www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "What a cool product! I found these on a 'got to have' list off Facebook. I throw shoes out because of the smell rather than wearing them out as I hate wearing socks. Bare feet all the time in shoes is not a winner. These are great at preventing stinky shoes — trim to size and just toss in the washer when needed! I will be buying several additional pairs!" — Amy

5. A pack of Dr. Frederick's Original Better Blister Bandages made with hydrocolloid to not only avoid rubbing existing blisters, but also to help heal them.
Here's what BuzzFeed staffer Emma Lord has to say about them: "As a blister-prone human, I swear by these. A few years ago, before I invested in these running socks that prevent blisters, I got a blister on my big toe so unspeakably large and painful that I am cringing even TYPING about it, and no amount of rest from running seemed to heal it; it just kept coming back. I finally used one of these bandages, and the pain was virtually gone from the moment I put it on. It was also so airtight that nothing got inside, and it didn't loosen in the shower. You're supposed to take it off when it loses adhesive so it can come off gently without disturbing the blister if it hasn't fully healed yet. After using two of these in a row over the course of a week and a half, my blister was finally healed up enough that it stopped coming back."
Promising review:"I got a big heel blister while breaking in some new work boots. It would have been painful to keep wearing the boots with a traditional Band-Aid. These Dr. Frederick's heel bandages work like magic. They are literally like a padded extra layer of skin. Put one on and you can't even feel the blister anymore. Could put the boots back on and go right back to work. And they fit so well, that towards the end of the healing period I forgot and even took a shower with it on and still stuck on fine. Like I say, like an layer of temporary skin." — Kevin Weatherman
Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in four varieties).

Promising reviews: " Sent from the HEAVENS!! This. Is. Everything. During the summer time my hair was placed in time out. Amazon
Food Huggers is a woman-owned small biz that focuses on everyday sustainable solutions to cut down on single-use plastic.
Promising review (it's long but worth it!): "I don't write many product reviews but I have to say how impressed I am with this product. I first saw it on 'Innovation Nation' and was curious. I decided to order a couple of sets and these really work. Here are two experiences: 1) I cooked a dish requiring half an onion two days before going on vacation; I nearly threw out the remainder of the onion fully expecting that it would go bad before I got back. I decided it would be a great test for the food huggers. I put the appropriate-sized food hugger on the onion and simply sat it on the shelf in my fridge. Two days later I left town for 10 days. Another day went by before I checked the fridge to see what I had to get at the grocery store and still didn't look at the onion, what was noticeable at that point was that the entire refrigerator did NOT smell like onion. A day or so after that, I went to cook a meal requiring onion and fully expected that the onion I left behind would not be usable. Not only was it not rotten or moldy, but it still smelled fresh and was still juicy — not dried out or withered, perfectly fine to use. 2.) I skeptically used a food hugger on half a heirloom tomato planning to use the other half a day or two later. Life got busy, plans changed and a full week later, the tomato was still sitting there. The tomato was fine and only suffered a little from being in too cold of a section of my fridge. Very impressive. The only thing that requires some adjustment is cutting your vegetables in such a way that a circular cross-section is there for the food hugger to fit onto. I consider this to be only a minor inconvenience." — holiday shopper

But with the Arm & Hammer swivel bin and rake, there is no more bending to pick up the doggy droppings. I am able to easily use the rake to push the droppings into the bag covered bin. When I am done cleaning up the yard, I just simply remove the plastic bag from the scoop, tie it off, and dispose. I try to let it sit for 48 hours so I can dilute it with a little water to get it to last longer, and throw it in my dishwasher in between uses. Perfect!" — Jo

38. A beach tent with UPF 50+ protection (the maximum sun protective rating achievable for fabrics) you can keep in the trunk of your car, g2g when you decide to hit the sand but don't want to have to glare into the sun the whole time. Reviewers say you can put it up solo and it stays anchored thanks to bags you fill with sand.
www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I got this for a week-long beach trip, and it did not disappoint. This thing is super easy to put up and has plenty of space for the littles to play in the shade. I didn't worry even once about the wind snatching this thing up. It was super sturdy with the sandbags filled. 10/10." — Madison H.

