Toddler dies after ‘slipping from dad's arms' in tragic water park accident
A girl aged just 21 months old has died after reportedly 'slipping' from her dad's arms as they went down a slide at a waterpark.
The incident took place at Aquagen waterpark in Lopar, Croatia, with local media stating the young girl fell from a height of approximately three-and-a-half metres onto concrete.
The toddler, who was from Germany, was then airlifted to the nearby Rijeka Hospital Clinical Centre for emergency aid.
Despite the work of the paramedics, she died from her internal organ and head injuries.

The incident took place on Tuesday and has left the local community 'extremely shaken', according to the Lopar mayor.
'It is an understatement to say that we are all extremely shaken,' said Zdenko Jakuc.
'When the helicopter landed, everything stopped. We all looked at the sky and hoped for the best.'
According to 24 Sata, the girl's dad was overheard shouting 'my daughter is dying!' as he knelt over her after the fall.
One witness of the incident told local media: 'The waiter had just brought me coffee. When we heard crying and shouting, we thought the child had drowned.
"Then we saw a man carrying the child on the side. A doctor from Slovenia happened to be there and immediately came to help."
The doctor then performed CPR before the young girl could be airlifted to hospital.
The waterpark's owner, Josip Ivanic, said, according to Jutarnji: "It's a tragedy for us, for the family, for everyone."
The police have said that authorities will continue to investigate the circumstances of the girl's death.

Widow of man killed in Creeslough explosion sues over fatal blast

Papers were lodged before the High Court on June 17th by solicitors Damien Tansey on behalf of James O'Flaherty's widow Tracey O'Flaherty naming 11 parties to be summonsed. The parties include Danny and Annette Lafferty, the siblings who owned the petrol station destroyed in the explosion, Applegreen, Vivo/Shell Ltd, the Duntally Wood apartment owners management company, the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities, the Registrar of Gas Installers of Ireland and Donegal Co. Mr O'Flaherty, was originally from Sydney in Australia, but was living with his wife Tracey and son Hamish in Dunfanaghy, a village about 10 minutes' drive from Creeslough. 12-year-old Hamish was sitting in Volvo in the service station forecourt when the explosion demolished a shop, filling station and a block of apartments. Investigators later identified an accidental gas leak as a possible cause. At Mr. O'Flaherty's funeral mass, tribute was paid to the caring husband and father by Fr Brian O Fearraigh. He said Mr O'Flaherty lived for his wife Tracey and son Hamish. "James showered his loving son and wife in hugs and kisses every day," he said. "James O'Flaherty was a generous and a kind man. He loved chatting to other people and he just wanted to spend all his free time with you - his family. "He had honesty and integrity in abundance. "He was a man who had high morals which I'm told are traits and values that he shared with his late father." Hamish described his father as a "great man", who worked "very hard and very long each day". "He wore a jacket with a huge paint stain on the side of it everywhere. He managed this by leaning on a wall which was still wet with paint," he said. "He wore the jacket everywhere. To the shops, to the movies, to the beach." He urged mourners to "cherish" their families. "Be grateful, for they won't be there forever… Use the time you have wisely," he said. A gardai investigation into the circumstances of the deadly explosion continues. A total of six arrests have taken place but no charges have yet been brought against any individual. Earlier this month, at the July Plenary meeting of Donegal County Council, 100% Redress Councillor Tomas Sean Devine submitted a motion calling on Donegal County Council to purchase the site where the explosion by way of negotiation with the owner or with a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO). Man accused of threatening customer with a hammer while working at Aldi
The court heard Aaron Dempsey had been a member of staff when there was a dispute with the alleged victim, A man has been sent for trial accused of brandishing a hammer while working at a supermarket and threatening a customer. Aaron Dempsey (30) is alleged to have produced the hammer during a dispute at an Aldi in north Dublin. He had a book of evidence served on him when he appeared in Dublin District Court. Judge Michèle Finan sent him forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. Mr Dempsey, of Elm Mount Road, Beaumont, is charged with producing an implement capable of causing serious injury in a manner likely to intimidate. The incident is alleged to have happened at Aldi, Santry Avenue, on June 26 last year. A prosecuting solicitor said the DPP was consenting to the accused being returned for trial to the current sittings of the circuit court. He was remanded on continuing bail Judge Finan gave Mr Dempsey the formal notice that he had 14 days to provide any alibi details to the prosecution. She also ordered the State to furnish the defence with the accused's garda interview video. He was remanded on continuing bail to appear in the circuit court later this month. Previously, the court heard Mr Dempsey had been a member of staff when there was a dispute with the alleged victim, during which 'the accused produced a hammer and threatened the customer'. The DPP had consented to the case being heard in the district court, but Judge Finan refused jurisdiction after hearing the outline of the prosecution's case.
