Vaayu was not able to take his eyes off his little sister. 'From two to four hearts beating as one. Our family is now complete. Blessed with a baby girl,' Vatsal and Ishita penned in the caption. As soon as the post was up, congratulatory messages started pouring in for the new parents. Suniel Shetty wrote in the comment section, 'Congratulations.' This superstar's flop son lost Rs 100 crore in one film, called off his wedding at 22, married a woman nine years older than him at 31; his name is...
On Friday, in a small ceremony in Hyderabad, popular actor Akhil Akkineni, son of Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni, finally married the love of his life, Zainab Ravdjee. With a star-studded guest list that included some of the biggest names in the South film business, the Akkineni family threw a sumptuous celebration after the ceremony to honour the newlyweds. With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony (3:35 am) at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us. We seek your blessings… — Nagarjuna Akkineni (@iamnagarjuna) June 6, 2025 But today, we won't be talking about his marriage or love stories, but his films. We will be talking about a Pan-India superstar's son who has struggled to make an impact despite an 11-year film career. With only 7 films under his belt, most of which have flopped or performed below average, except for his debut. One of his films reportedly sank a whopping Rs 100 crore investment. Yes, you read it right! Akhil Akkineni has had a mixed bag in his personal and professional life. According to reports, Akhil's high-profile engagement to Shriya Bhupal, a business tycoon's granddaughter, was called off in 2017 after just a year. The couple, who had planned a grand wedding with over 700 guests, reportedly had a public spat in Hyderabad that made headlines. Despite the lavish engagement ceremony, the reasons behind their breakup remain unclear. Akhil Akkineni's father Nagarjuna has been working in cinema for decades, be it in Bollywood or the South cinema. His mother, Amala, has also been a pan India actress. Both of his parents have made a mark for themselves in the cinema world. But it seems Akhil has always got a bag of mixed reviews for his films. Talking about Akhil's last film 'Agent', which came out two years ago, was made on a budget of Rs 100 crore. After the film was released on pan pan-India level, this film could barely earn around Rs 10 crore at the box office. Not only on the big screen, Akhil's Agent had to struggle to release on OTT as well. On the professional front, Akhil will soon be seen in Lenin. It is a Telugu film directed by Murali Kishore Abburu and starring Akhil Akkineni and Sreeleela. Naga Vamsi, under Sithara Entertainments, and Nagarjuna, under Annapurna Studios, are producing the movie. The movie takes place against the backdrop of rural Rayalaseema. The title glimpse was released to celebrate Akhil Akkineni's birthday. Who is Zainab Ravdjee? For those of you who don't know, Zainab is the daughter of Zulfi Ravdjee, a businessman from Hyderabad who works in the construction industry. She is a Mumbai-born artist and an entrepreneur. According to several media reports, it is said that Akhil and Zainab dated before their engagement last year, although they kept their relationship secret.

Wamiqa Gabbi says she has ‘seen enough in life to not be affected' by the release fiasco of Bhool Chuk Maaf
Bhool Chuk Maaf, the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer time loop comedy, was ironically stuck in its own time loop of release. The makers had initially decided to skip its theatrical release and get a digital release. However, multiplex chain PVRINOX had moved the court challenging its producers' decision. Subsequently, the film was released in theatres on May 23. (Also read: Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf will now release in theatres on May 23, say makers) Now, in an interaction with Just Too Filmy, Wamiqa opened up about whether she learned anything about the entire issue of the film and the weight of holding on to such a film. Wamiqa said, 'It did nothing to me. I have seen enough in life to not be affected by this! It was a very big moment for me. I could have been crushed. I could have gone through multiple feelings. But I did not, because I have seen enough.' She explained, 'I have been rejected too many times. I have seen things being promised and then not happening. I have put all my faith into projects where I thought that this would just change my career or change my life, and it did not. I understood that it is not in my control. In all of that, my growth was still happening. Slow and steady.' It began when Maddock Films initially stated that the movie would skip its theatrical release on May 9 and get a digital release on Prime Video on May 16 due to the recent events and the heightened security drills across the nation following Operation Sindoor. The multiplex chain PVRINOX had moved the court challenging its producers' decision to release it on Prime Video directly. PVRINOX Limited (PVRINOX), Maddock Films Pvt. Ltd. (Maddock), and Amazon MGM Studios have reached an understanding and now the movie will be released in theatres on May 23. Bhool Chuk Maaf revolved around a soon-to-be-married man who realises that he is stuck in a time loop and keeps reliving the day before his wedding. It is available to watch on Prime Video.