40. An outdoor fan just begging to be mounted in the corner of your porch to keep a breeze going because even if your porch has ceiling fans, sometimes that isn't enough by May (depending on where you live). Also, circulating air will decrease the number of bugs that bother you.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
This weatherproof fan has a fully sealed and permanently lubricated industrial motor to protect it against wetness.
Promising review: "Great fan at a good price! I bought this fan for my backyard to help circulate the air on hot days and to help deter mosquitoes at night around the fire pit. This fan worked perfectly. It has three speeds, the highest of which is super strong. The fan at high speed is a bit noisy, but nothing unexpected of a powerful fan. It is also 100% waterproof, which is a must. My only minor issues would be 1) it would be nice if the fan came with a cover for when it's not used (I bought 20-inch tire storage covers to do the job), and 2) the fan is only adjustable up and down not side to side — if they could make it oscillate that would be great. Having said that, I would recommend this fan for sure and would not hesitate to buy it again." — Bigdad

www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I live near water and have animals = I get bugs. With one of these placed at each of my doors or windows outside = I get no flying bugs inside. Finally. During winter, truly no flies inside. During summer, an occasional fly/mosquito slips through the circumference. Overall, it saved me one summer when we were getting 10 mosquito bites a day. After I started using this, no mosquito bites! (Dogs do not even notice its existence)." — Christine D.

47. A pair of seamless Nippies silicone pasties will keep you from doing calculus just to figure out if one of your new spring tops will work with a regular bra. These will give you coverage on even the sweatiest days.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I've tried so many nipple covers over the years and these are just in a league of their own! They stick and don't move (sweat, clothes, moisturizer etc — nothing budges them) but then they also peel off so easily. It's magic. They are completely seamless and my husband (without prompting) said they looked like a second skin on. I've got quite 'triangular' boobs and they completely mold to the shape and look like I just have no nipples lol. Only when I'm suuuuuper cold do any level of nipple start to show through and even then it's minimal. They're more pricey than others I've bought before but so worth it. The others were one and done — these have held up through several wears and are still in perfect condition. Will repurchase as soon as they wear out without a doubt! No more bras!" — Alison

Martha Stewart's secret to the perfect flower arrangement? Footed compote bowls (get her look for under $20)

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. When it comes to arranging flowers (or doing anything of that ilk) there is perhaps no one we trust more than Martha Stewart to guide us with her signature precision and creativity. A clip recently shared to the Martha Moments Instagram page saw Martha showing off her DIY flower arranging skills, and it turns out her secret lies in the vessel she uses as much as her arrangement techniques. 'I love to go out in the garden and pick an array of flowers that can be used as decorative touches, as garnishes and even as flavourings in soups and salads,' she says in the video. She also advocates for a compote bowl as one of the best vases for table centerpieces: and we can see why. Nothing says chic like a glass compote bowl, and this sturdy, Roman-style one meets the mark. From $19.99 on Amazon Give your flower arrangement a luxe vessel with this gold compote bowl, featuring a dainty stem and scalloped edges. From $26.99 on Amazon This minimalist, ceramic compote vase works just as well for displaying flowers as it does holding fruit. From $26.95 at Amazon Her vase of choice is a bowl that you typically might use for sweets or fruit, but it works wonders on a summer tablescape. 'This is a footed compote really meant for candy or fruit and just take the covers off,' she explains. 'I have a pair of these and I'm really very fond of them for flower arranging. They stand up off the table and they're pretty.' To keep these vessels looking sharp, she recommends adding a protective layer before placing your flowers. 'Protect your containers with a little bit of plastic,' she suggests. 'If this were silver, the frogs might scratch it, and if it's glass too, a little bit of rust might be left in the bottom of the bowl. I'm going to use this large spring frog placed right on top of that plastic.' When thinking about how to arrange flowers, Martha suggests personalizing your bouquet with an assortment of wildflowers. Bonus points if you source them from your local flower market. 'I picked an eclectic mix, all kinds of things from this feather thistle, which has a beautiful grayish blue tint, and cut the flowers and just start building an arrangement,' she says. 'I don't really know what it's going to look like when I start, except that I do have quite a variety of flowers from which to choose. And I like doing this kind of eclectic bouquet because it's the kind of flower arranging that you really can't go to a florist and buy.' She builds quite a robust arrangement, but she says that it's important to look at the bouquet from all sides to make sure it is not too big or too small. 'Keep looking at the container from all the way around so that you don't leave any bare spots,' she explains. 'Because remember, this is going to go around in the center of a table. 'I could just keep going and going and adding and adding, and you have to stop somewhere when you're making a flower arrangement. This flower arrangement is a little tall for the center of the table, so I'll use it on a side table in the dining room instead.' This is our cue to follow Martha's timeless lead. If it still impresses after decades, you can be sure it's a worthy investment.

