Every year the month of May brings in the most awaited beauty pageant on the Island which has been held uninterrupted for the last 60 years at the Indian Club under the name 'MAY QUEEN'. The Indian Club May Queen pageant is a prominent beauty contest held as a calendar event which has gained popularity over the years and is considered as one of the premium competitions for the ladies with beauty and brains.
This year, the Indian Club May Queen 2025 will take place on Friday 23rd, May 2025, at The Indian Club premises, starting from 6pm onwards. The entry for the contest is open to all ladies between the age group of 17 years to 27 years, residing in Bahrain. Nationalities This beauty pageant over the years has attracted ladies of different nationalities like Bahrain, India, United Kingdom, US, Netherlands, Russia, Sri Lanka, France, Philippines, among others, for the coveted May Queen Crown.
The shortlisted contestants would be subjected to grooming sessions at the Indian Club premises to instill confidence and style. The Indian Club May Queen contest attracts audience from different walks of life, interested in this entertaining evening of beautiful ladies vying for various other categories like Best Smile, Best Walk, Best Hairdo, inclusive of the May Queen Crown, the First Runner-up and the Second Runner-up. Prizes The winners will walk away with attractive prizes inclusive of Cash, Jewellery, Fashion accessories and Gift hampers. The total prize money for the May Queen 2025 will be $3,000. The pageant will have three competitive rounds.

The grand event, held at The Indian Club in Manama, unfolded across multiple fashion segments and high-energy performances that kept the crowd engaged well past midnight. Organisers ensured a seamless blend of pageantry and entertainment, with the audience treated to both competitive fashion rounds and vibrant dance displays. Grace and Glamour The evening opened with a group dance by the 14 contestants, choreographed by Arti of Aurians Academy, followed by three competitive rounds: casual, ethnic, and party wear. Contestants showcased style and confidence, with evident professionalism attributed to grooming by choreographer Asar Ziya. A panel of judges had the tough task of selecting the top five finalists for the question-and-answer round. The crown ultimately went to Michelle Dsouza, with Feryl Rodrigues named first runner-up and Muskan Bhargav second runner-up. Special Accolades Other honours included Best Smile for Anoushka Rajwade, Best Walk for Feryl Rodrigues, and Best Hairdo for Michelle Dsouza. All winners received a mix of crowns, sashes, cash prizes, and luxury gifts including jewellery from Joyalukkas and Al Saraj Jewellers, and vouchers from I Point, Philips, and Al Aujan. All 14 contestants were awarded gift hampers, ensuring no participant went home empty-handed. Evening Highlights Beyond the pageant, the event featured performances from Phoenyx Avengers, Aura, Rhythm D+ Squad, Belly Dance troupe, Dazling Stars, Team IIPA, and Tarang Team. The night's blend of talent and celebration was powered by key sponsors Bahrain Financing Company, African Eastern, and Noureen Fashions. Gratitude The Indian Club's President and Executive Committee expressed gratitude to supporting ministries and all sponsors, highlighting the contribution of over 30 businesses and partners in making the evening a memorable success.

TDT | Manama The Indian Club is preparing to host one of Bahrain's iconic social events – the 'BFC May Queen 2025 Powered by African Eastern' – on Friday, May 23rd, 2025. The event will be held at the Club's Gudaibiya premises from 6pm onwards and is expected to attract over 1,500 attendees, including VIPs, dignitaries, Club members, and invited guests. This year's edition will feature 14 contestants of various nationalities, who will compete across three themed rounds – casual wear, ethnic or national costume, and party wear – followed by a final 'question and answer' segment. Winners will be crowned in multiple categories, with titles including May Queen 2025, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, and four individual honours: Best Walk, Best Smile, Best Hair-Do, and Audience Choice. The event is being choreographed by Mr Asar Ziya, who will guide the contestants' stage presence throughout the show.
