The Summit is scheduled for May 19, 2025, at The Auction House, home of the Richard King Mellon Foundation. This premier event will unite HR professionals, business leaders, and workplace well-being advocates to foster essential dialogue on workplace mental health, employee well-being, and organizational resilience.

Helping The Teddy Bear Den serve 1,700 moms
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A few local businesses are showing their support for a Sioux Falls non-profit. Sunday's Beer, Bourbon and Beef fundraiser helped The Teddy Bear Den impact over 1,000 women. The new Miss South Dakota has been crowned As people mingled and enjoyed live music from the GoodRoad band, they were also supporting The Teddy Bear Den, a non-profit that supports low-income pregnant women. 'We provide them with formula, food, clothing, diapers, anything they could want,' said Loghin Welch, who is on the Teddy Bear Den Board of Directors. They provide those items by using an incentive-based system. 'We have point books, and with that point book, not using drugs, not using alcohol, attending their doctor's appointments, being healthy throughout their pregnancy, they get points. They can use those points in our store to buy those incentive items,' Welch said. Right now, The Teddy Bear Den serves around 1,700 moms. All the proceeds from tonight's ticket sales will be used to help them. 'The money from this specific event will actually go towards cribs and mattresses,' Welch said. The event would not have been possible without people like Tom Slattery, who owns JJ's Wine, Spirits and Cigars. He's been supporting The Teddy Bear Den for about 15 years. 'We call it a fun-raiser, not necessarily a fundraiser. It's more of a thank you to our biggest supporters, sponsors and partners,' Slattery said. It's a cause that Slattery loves supporting. 'It's the people. It's the mission. They provide a very valuable service to the community,' Slattery said. 'Sioux Falls has a big need for nonprofit work, especially in moms and babies, and they are the future of our community. We want those moms and babies to be healthy because those babies will grow up and live in Sioux Falls, hopefully,' Welch said. BAPS Charities raises thousands for Children's Cancer Center Tampa
The Brief BAPS Charities presented a check for $10,000 to the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa. Center leaders say this money helps provide comfort to more children and their caregivers. BAPS is a global organization with chapters in 5 continents and 9 countries. TAMPA - Some of the greatest joys and memories in life can come from our childhoods. But kids battling pediatric cancer and chronic blood disorders are often robbed of those experiences. That's where the Children's Cancer Center steps in. The backstory "It really is such a special place," explained Brittany Rudolph, COO of the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa. "We've been around for 50 years. The kids consider it their clubhouse. It's not a place where they get pricked and prodded, but a place they can be with kids that are just like them. They can pull their wigs off and feel comfortable being around children that are going through their similar battle. They call it the cancer party, and if that's what they're calling it, we're doing something right." Rudolph joined BAPS Charities on Sunday at Al Lopez Park as they presented her non-profit a check for $10,000. She says this will allow them to provide comfort to even more children and their caregivers. Dig deeper "We have 30 programs that it will funnel into; emotional, financial ,and educational support for every member of the family. We say when a child is diagnosed, the whole family is diagnosed, so we're there for them every step of this difficult journey." BAPS is a global organization with chapters in five continents and nine countries which raises money for different charities within their communities. The Children's Cancer Center was just one of several selected in the Bay Area to receive a generous donation at their annual walkathon, after the BAPS Tampa Chapter raised a total of $60,000 within this last year. "I think the real beauty of this organization lies in the people," said longtime BAPS volunteer, Hari Patel. "I mean, if you look around, you'll see kids, students, working professionals from all around the Tampa Bay community coming here, not just on their Sunday but helping around the entire month for this event and I think that speaks to the service and the mission of this organization." Shreveport's The Bridge hosts open house on dementia care
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Starting on Tuesday, June 3, The Bridge Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center will host open house tours every other Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 'The Bridge' offers support to caregivers The Bridge is the region's first dementia-centered adult day program. During the Tuesday tours, visitors will be able to meet the team, explore what services are available, and learn more about The Bridge's programs. These tours are a simple way for anyone—whether a caregiver, family member, or healthcare provider—to come see what we offer and ask questions in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
