Currently, the water level is rising at a rate of 2 centimetres per hour, with expectations of stabilisation by tonight.
The DM also emphasised the need for special attention to sick children, elderly and pregnant women.
A medical team will be present in the village. Additionally, the distribution of food should continue regularly, and an uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water should be ensured.

Himachal Pradesh monsoon havoc: 173 dead, highways shut, dam collapses; IMD warns of more rain

NEW DELHI: Relentless rain across Himachal Pradesh has left 383 roads blocked, 747 distribution transformers (DTRs) out of action and 249 water-supply schemes down, the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) said. The slide-scarred districts of Chamba, Kullu, Mandi and Una are worst hit, with local officials warning that many interior routes remain unreachable for repair crews. ON CAM: Flash Floods Wreak Havoc In Himachal Pradesh's Kullu, Over 20 Vehicles Damaged Rising death toll Since the monsoon began, 173 people have died in the state, according to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA). 95 fatalities are linked to rain-triggered landslides, flash floods and collapsing homes. 78 deaths have occurred in road accidents, many blamed on slick surfaces and poor visibility. National highways buried in debris Key mountain arteries—including NH-305, NH-505, NH-21 and NH-03—are blocked by landslides. In the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti, NH-505 is shut near Chhatru, while NH-305 in Kullu is closed at Jhed (Khanag), cutting off entire valleys for a second straight day. Cofferdam breach sparks fresh alarm In Kullu's Parvati Valley, a temporary cofferdam at the Malana-I hydro-electric project collapsed on Friday after debris-choked drainage pipes gave way. A wall of water swept heavy machinery downstream. The same project was battered by a flash flood last year. Dams on high alert Elsewhere, dam operators are watching water levels hour-by-hour. Bajoli Holi and Baira dams on the Ravi basin, and Sainj and Largi barrages on the Beas, have halted power generation due to high silt loads. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Thao Dien: A New Home for Seniors — Safe and Comfortable Senior Apartments | Search Ads Learn More Undo Malana-II remains shut with its gates open after Friday's surge. Relief operations grind on Engineers have restored some irrigation and sewerage schemes, but full normality may be days away, the SDMA warned, citing further rain in the forecast. State and district teams continue to clear debris, reopen roads and move stranded villagers to safer ground—yet every fresh cloudburst risks setting the recovery clock back to zero. Canada is choking as wildfire smoke smothers cities and spreads into US Midwest; Health warnings issued

Thick wildfire smoke drifting east from Canada 's Prairie provinces has blanketed large parts of the country, triggering special air-quality warnings and health advisories from British Columbia to Quebec. Environment Canada issued alerts Saturday(August 2) citing 'extremely high' levels of pollution in regions of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories, with the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) hitting level 10 or above, considered 'very high risk' for public health. Live Events Winnipeg was the only major Prairie city under a special air-quality statement, while northern Alberta, including Fort McMurray, is expected to see similar conditions by Sunday, according to Alberta's wildfire smoke forecast model. What these warnings mean Environment Canada issues air-quality warnings when AQHI levels exceed 10 for at least six consecutive hours. A special air-quality statement, meanwhile, is triggered when index levels reach between 7 and 10. Impact beyond Canada Smoke from Canadian wildfires has also affected US cities. Over the past week, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, and other Midwestern hubs registered dangerous AQI levels, prompting health alerts. In Minnesota, it marked the longest consecutive air-quality advisory in state history. The agency warns of mild symptoms such as eye, nose, and throat irritation, while more serious cases could involve chest pain and severe coughing. Pregnant individuals, infants, seniors, and people with respiratory illness are most at risk. Authorities advise people to stay indoors, use HEPA filters or N95 masks, and avoid strenuous outdoor activity. In Edmonton, where a separate heat warning remains in effect, officials have activated emergency cooling stations and are distributing water through fire hydrants and peace officers.
