
1 dead in single-vehicle rollover on Stoney Trail in Calgary's northeast
Police say one person is dead following a rollover collision in Calgary's northeast.
The crash, involving one vehicle, happened shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday on eastbound Stoney Trail at Deerfoot Trail.
First responders discovered the vehicle on fire and say an occupant of the vehicle had died.
What exactly led to the crash is under investigation.
Police said motorists should expect traffic disruptions in the area into the night and early morning.

A 14-year-old boy was injured following an altercation in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. (Cosmo Santamaria/CTV News) Montreal police say a 14-year-old boy was injured following an armed assault in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. Police were called at around 4:40 p.m. about an injured person on Westbury Avenue, near Vezina Street. Officers found the teenager who sustained wounds to the upper body, possibly by a sharp object. He was transported to hospital and is in stable condition. Police say an altercation between the victim and multiple other individuals may have been the cause of the incident, but no arrests have been made. A security perimeter was set up in the area, but no official crime scene has been established as police are not sure where the incident actually occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
