A cargo ship remains aground in the Humber Estuary despite three attempts to refloat it.H&S Wisdom became stuck on Sunday near Brough with the current navigation status by Vessel Finder, a website that tracks the status of ships, reported as aground.Humber Rescue attempted to refloat the vessel once on Sunday and twice on Monday but was unsuccessful.The tracker said the ship left Rotterdam on Saturday and was heading to Gunness Wharf Port near Scunthorpe.
Gunness Wharf Port is operated by RMS Trent Ports. It handles mainly bulk and steel-based imports and exports, accommodating vessels that are up to 328ft (100m) long.Humber Rescue was first alerted to the ship being aground at 21:08 GMT on Sunday.It attempted to re-float the vessel on Sunday but was unsuccessful.After coordination with HM Coastguard Humber, a second attempt was made at 07:00 on Monday morning with the assistance of three tugs.A third attempt was made at 18:00 the same day.According to the tracker website, the vessel is a general cargo ship that was built in 2004 and is currently sailing under the flag of the Netherlands.The BBC has contacted the ship's owners for comment.

KOCHI, India, June 9 (Reuters) - Multiple explosions and fires erupted on a cargo ship bound for India's financial capital Mumbai on Monday, causing 40 containers to fall into the Arabian Sea and forcing several crew members to jump overboard to escape the flames, officials said. The Singapore-flagged WAN HAI 503 met with an accident about 144 km (90 miles) off the coast of the southern Indian state of Kerala, said Shekhar Kuriakose, secretary of the state's disaster management authority. "According to preliminary information ... there were 22 workers on board the ship ... 18 jumped into the sea and are in rescue boats. Efforts are underway to rescue them," he said, adding that the vessel was not "currently sinking". Pictures and videos shared by the Indian coast guard on X showed a thick plume of black smoke rising from the ship, and some containers lying open and in disarray near the point where the smoke was escaping. "Vessel is presently on fire and adrift," a defence ministry public relations officer said on X. Officials did not disclose the nature of the cargo in the containers, nor what caused the explosions. A container vessel sank in another accident off Kerala last month, releasing 100 cargo containers into the Arabian Sea. The directorate general of shipping said on Friday there were no reports of oil pollution because of that incident.

During a rerun of the much-loved BBC show, which aired on Sunday 8th June, Brodie Castle served as the backdrop for a host of valuable discoveries. The episode showcased a man who presented Richard with a 1960s Rolex GMT-Master that once belonged to his uncle. Richard, examining the timepiece closely, told the owner: "All Rolex collectors refer to these things by their reference number," and "You know as well as I do because it says so on the dial that it's a GMT-Master." The owner shared that he had held onto the watch for about 32 years after inheriting it from his uncle, reports the Express. (Image: BBC) He guessed that the watch might have been a present to his uncle in the 1960s, leading Richard to investigate its provenance further. Richard clarified: "It's the reference 1675, which is the classic GMT-Master when you said 60s, I think we could fairly safely say 1960 to 1961, so that all fits in." Upon closer examination, Richard was delighted to discover the watch was unmodified, pointing out that many watches are often altered during servicing, which can disappoint collectors. He detailed: "They would've changed the bezel and they would've changed the dial with an upgrade," and then remarked: "You would've had it back thinking, 'Oh, it looks like new'. Collectors hate that, it's absolutely original, spot-on." The expert was then left a tad disappointed after inspecting the watch further, noting that it sported a jubilee bracelet rather than the original oyster type. He informed the downcast owner: "It's a Rolex product of course, but it says 'Made in the USA'. So perhaps he specified that he did not want the oyster bracelet, he wanted a jubilee bracelet and they put this one on for him. "Which sort of detracts from it a little bit, probably detracts from it by a couple of thousand pounds." Reacting to the valuation, the guest said ruefully: "Wish he bought more." However, Richard had some uplifting news, announcing that the Rolex is likely worth £12,000 to £15,000. Escaped zebra airlifted to safety after week on the loose
A pet zebra named Ed, who had been missing for a week after arriving in Christiana, Tennessee on May 30, was rescued. Ed's owner, Will White, reported him missing on May 31, and he was later spotted on surveillance video and by witnesses near highways before disappearing into a wooded area. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office aviation crews located Ed on Sunday morning. Ed was airlifted by helicopter to an animal trailer and returned to his owner. Watch the video above.