Looking for a unique way to style flowers? Martha Stewart and Meghan Markle's vase alternatives will make you rethink conventional vessels

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. There's never a bad time to dress your entryway with flowers, but if there's ever a particularly good time, it's summer. It goes without saying that the upcoming season offers every excuse to fill your rooms with beautiful blooms, but for 2025, I wanted to take things further than a conventional glass vase. This is where Meghan Markle and Martha Stewart's inspiration comes into play. A unifying thread between Meghan and Martha is their unique alternatives to vases. Starting with Meghan. She recently shared footage of her flower arrangement from her Montecito home, in which she styles roses in a cream urn, typically a vessel that's used for much larger flower arrangements. It's undeniably unique; however, it's not the first time I've seen a unique vase alternative this week. Only a few days ago, the celebrity style team also covered how Martha Stewart uses footed compote bowls as a substitute for a classic flower vase, and I couldn't help but notice the similarities between her choice and Meghan's urn, despite Martha's footage dating back through the decades. This planter offers durability and style for your entryway, living room, or outside on your patio. It's perfectly sized for presenting your favorite plants and flowers in a modern and stylish manner. Was $84, now $73.99 at Wayfair Nothing says chic like a glass compote bowl, and this sturdy, Roman-style one meets the mark. From $19.99 on Amazon Give your flower arrangement a luxe vessel with this gold compote bowl, featuring a dainty stem and scalloped edges. From $26.99 on Amazon Despite seeing Meghan's and Martha's vase alternatives in the same week, the latter is certainly nothing new. Martha Stewart first showed off her footed compote arrangement over three decades ago, but the lessons remain just as inspiring in 2025. 'This is a footed compote really meant for candy or fruit, and just take the covers off,' she says in the footage. I have a pair of these and I'm really very fond of them for flower arranging. They stand up off the table and they're pretty.' Martha also shared a tip to ensure your footed compote bowls remain fit for purpose after you get rid of your blooms. 'Protect your containers with a little bit of plastic. If this were silver, the frogs might scratch it, and if it's glass too, a little bit of rust might be left in the bottom of the bowl,' she demonstrates. 'I'm going to use this large spring frog placed right on top of that plastic.' Is this the summer of unconventional vases? With examples from Meghan and Martha to follow, I'm unlikely to go back to a regular flower vessel for the rest of the season.

I dare you *not* to twirl after checking yourself out in the mirror. An open-back beauty you'll feel absolutely regal in whether you wear it to a dinner date or for a stroll at the park. The ruffles at the bottom are simply *everything*. A button-up shirtdress that'll make you look extremely put together even if, in reality, you've already dropped your coffee immediately after buying it and locked yourself out of your apartment. And a smocked midi dress that looks very similar to the iconic (albeit pricier) Hill House Nap Dress. It was clearly designed with frolicking in flower-filled fields in mind — just imagine it fanning out around you while you skip and twirl through some picturesque tulips. 🌷
