‘Die With A Smile' Rewrites Records For Bruno Mars And Lady Gaga
This week, 'Die With a Smile' becomes a historic win yet again for both Gaga and Mars, though in different ways.
'Die With a Smile' Beats 'Just the Way You Are'
With 49 weeks on the Hot 100 already to its name, 'Die With a Smile' breaks out of a tie with another track in Mars's discography and stands alone as his third-longest-charting hit ever. Last frame, the Grammy-winning duet was matched with 'Just the Way You Are,' the cut that introduced Mars to the general public and became a multiweek No. 1 on the all-encompassing ranking.
'Die With a Smile' Will Soon Tie 'That's What I Like'
In a few weeks, 'Die With a Smile' will likely tie 'That's What I Like,' which spent 52 weeks — a complete year — on the Hot 100. Mars's longest-running success on the list remains 'Uptown Funk,' his collaboration with Mark Ronson. That track spent 56 weeks somewhere on the tally before slipping away.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars Could Chart For Months
It's highly unlikely that 'Die With a Smile' will vanish from the Hot 100 in the next few weeks, as it's rare for a track that's been around for months and which is still a top 10 hit to suffer such a steep decline in popularity. Even if it descends outside the most important region on the ranking, 'Die With a Smile' will likely take its time dipping south of the top 20 — and it could be months before Gaga and Mars see their duet finally finish its time on the list.
'Die With a Smile' Vs. "Just Dance"
As 'Die With a Smile' stands alone as Mars's third-longest-running Hot 100 hit, the track becomes Gaga's tune with the most weeks on the list to its credit. 'Die With a Smile' breaks its tie with 'Just Dance,' Gaga's introductory smash that also credits Colby O'Donis. That electronic dance-pop tune spent 48 frames on the Hot 100, and now it settles into the runner-up spot in her catalog.

9-1-1′s Oliver Stark Fuels Rumors of a Crossover With Spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville
Is Evan Buckley paying a visit to Music City this fall? A recent Instagram story posted by Oliver Stark has convinced fans of the first-responder franchise that a crossover between 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville is imminent. '6 Nashville Miles for breakfast,' Stark posted over the weekend on a video of himself running along the city streets, adding a smirking devil emoji for good measure. See a screenshot below: More from TVLine The Golden Bachelor's Mel Owens Offers Mea Culpa for 'Insensitive' Comments About Older Women: 'I've Learned a Lot' Matt Damon and Ken Jennings Risk It All on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - But Did They Win Big? ABC Moves Up Premiere Date for 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville and Grey's Anatomy Could Stark have simply been enjoying a weekend getaway to the country music capital of the world? Sure, Jan. But it's far more likely (not to mention way more fun) to speculate that a crossover is in the works. 9-1-1 only staged one full-blown crossover event with 9-1-1: Lone Star during its five-season run on Fox. The February 2021 episode included an iconic exchange between Buck and Lone Star's T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), who made it clear to Buck that he already had a boyfriend. And just think, that was three full years before Buck came out as bisexual! A second crossover aired in 2022, but it was only by way of a FaceTime call between 9-1-1′s Athena (Angela Bassett) and Lone Star's Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) and Grace (Sierra McClain). Led by Chris O'Donnell, 9-1-1: Nashville's series-regular roster includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and Hunter McVey. Regardless of whether Buck ends up sharing the screen with any of the Nashville crew, we do know that the two shows will be sharing a night on ABC's fall schedule. New episodes of 9-1-1 air Thursdays at 8/7c, followed by new episodes of 9-1-1: Nashville, beginning Oct. 9. Are you hoping for a meeting of the 9-1-1's this fall?
