach. "And now, administrators don't like to say it, but we have pro football at some level in college," Brown continued. "We no longer have amateurism. We have payment scales, we've got NIL, kids are asking for money, they have agents, there's negotiations. So I do think the fact that we are much more like the NFL than ever before will really help Bill with this transition." State labor commissioner highlights economic benefits of NY budget during Elmira stop
The recently-approved $254 billion New York state budget includes the most comprehensive effort to boost workforce development and economic growth in the Southern Tier and elsewhere in years, according to New York State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon. At the invitation of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce, Reardon made a stop in Elmira on Aug. 13 as part of a statewide tour to tout New York Gov. Kathy Hochul's budget and explain how several provisions will benefit businesses, workers and the economy in general. Reardon highlighted several ways the state budget specifically addresses the needs of both business and labor. Pays off the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund debt, lowering costs for businesses. Creates more access to child care, providing $400 million for child care vouchers and $110 million to build new facilities and renovate existing ones. Provides free community college for students 25 to 35 who are pursuing careers in high demand fields, including education, health care and high tech manufacturing. Modernizes child labor laws and improves worker safety. "We want to make sure we take care of everybody. We can't leave anybody behind," Reardon said. "The free community college program is really exciting. The state will pay for tuition, books, education, health care." The money invested in all of the programs Reardon outlined is a good investment that will help build the economy and help prevent people from leaving New York, she said. "It's $60 billion that stabilizes the earnings of workers. It puts more money in their pockets," Reardon said. "That's money that goes right back into the economy. It's an investment. People will earn more money, pay more taxes. It's a small investment to ensure the state stays robust." Milestones Elmira native tapped as executive director for nationally-recognized Buffalo arts center Chemung County Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Herrick-McGonigal said she was very pleased Hochul and other state leaders are taking steps to improve business conditions in the Southern Tier, adding the move to restore solvency to the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund will be especially beneficial to businesses. "This action represents a critical win for businesses across Chemung County," Herrick-McGonigal said. "By easing the financial burden on local employers, this relief empowers them to reinvest in their workforce, grow their operations, and contribute to long-term regional economic development." He was one of the main reasons for their title in 2024, bringing home Finals MVP. The 28-year-old has spent his entire career, but he could be getting too expensive for the C's. Brown signed the most lucrative contract in the sport two summers ago, signing a five-year contract worth $304 million. The deal includes a supermax extension and the money he will be owed will only raise throughout the years. This upcoming season, Brown will be owed $53 million. In the final year of the contract, Brown will be owed $64 million.
